Story
Bodie is a 3 ½ year old Black Labrador Retriever. He is a typical happy lab and likes everyone he meets. Bodie was raised with children and adores them. He loves attention and will let you pet him until your arm falls asleep. Bodie is good with other dogs and cats. He requires a physically fenced yard. Bodie came into rescue as an owner surrender with another lab. His mom died a year ago and two dogs, numerous cats, and 6 kids were just too much for dad to handle alone. Bodie weighed in at 159 pounds at the vet. He passed chubby about 40 pounds ago. The good thing is Bodie is doing well on his diet at his foster home and is losing weight. He doesn’t have thumbs to open the fridge or his food container, so he is going to be successful at losing weight. He does know how to tell time and will bark at you if it’s feeding time and you aren’t getting his food ready. It’s going to take some time for him to get back down to a healthy weight. Bodie is becoming more mobile and playful as he loses weight. When his foster parents are gone Bodie is free in their home. Bodie can so some stairs to go out to potty but can’t live in a 2 story home. He isn’t able to do a whole flight of stairs yet. Bodie also doesn’t have much experience getting in and out of a car and seems to be nervous on car rides. Bodie is perfectly potty trained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. If you would like to meet Bodie, please complete the adoption application on our website: furfunrescue.org. If you have any questions about Bodie you can email Rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adoption fee: $250.00 Indoor homes only. Adopters must be in a 2 hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA

Story
Magnum is one of a litter of 12 puppies. His mama is Mavis, a 65 pound Black Lab mix. We pulled Mavis from a rural MO shelter because she was pregnant and heartworm positive. She and her babies didn’t have a chance there. Mavis gave birth to 12 precious pups on April 18th after she was safely tucked in our foster home. She had 9 boys and 3 girls. Since the puppies look so different, we assume there are multiple dads to this litter. Every one of them was a deadbeat dad and none of them stuck around to help Mavis. The puppies are not a wild and crazy herd. They are all pretty calm and cuddly, but each have their own personalities. Please apply for the puppy you would like but plan on interacting with all the puppies in the litter so you can see their individual personalities. Magnum will be 10 weeks old on June 27th and will be ready to go to his new home. He currently weighs 6 pounds. Magnum will be neutered, microchipped, dewormed and will have the first two distemper/parvo vaccinations. His adopters will be responsible for his 3rd distemper/parvo booster at 14 weeks and his rabies at 16 weeks. Magnum is doing well at going outside to do his “business” but is a young puppy, so his forever home needs to have the ability to get him out to potty every 4 hours throughout the day until he is older. Magnum will be a large adult and requires a physically fenced yard to run and play safely. If you would like to meet Magnum, please complete the adoption application on our website at www.furfunrescue.org.  If you have questions about Magnum please contact rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657.  Adopters must be within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA.  Indoor homes only.  Adoption donation $250.
