Story
Meet Boogie Boogie is the definition of a second chance done right. This handsome guy was rescued just in time—the night before his life was set to end—after being left behind when his family moved away, forcing him and his doggy siblings to survive alone in a garage. Despite everything he’s been through, Boogie’s spirit is nothing short of amazing. At around 6 years old and 60 lbs, Boogie is a total sweetheart with a calm, easygoing personality. He’s a “happy-go-lucky” kind of guy who takes life in stride and just enjoys being near his people. With low to medium energy, he’s the perfect balance—happy to join you for a walk or lounge around for a cozy evening at home. Boogie is already potty trained and a fantastic listener, which makes him a breeze to have in the home. He knows basic commands like sit and shake, and with his eagerness to please, he’ll pick up anything new quickly. He’s also a social guy—Boogie does great with other dogs and has done well with school-aged children, making him a wonderful addition to a variety of home environments. Since leaving the shelter, Boogie has been thriving—he’s gaining healthy weight and his skin is improving every day with proper care and good nutrition. It’s clear he just needed someone to show him what love and consistency look like. Foster Needed: Because we were up against the clock to save his life, Boogie is currently in a local boarding facility. While he’s safe, what he really needs is a home—somewhere he can decompress, feel comfortable, and show his true personality. He would thrive in a foster home while he waits for his forever family. Now, Boogie is ready for his next chapter—a foster or forever home that will cherish him, keep him safe, and never let him be forgotten again. In return, he’ll give you loyalty, companionship, and the kind of unconditional love only a dog like Boogie can offer. microchipped, neutered, vaccinated and heartworm negative Adoption $500 www.northwestwagrescue.org ##2696096##

Hanna – The Perfect Blend of Adventure & Companionship Hanna is a beautiful Labrador mix with a wonderfully balanced personality. She has a gentle, social nature paired with a moderate energy level, making her an ideal companion for both outdoor adventures and quiet, cozy days at home. She loves being around people and gets along great with other dogs, making her an easy fit for many types of families. Whether it’s going for a walk, exploring new places, or simply relaxing by your side, Hanna is happiest when she’s with her humans. Smart and food-motivated, Hanna is eager to learn and responsive to guidance. She already has solid leash manners and adapts well to home life, making her a joy to have as part of your daily routine. With her loving heart and easygoing nature, Hanna is ready to be someone’s loyal, lifelong companion. Hanna’s Ideal Home Hanna would thrive in a loving, stable home where she can truly be part of the family. Her balanced energy makes her a great match for individuals or families who enjoy both activity and downtime. She would love daily walks and occasional outdoor adventures, but she’s just as happy relaxing at home. Hanna can adapt to a house or apartment as long as her physical and emotional needs are met. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would do well with a friendly canine companion, but she could also thrive as the only pet with plenty of love and attention. A home that offers structure, routine, and positive reinforcement will help her continue to shine. Most of all, Hanna is looking for a place where she will be included, loved, and cherished every day. Her Story Hanna was left behind in a park. She didn’t run. She didn’t search far. She simply waited—circling the same spot, as if hoping the people who left her would come back. When she was found, she was dehydrated, scared, and fragile… but still holding onto hope. Her rescuer couldn’t walk away. From that moment on, Hanna was given a second chance—and now she’s ready for the life she’s always deserved: one filled with love, safety, and belonging. Hanna is currently waiting in Mexico for a committed 10-day trial family If you’re interested in giving Hanna the home she’s been waiting for, please apply at: www.northwestwagrescue.org Adoption Fee: $600 ##2701741##

Story
Meet Alfredo Age: 2.5 years (March birthday) Gender: Male Breed: Mixed – 30% Labrador, 30% Great Pyrenees, 18% Pitbull, and other mixes (DNA results available) Why He’s Looking for a New Home Alfredo was adopted through NW Wag Rescue as a tiny puppy after being found in the desert of New Mexico with his mom and seven siblings. His current family has given him a wonderful start and invested time, training, and love into him. However, due to his size, strength, and reactivity around other dogs and strangers, they feel he would be happier and safer in a different environment. With two young children at home and a busy neighborhood, it has become clear that Alfredo would thrive in a calmer, more suitable home. His family loves him deeply, and this rehoming decision is based on what’s best for him long-term. Personality & Temperament Alfredo is a loyal, affectionate dog who adores his people. He’s equally happy adventuring outdoors on runs and hikes or spending the day lounging and snuggling on the couch. He’s very attached to his family, following them from room to room, and he thrives on closeness and attention. He is protective of his home and family, barking at noises or new visitors. With unfamiliar people, he can be nervous at first—barking and growling—but with patience and calm introductions, he warms up and turns into a total sweetheart, often rolling over for belly rubs once he feels safe. Alfredo is sensitive to loud noises (especially fireworks) and prefers peaceful environments over crowded, noisy places. He enjoys running and zooming in the yard but isn’t interested in fetch or most toys. He does, however, like chew toys, treats, and people food in moderation. Behavior with People & Animals Kids: Alfredo has been excellent with the two young children in his family. However, due to his reactivity and size, it is recommended that he live in a home without young children for safety and comfort. Dogs: His behavior depends on the setting. At daycare, he does wonderfully, playing with groups of 30–50 dogs and even boarding without issue. At home or on walks, though, he can be reactive—barking, growling, or lunging at other dogs. He once got out and scuffled with a passing dog but was quickly called back and no injuries occurred. Cats: He hasn’t lived with cats. On walks, he tends to bark and pull toward them. Training & Habits Leash trained: Yes, though reactive toward other dogs at times. House trained: Very reliable and signals when he needs to go out. Crate trained: Yes. Sleeps in his crate most nights and stays crated if left home longer than an hour. Sleeping arrangements: Usually in his crate, occasionally in bed with his family. Health Alfredo takes 40 mg of Fluoxetine daily to help manage anxiety. Healthy overall with a strong stomach. Ideal Home Alfredo will do best as the only pet in a calm home with a securely fenced yard. His ideal adopter will be someone (or a couple) who has time to dedicate to his exercise, training, and, most importantly, affection. Because of his protective and anxious nature, a quieter area outside of dense city life is recommended. In return, Alfredo will give endless love, loyalty, and companionship—along with the bonus of being a natural guard dog. Strengths Loving, affectionate, and submissive with his family Athletic and well-trained Loyal and protective Low-maintenance lifestyle (happy to lounge or adventure) Areas for Growth Managing anxiety and nervousness Reactivity toward other dogs while on leash Please fill out an adoption application to get in touch with his current family and to learn more about him and schedule a meet and greet. Rehoming fee $200 ##2532613##
