Story
We are all volunteers and can't respond to inquiries about dogs. If you are interested in one of our pups, please fill out an application and submit it for review. If you are good match with the dog chosen, someone will reach out for next steps. If you are not a match with the chosen dog, we may reach out to ask if yoi would be interested in another pup. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Ronny was living in an open garage exposed to the elements and with nobody to truly care for him or his needs. He was finally surrendered to our sister rescue in Guadalajara where he is slowly coming out of his She'll and learning to trust and be social with people and dogs. He has completed his protocol and is ready to find his family! He is now doing so much better and would love to find a family of his own where people include him in daily activities and don't leave him hours on end by himself.

Story
Meet Iggy, who is currently at our rescue in Oklahoma and looking for a loving family in a state where animals are treated well. He must be prepaid and picked up at one of the listed transport cities. Iggy and 3 other pups came into our rescue when a "breeder" called and wanted to surrender the pups and would harm them if we didn't take them. They claimed all 4 were Labradoodles, but they all look drastically different. We have received his DNA results and he is 65% Lab/Poodle, 29% Great Pyrenees, and the rest is Golden Retriever, Australian Cattle Dog, German Shepherd, and Beagle. Male, approx. 6 months old (as of October 31) Currently 35 pounds (October 31) Loves all attention with people or other dogs Loves water Genetic testing says he has a gene for reduced shedding. Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster in Lacey, WA with two cats and two other dogs TOMMY is a beautiful super friendly and loving maybe Lab mix maybe some pit? (estimated DOB 6/25/25), neutered male. . He will probably get to be 45-60#s when grown. TOMMY sees life as a playground filled with fun, fun, fun. He is smart and loves toys of all kind… but his favorite is water. That must be the Lab in him. In Texas he was put in a pen with 2 other pups his size and his age and they had not been exposed to a swimming pool. It took all of 10 mins and he had them jumping in and playing like fish. He kept after them to run and chase and jump into the water. that was in TX. Now that he is here in WA and it is cold, we haven't had him in water other than rain! Tommy will make a great family pet. He loves people … of all ages and size. Don’t miss out on this opportunity. He uses the dog door and potties outside... but he is still a puppy and he could need a refresher a bit when going to a new home. Last two photos are from when Tommy was a younger puppy. Check out our YouTube Video: This video is when Tommy was younger and in rescue in Texas. https://youtu.be/-LwAdR5eEuk Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. ZIGGY is adorable…a real BIG TEDDY BEAR Lover. He is probably a Lab/Boxer mix. DOB 7/2/21 (4 yrs old). He weighs 78#...and is definitely 10-15# overweight. He needs less food and more exercise. Ziggy is a big boy but very affectionate. He is crate trained and house trained. He does well on the leash…but occasionally will pull when he’s interested in things. He loves being with other dogs…very playful. He ignores the cat. He loves all people that come up to him. He needs an active family and older children… 10+ ...to throw the ball and give him exercise. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. Story
In foster near Tumwater, WA Lab/Hound is the closest breed we can guess on her, She is house trained! .10-12 months of age the vet guessed. Pita is a gentle, maybe a year-old Lab/Hound mix who has come a long way since being rescued from a hoarding situation in Texas. Now safe in a loving foster home near Olympia, she’s discovering what it means to feel secure, cared for, and part of a family. She is potty trained! This sweet girl is on the shy side and can be slow to warm up to new people—although some people she is comfortable with asap!. Understandable given her past—but once she trusts you, she blossoms into an affectionate, playful friendly, loyal companion who loves nothing more than curling up next to someone on the couch. She looks like she wakes up and puts on eyeliner every morning and can melt your heart with her big brown eyes. Pita currently lives with two children (ages 5 and 9) and has been gentle and patient in her foster home. Still, because of her timid nature, she would thrive perhaps in a quieter environment with adults or older kids who can give her the calm, steady reassurance she needs. She also tested fine with cats in Texas. She walks well on a front clip harness. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted, soulful dog who just needs a little time and love to shine, Pita may be the perfect match. She’s ready to start her new life—could it be with you? This is the link to apply to adopt. https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ Currently ALL dogs we have posted from Lufkin-Kurth Texas are not only human and dog friendly but cat friendly too! She is not totally 1`00% confident yet, so perhaps no toddlers who can run/scream, perhaps older children which would be a calmer home. Likely she would adore being with another dog. We were informed Bo is his brother. Many dogs are impossible to say the breeds but it is anyone's guess. As we know, mutts statistically speaking will live longer and have less vet bills!. All of our Lufkin Kurth Texas dogs were hand selected and are literally their favorites. Everyone who has adopted adores their dogs. She will totally win you over. , Please do apply!!! All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on DHPP and rabies shots, microchipped, tested hw negative, so all of that is done. Our adoptions include professional dog rescue transport to WA and health certificates (vet visit just prior to coming to WA). Any questions, please email us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com Best to include your phone number and good times to call too!
