Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tina Lu, a wonderful 6-year-old black lab blend who is looking for a soft place to land and a family to adore. Tina Lu is a sweet girl who truly loves love; she is a devoted companion who just wants to be by your side. She recently came into our care because her previous owners faced health issues that made it difficult to provide the care she needs, but she is now more than ready to start her next big adventure with a new family. Currently, Tina Lu is on a bit of a weight loss journey, and has lost 5 pounds in her first three weeks with us! To help her feel her best, she is enjoying a specialized weight management diet while she stays with us. We know that with consistent walks and plenty of daily yard time, she will be back to her healthiest self in no time. She is a resilient girl who doesn’t let a few extra pounds get in the way of her happy spirit, and she is looking for a partner to help her stay active and healthy for years to come. Her previous family shared that Tina Lu is incredibly social and gets along with just about everyone she meets. She is a deeply loving girl who would be thrilled to find a home with a fenced-in yard where she can stretch her legs and maybe some older children to play with. While she is a friend to many, she would do best in a home without feline friends. If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate girl who will be your most devoted cheerleader, Tina Lu is waiting to meet you! If you're interested in meeting Tina Lu, please complete an online adoption application as the first step of the meet & greet process. This application can be found on our website at www.wesavepets.com.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 1, 2026, 7:16 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Big Mac is a handsome and strong fella, estimated to be around two years old with a loving heart to match his size. Believed to likely be a Lab blend, he was found as a stray near Lake Iowa and is now ready for his forever home! This energetic boy loves attention and is a big fan of outdoor activities, particularly going for walks and spending time in a secure, fenced yard. His enthusiasm can make him a bit of a handful when he gets excited due to his strength and size, but he's making great progress with his manners and obedience training. Big Mac is looking for an active family that is comfortable with a large, powerful dog. The ideal home will be committed to continuing his training to help him blossom into the best companion he can be. With some guidance on his leash skills and general obedience, we know that Big Mac will be a loyal and loving addition to the right household.  Please complete an online adoption application for Big Mac if you're interested in meeting him! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Nelson, a handsome and enthusiastic young boy who's ready to find his forever family! This lovely boy was found as a local stray near North English and, sadly, was never reclaimed. Estimated to be around 1.5 years old, Nelson is possibly a Labrador Retriever mix—we suspect he may have a touch of Red Heeler based on his unique, beautiful markings and the charming speckled spots on his legs. Nelson is the definition of an active boy; he is absolutely ready to 'go, go, go!' and would thrive with an owner who enjoys an energetic lifestyle, be it jogging or long hikes. What truly sets him apart is his wonderful disposition toward people: he is oh so friendly and incredibly affectionate, thriving on human interaction and attention, and he has yet to meet a stranger! Nelson has met several canine friends while in our care (including his current 'bestie' Daisy!) Daisy and Nelson get along very well with matched energy and alike playstyles. Nelson enjoys going for walks with his canine friends (after proper introductions take place), having supervised playtime in our large fenced-in yards, but of course always enjoys the company of humans too!  If you're interested in meeting Nelson, please complete an adoption application as the first step of the meet & greet process. This application can be found on our website at www.wesavepets.com. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 14, 2026, 7:59 am

Story
Delilah is a 2-year-old, 59-pound very good girl with a big heart, long legs, and enough personality to fill the room. Her DNA is probably made up of 20 different kinds of dog, resulting in a one-of-a-kind mix that’s as fun as it is lovable. Delilah’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. She spent two days running loose as a stray in freezing temperatures before being brought to the Bethany Pound. Despite that rough start, she greets life with enthusiasm and a wagging tail, ready to make up for lost time. She is an energetic young dog who loves to play, especially with toys and other dogs her size. Delilah thrives on movement and would be happiest with a family that enjoys an active lifestyle and playtime as much as she does. Because she loves to run and stretch her legs, a physically fenced yard is required so she can play safely and burn off energy. Delilah is ready to trade cold nights and uncertainty for a warm home, steady routine, and people who will love her as much as she loves life. If you’re looking for a playful, loyal companion with a whole lot of joy to give, Delilah might be your perfect match. Delilah is house and kennel trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested. If you’d like to meet Delilah, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Delilah you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $300

Story
Meet Norton: 60 Pounds of Toddler Energy in a Grown-Dog Suit Norton is a 3 year old, 60 pound Lab mix who somehow skipped the “mature adult” phase and went straight from puppyhood to… enthusiastic toddler. He lives his life with the confidence of someone who absolutely believes toys are a full-time job. Tossing them, pouncing on them, flinging them into the air, repeat for several hours. No batteries required. Norton loves to run, zoom, and generally conduct business at high speed, so a physically fenced yard is a must. On a leash, Norton channels strong “toddler holding a balloon” energy. Direction is optional. Enthusiasm is not. The good news? Norton is a dream in the car. He loads himself up like a seasoned road trip professional and happily watches the world roll by, judging other drivers silently from his seat. He does well with other dogs and enjoys canine company, though he has firm opinions about rude behavior. If another dog comes in hot and aggressive, Norton is not impressed. Boundaries matter. And when the toys are finally dropped and it’s officially nap time, Norton flips the switch and becomes an excellent cuddler. This high-energy goof is very happy to curl up close and recharge with his people. Norton is both house trained and kennel trained, which means when he’s not busy throwing toys like an Olympic sport, he knows how to be a good boy indoors. If you’re looking for a joyful, goofy, toy-obsessed companion who brings laughter, movement, cozy naps, and the occasional leash zigzag into your life, Norton is ready to move in and rearrange your daily routine. In the best way possible. Norton is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested. If you’d like to meet Norton, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Norton you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $300

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Charlie is the bestest boy, and someone is going to be darn lucky when they scoop him up! If you’re looking for a dog that is up for adventure, be that exploring the outdoors together or napping on the couch, he’s your man. If you’re looking for a dog that’s good with every person they meet, including kids, Charlie’s your man. If you’re looking for a dog that will bond quickly and that’s a smart pup who will pick up additional cues/commands with ease, well look no further!  This dog is a total package!  Charlie joined us in rescue and was in need of some TLC. He’d spent some time living in an outdoor kennel, and had a torn ACL in addition to Lyme disease. Charlie has gone through treatment, including surgery on his injured leg, and has come through with flying colors! He took surgery, cage rest and physical therapy like a champ and is now feeling better than ever and ready to get out and explore. Charlie is not a fan of being kenneled or left alone for long stretches, he had enough of that to last a lifetime so for this next chapter he’s looking to be someone’s full-time sidekick. Charlie is not a great match with other dogs or cats.  Charlie’s adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and monthly preventatives. Charlie is seeking an indoor home only, if you would like to meet him please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their pets as indoor pets only, altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 19, 2024, 7:58 am
