Story
Meet Zuri! Our beautiful little girl that is mixed with all sorts of gorgeous dog elements that include most probably Border Collie/Husky mix.  This crystal blue eyed girl has waited a long time to have her chance to be offered for adoption.  You see she was part of a cruelty case back in October and was severely malnourished and was pregnant with babies.  All her pretty babies have been adopted but poor Zuri was left behind.  She was taken from the small TN shelter last month to decompress and learn some home/family life.  She is ready now for a wonderful new family to call her own .  This girl is a mature and settled 3-4 years old, spayed, UTD on vaccinations, HW- and ready for the good life with a family that will love and cherish her forever. Her beautiful blue eyes and open personality will make you love her instantly.  This girl loves to run and play in the yard with other dogs and absolutely loves the water! She does good as your passenger in the car for pup cup runs and would do good in a home with older, dog savvy children that are 10 years and above. She is still learning not to pull on her leash and is doing very good at her sit command. Zuri just wants her chance to prove that she’s a great family member and cuddle up with you at night!  If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained, pretty girl that deserves the best life from her on out…please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 12, 2024, 7:53 pm

Story
Luna is a beautiful young Lab mix girl who has endured a very unstable start to her life that has left her shy and unsure of herself at just 5-6 months of age.  This 25 pound girl is precious in body and soul and craves a confident hand to show her how to enjoy the world around her with joy and delight.   She is so pretty and actually her ears stand up when she is not being shy for the camera.  This sweet girl lived in a single bedroom of a disabled man for months and finally Critter Cavalry Rescue was able to secure a foster home for her to leave and get the great foster home that could work with her to build her self-esteem.  She rides well in a car and walks nicely on a leash.  She is wonderful with cats, other dogs and shyly accepts attention from strangers.   She will be a new girl in a short time of living with a competent and capable foster mom and family.   She would be wonderful with children too!  We envision this girl going to live with someone that has another confident, mature dog and who can take her on walking adventures and playful times in a fenced backyard.  Luna will be a top weight of 45 pounds when fully grown.   She has all the good stuff in her heart and soul and personality to be one of the move loving dogs you could ever adopt into your home.  If you are interested please write to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 12, 2024, 7:53 pm

Story
Nina is a little girl who was born around Mid-May and the family who had their dog give birth, moved away from their country rental and left 10 puppies behind with no plan for food or water…..just an outdoor pen.  After several months of a neighbor feeding them, Critter Cavalry Rescue was called in to help take them from the pen and give them a chance to find homes.  This girl survived months of abandonment and starvation and has emerged with a few social hesitancies and insecurities, yet a smart mind and loving soul.  She is crate trained, housebroken, wonderful with children that are young, other dogs and also cats.  She is a champ when it comes to being there for you but socially skittish when there are loud noises, sudden movements from outside and thunderstorms.  Nina is coming in to a place that she is showing confidence and not scared of certain things.  She will get there soon, but will need someone that doesn’t require her to be perfect.  She truly is perfect in so many ways despite her really challenging early months as a litter that was abandoned.  Nine is a lab/Pit mix that is beautiful and 44 pounds and a full weight as an adult.   She is very sweet and loving and good with children,  dogs, but NO CATS…..she loves to chase.    She is housebroken and she is crate trained and is a true outdoor girl. She loves to sunbath on the back patio and she welcomes the opportunity to meet new people.  She is pretty good on a leash and good on car rides and great recall that usually works for her.  She is a companion puppy.  She is a Lab/Pit mix and has the heart and soul of a Golden Retriever.   If you are interested in giving this homeless girl a new life and family, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 12, 2024, 7:53 pm

