Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello, my name is Romeo! I am big boy with a big and adventurous heart! I love to go out to the park and explore the fields and (my all time favorite), play in the water! I truly believe I was born to swim...I would swim all day if I was allowed to! I love to dive under to get rocks from the bottom of the creeks, and I love playing a good ole' game of fetch, too! I will retrieve anything you throw into the water! I am looking for a home with no kids or cats, however, I do get along with other dogs and enjoy their company! I would love a family who is very outdoorsy and adventurous just like me, and who has strong dog handling experience. I am a smart boy and I can't wait to show you everything that I know! Romeo's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccinations plus a 6 week basic obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha, IA. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes reference and vet checks, a background check and a home visit.  Please complete an adoption application for consideration at AdoptHope.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 23, 2023, 8:08 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Athena may be considered a senior dog, but don't tell her that - she certainly doesn't feel like a senior! This girl still enjoys playing, giving you a good workout on a leash and being an all around spitfire when the mood strikes her! She is a wonderful dog, with just a little gray in the muzzle : )   Athena is not a match with cats, they definitely bring out the "chase" in her! Athena could be a match in a home with easy going dogs that are smaller than her, she's happy to meet your pooches and see how they all get along.  Athena is best suited with kids 6+ years old, and she does take some daily prescription meds that she will need to continue on long term. Athena is seeking an owner that isn't gone long days, she'll enjoy your company too much to have you away after all!   Athena's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives plus a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check as well as a home visit.  Please submit an adoption application for consideration through our website, www.Adopthope.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 23, 2023, 8:08 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lyme + and Anaplasma + Hello my nam e is Herkie! I am 12 year old yellow lab weighing around 60 pounds. I really like getting pets and attention from my humans and don't forget the walks, I really love walks!  I will thrive in a home by myself since I love getting all the pets or with another dog around my size or smaller that is non dominant please.  My two other favorite things to do in my foster home are napping and eating as I am very treat motivated. Since I am a foodie I should be fed separately in the home from others to help to avoid any extra stress and anxiety for me. I am currently working on building up trust with my foster family learning that they will come back since I have a fear of abandonment from my past. I am potty trained and am a good boy with a great mixture of being chill and wanting to relax with my humans and still have energy for walks.  I am crate trained but I free roam in the house when my foster family is gone.  My foster mom says I am a handsome boy with a great smile looking for a forever home to call mine.  I might be a senior dog but I have so much love to give and I really want my own family to love for the rest of my life so skip the crazy puppy stage and come see me!   Herkie's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Herkie is seeking an indoor only home.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, kept current on vaccinations and preventatives and be altered.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check as well as a home visit, please submit an adoption application on our website if you would like to meet Herkie! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello my name is Moose and even though I am tall and big boy don't let my looks deceive you I am a gentle giant with a lot of energy and love to give. Let me tell you about myself... I am an 80 lb. labradoodle that also has the looks of an Irish wolfhound. I am almost 2 years old and love walks, dog parks, hanging out with my family, and cuddling at night with my person. My foster mom and I walk 1-2 miles per day and I love it! I need lots of toys and bones to keep me busy since I am still a puppy and to make sure I don't get into something I should not have. I currently free roam in my foster mom's home and live with one other medium sized dog. I would love to live with another large dog that wants to play with me. As much as I love to go for walks, I do want a safe and secure fenced yard to run and play with my new fur-sibling! I know sit, shake, speak and I will sit and wait for my food until given the code word "free" to eat. If you want a best friend who is a great combination of; walks well on leash, lots of energy with lots love to give then I am your boy.  Moose's adoption fee is $300 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and monthly preventatives.  Moose is seeking an indoor only home. If you are interested in meeting Moose, please submit an adoption application through our website www.Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that potential adopters with a history of owning animals have a history that includes having kept them as indoor pets only, altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 23, 2023, 8:08 pm

Story
Lily is a 2-3 year old Lab and Husky mix. She weighs 46 pounds. Lily loves to play and fetch. Her two favorite things are walks and belly rubs. Lily plays well with other dogs. We are guessing a cat would be a fun toy to chase. If you are looking for that dog who looks at you like you hung the moon, Lily is your girl – as long as you keep rubbing her belly. Lily happily greets new people and is always up for a new adventure. Lily requires a physically fenced yard so she can safely run and play. Lily was found as a stray. She served her stray hold and her owners never came looking for her. Lily is housetrained, kennel trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped. Story
Jet is a one-year-old, 70 pound Black Lab mix. This guy is a lover. He likes to be near his people and is a snuggler. Jet is shy about meeting new people because he doesn’t have a lot of experience at it. He loves to be petted and sticks close to his people. Jet loves to play and would love a dog buddy to play with in his new home. At night Jet snuggles close to his foster parents and sleeps all night. When his foster parents are gone Jet is left loose in their home. Jet requires a physically fenced yard to run and play safely. Jet is house trained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. If you would like to meet Jet, please complete the adoption application on our website: furfunrescue.org.
