Story
Meet Shadow, a six-year-young male Australian Labradoodle, 40 lbs. (he does NOT shed but needs haircuts). He is affectionate, and is well-trained in basic commands, including sit, stay, come, off, out, and up. He will greet you, loves to give kisses, house trained and crate trained. He currently lives with another dog and cat.We are seeking an experienced, adult-only home and someone who is familiar with reactivity management. Shadow thrives with clear boundaries, and positive reinforcement. He exhibits reactive behaviors toward other dogs, loud noises, and disturbances while asleep. He also practices resource guarding with food and valued items. To manage these behaviors, Shadow eats and sleeps in his crate. He's had one on one training with a professional trainer, clicker training and muzzle training. This is a difficult decision for us, and our priority is to ensure his success in his new home. Adoption will require an application, and a slow introduction process.

Story
Hello, I’m Sebastian 🐾 A 3-year-old Labrador–Doberman mix, about 27 kilos of love, elegance, and joy. I’ve got the long, lean body of a Doberman and the warm, food-loving heart of a Labrador — truly the best of both worlds. My journey hasn’t always been easy. I spent too long in a city shelter and eventually found myself on the euthanasia list. Just in time, Dream Tails stepped in and gave me a second chance, bringing me to their training center — and now I’m ready for the next chapter of my life. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and communicate beautifully with them, showing my feelings clearly and setting boundaries in a calm, respectful way. I walk nicely on leash and don’t pull, making our walks something we can both enjoy. I’m often told I’m very handsome — but what truly sets me apart is my heart. I’m overflowing with love, and every bit of attention makes my heart feel like it might burst. I can’t wait to experience the comfort of a warm home and to finally feel safe with my forever family. Because I haven’t lived in a home before, I might show a little puppy mischief at first as I adjust. With patience, guidance, and understanding, I’ll settle in and thrive — I promise my love will make it all worth it. All I’m dreaming of is a family who will give me time, kindness, and cuddles… especially cozy moments on the sofa with my mommy and daddy. 🫶🏻 Could you be my forever family?

Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster homeHi… I’m Dami 🐾I’m a 2-year-old male, a small Labrador mix (about 10 kg). People say I’m a little guy with a really big story. There was a time when I almost didn’t make it. I was rescued just before it was too late… but even after that, I was very weak, and my body wasn’t doing well. When I went to the hospital, they found something I was born with—my organs were stuck near my chest, and I needed a big surgery. It was really hard… but I held on. And somehow, I made it through. Now, I’m healthy. Fully recovered. And I feel like I’ve been given a whole new life. These days, I’m full of energy and love. I’m playful, curious, and I’ll come up to you with bright eyes like, “Hey… want to play?” 🤭 I love people—so, so much. If you let me, I’ll stay close, ask for cuddles, and show you all my little charms. I get along well with other dogs too, so I’m happy making friends.I prefer going potty outside, so if you take me on regular walks and guide me gently, I’ll learn your routine quickly. If I do well, your praise makes my tail wag like crazy. And if I make a mistake… I hope you’ll teach me kindly. I really want to understand.Home life is still new to me, so I might be a little unsure at first. But I promise—if you give me patience and love, I’ll find my way fast. I’m not just a rescue dog. I’m a dog who was given life again. And now… all I want is a place where I can finally rest, a person I can love for the rest of my life. I’ve already been through so much—but from here on, I hope my story is full of warm days, soft moments, and a forever family. …Could that be you? 💛

Story
My name is Blackie, and I’m a 4-year-old female Labrador mix weighing around 22kg — a healthy, comfortable medium-large size. I may have a black coat that stands out, but what people notice first about me isn’t just my appearance… it’s my gentle eyes and the soft, warm energy I give off. I tend to quietly melt into people’s hearts without even trying. 💛 I’ve always been the kind of dog who prefers to live close to people. I feel happiest when I can breathe, move, and simply exist beside someone I trust. In structured kennel environments, I found it difficult because I had to spend a lot of time alone and follow strict routines without much human connection. During that time, I showed signs of loneliness — because what I wanted most was simply to be near people. Since moving into a foster home, I’ve changed a lot. I’ve become much more stable, more relaxed, and much happier. I love being close to my caregiver, following them around the house, and resting nearby. My expression has softened, and I’ve started to show my affectionate side more and more. I truly enjoy “being together” — that’s where I feel safest and happiest. I may have experienced neglect and hardship in the past. No one knows all the details of my earlier life, but I carry quiet traces of it with me. Even so, I never gave up on people. I didn’t become cold or distant. Instead, I slowly learned that human kindness can feel warm and safe. And now, I’m learning how to love again. I’m not looking for someone who will only feed me or take me out. I’m looking for a family — someone who will share time with me, talk to me, look into my eyes, and make everyday moments feel meaningful. I feel happiest in those small, ordinary moments. There is one important thing I still need help with: being alone. Because I love people so much, I may struggle a little when I’m left by myself for long periods. I’m not severely anxious, but I do form strong bonds, and I need gentle practice learning that being alone is safe too. If I’m introduced gradually to alone time — starting with short periods and slowly increasing — I can learn to feel more secure and confident. What helps me most is consistency and reassurance, not pressure. I may also still be learning parts of home life — walking routines, house rules, household sounds, and daily rhythms. But I am very motivated by human connection. When I feel loved and encouraged, I naturally try to understand and adapt. At first, I may want to stay very close to you as I adjust to a new environment. Instead of forcing independence too quickly, I need patience and emotional safety while I build trust. A calm routine, regular walks, and gentle companionship will help me feel grounded. I’m not just a dog who needs care. I’m a dog who wants to belong. Somewhere along my journey, I learned what it feels like to be loved — and now I want to hold onto that feeling forever. I want a home where I can finally relax, where I don’t have to wonder if I’ll be left behind again. I may have started my life with loneliness, but I’m hoping my future will be filled with presence, warmth, and love. I’m Blackie, and I’m waiting for the family who will let me stay close… not just for a while, but forever. 🐾