Story
Our girl Thelma was found with her sister Louise wondering on a backcountry highway with certain death looming if they were not picked up and taken out of the roadway. They were confused and they were hungry and they were thirsty. Their life started all over again the day this kind woman put them in her truck and carry them to a critter cavalry foster mom. From there Miss Thelma has certainly been in great hands and shown the ropes and growing up as a young girl. She is living in a very busy household with lots of people coming and going and older children loving on her everyday. There are multiple dogs in the family and she gets along with the small ones as well as the larger ones. Thelma is housebroken, crate trained and does need a secured fence yard to play in. She loves a great outdoors and she would make a great running partner hiking companion and TV movie or football time snuggler on the sofa. She's a great and terrific little girl.  We think she's going to be someone superstar family pet if you just invite her home. Story
Juniper AKA known as Jack,  is a high energy, extremely smart and inquisitive Lab mix 14 week old puppy. He gets the zoomies a few times a day and adds in a few good climber experiences as he loves to explore. He’s too sweet natured to be considered mischievous, but he does find a way to be where you don’t want him to be as most puppies do. Currently, no shoes, phone, or remote controls are safe from him. I’m sure he’ll grow out of that stage and truly just needs to be redirected to chew on something else. Our handsome boy was the runt of his litter, but no one told him he was different. He is confident, independent, and doesn’t let other dogs push him around. He currently lives with a 15yo dog and she is teaching him to respect boundaries. He is a cuddle bug that loves to snuggle. He loves toys and has learned to play a bit of fetch. He previously lived in a farm where he was exposed to large dogs, cats, bunnies and other animals and had no issues.  This boy is tackling the typical house breaking rules and timing. He is doing very well. He is crate trained and is not a frequent or disturbing noisy barker. He embraces life and meets new experiences with much enthusiasm and bright-eyed excitement. If you want some get up and go in your life and a reason to smile and a reason to go for a long walk and a reason to play ball and just a reason to be happier, adopt Juniper. We feel he will be a 35 to 40 lb adult dog when fully grown. He is ready for the next forever step in his life. Maybe that will be you. Story
When you look at pretty little puppy, Zinnia, you see a little Hound, Lab mix girl that is mostly all white and has the cutest little black eyes mask that makes her look like a Super Hero Girl.  To us, this little 4 month old Super Hero puppy is just the most easy going, calm and collected  girl around.  She really takes life and new experiences all in stride and is fearful of NOTHING.  Zinnia is a loving puppy and weighs 18 pounds at 4 months and destined to be a 50 pound adult.  This girl is a dynamo when it comes to playing fetch and does awesome on leash walks.  She is a natural for her to become your morning and evening walker, hiker or eventually after she turns a year, perhaps your jogging partner.  She could just lean up against you and be your best snuggle buddy and your foot warmer in the winter.  On the bed or the couch, she is ready to be there by your side and make you feel like you have the best companion dog ever.   Zinnia likes to be around other dogs and people as much as possible! She is easy going when meeting new dogs and that is PLUS for you when you take her out and about.  She has no shyness issues whatsoever.  She is about 98% potty trained and that is amazing at her age. She is completely crate trained and will let out a few whines if she needs to go potty during the night.  This puppy girl is EASY PEASY and will make the best all-around dog for a family that has young children or no children or just empty nesters.  You cannot lose when you “choose” Zinnie, the prettiest little puppy inside and out.   Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  She is spayed and UTD on all shots and fecals and wormings and microchipped.   The complete package for adoption PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 12, 2024, 7:53 pm

Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comAugust 20, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. If you are looking for an amazing but special dog who needs a little bit of a calmer lifestyle, I am your man!!!! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info! Story
Sansa, Jasmine, Maple, Ava, and Hobbs are all Great Pyrenees/Retriever mix puppies born on May 9th. These huggable, lovable teddy bears are ready for their homes! 4 have found their forever homes, and 5 are remaining. There are 4 females and 1 male left in the litter. As of 9/24, these puppies weighed between 25-27 lbs each, and just are hitting their growth spurt 😊 Here is what the foster wrote about each of them as of 9/24- Hobbs – He is an old soul in a puppy’s body. Hobbs is the smallest of the litter and a very sweet boy that can be somewhat sensitive in nature, although remaining very loving and affectionate. Probably from getting picked on by his bigger brothers and sisters, but I’m sure with time on his own he will flourish. He is a laid-back boy that mostly enjoys lounging around, taking long naps, and keeping to himself. He is a quiet, happy, smiley boy that prefers to stay out of trouble. His love language is gift giving (treats) and quality time. He is a happy guy anywhere, indoors or outdoors. He has a new love for water and getting dirty, when he used to be very dainty and clean haha. Maple - Maple is a sweet girl that respects her boundaries and chooses not to escape. She would be great for someone wanting to teach a dog off leash and recall, as she does not stray far from you at any given time. She prefers to stay dry and clean although she will go in water on her own terms. Maple enjoys playing with kids and other dogs and expresses interest in treats (zukes) and running after the ball. Maple is a very happy-go-lucky gal that is seeking companionship. Maple also expresses interest in moving reflections on the ground, she has the potential to be a red dot chaser (laser pointer light). Maples love language is gift giving and quality time. Ava - Ava has the softest prettiest white coat of all the pups. Her ears are like little radars, and she will alarm you of anything going on out of the ordinary. She also enjoys talking back to you from time to time, but not nearly as often as her sister. When she’s not on high alert, Ava enjoys lounging around and napping. She is very laid back most of the time. She is your shadow and loves to be next to you. She LOVES to be petted and get belly rubs. Ava likes to go for walks and explore new things, she’s a very curious girl. Her love languages are gift giving (treats) and quality time. Jasmine – Description: PERFECT. Knows sit and shake. Very smart. Jasmine has a love for the outdoors and wide-open spaces. After a long walk, Jasmine enjoys sitting in the swimming pool, although not fully submerged, just enough to cool off her backside. She likes to use her front paws to give hugs and to shake. She is a sweet girl who is full of love and kisses. Sometimes you will find Jasmine just sitting back, relaxing and people watching in the shade. She enjoys a good belly rub and will roll over on her back so that you know exactly what she needs. Loves her attention and will lean on her siblings to push them down to get more loving from the humans. She’s a hoot. The mom is a beautiful white retriever mix, and the dad is a Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix on the smaller side. We do have pictures of the parents and mom will be getting fixed and staying with the original finder. We estimate full grown these puppies will be around 55-70 lbs. These puppies have got it all going on. They were born in foster care and have been exposed to other dogs, all ages of children and adults since they were born and are the friendliest, most loving puppies you’ll meet. They LOVE water. Give them a pool, take them to the river/lake/ocean or any body of water and they’ll go crazy. Their thicker coats make them wonderful candidates to live up north during the winter and enjoy the beautiful summers. We have a fun video of them playing in their pool! They all love children! They would make wonderful family dogs. Their tails don’t stop wagging when they see people and they are always up for a good time, whether it’s playing outside, going on walks, or just learning new things. The current foster has 2 children - 3 and 5 years old and they do fantastic with them. They are house trained. 5 puppies are a lot to have, but these babies are already learning quickly. Very smart. They follow the fosters dogs outside and when given one on one time, they will master whatever you teach them. They love to cuddle and give kisses. You’ll get kisses galore with them! They are all very quirky, amazing puppies that are all around happy go lucky and just love to cuddle, run around, play and get lots of love. These babies will make FANTASTIC family dogs and very loyal companions. ________________________________________________________________________________ If you would like to adopt this doggy/puppy, please complete an application on our website: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, current on preventions, dewormed and microchipped. A certificate of health is issued from a vet prior to transport. We are a small rescue in Texas where we do our best to prevent euthanasia in shelters and help stray and neglected animals find forever homes. Adoption fees are our only source of funding for the rescue. Unless otherwise specified at the top of the profile for this animal, this animal is considered to be located in foster care in Texas and available for transport once adopted.

Story
Friends is back! Most of the cast anyway 😊 Rachel, Monica, Ross and Chandler are ready to love their way into your lives. These sweet babies are lab mixes who were found on the street by a local animal control, dodging out of traffic and on the verge of getting run over. The shelter was full, so they contacted us to help. We knew we could not leave the babies out there, so we got them to safety in a foster home Our friends crew consist of 2 males and 2 females that we estimate were born around June 24th and are some of the gentlest, butt wiggling puppies. They are so excited when they’re around people. They just love everybody they meet, including children. They could run around the yard and play for as long as you’d let them, as long as they’re around their people. They love to be your shadow and get lots of pets. They’ll roll on their bellies in excitement, hoping you’ll rub their bellies. As of 9/24 they weigh between 10-15 lbs. While we do not know who their parents are, we believe they’ll be around 45-50 lbs once full grown. Their paws are not very big. They are working on house training They LOVE other dogs and have met inside and outside kitties and have no issues with them. Rachel is the runt of the litter, she is a little bottle rocket, always on the go and so full of energy and zoomies. She is one of the most outgoing of the litter. She LOVES her treats and is very food motivated. She is not picky at all about what she gets, as long as it’s food and love. Once she’s done playing, she will be the first to cuddle up to you, very sweet. Rachel would be best in a more active home. Monica is the 2nd smallest of the litter, and she is much quieter and gentler than Rachel is. She likes to sit back and watch the rest of the litter cause chaos. She is curious but when she tries something out, she makes sure her siblings tried it first, so she knows it’s safe and she won’t get in trouble for it. Very smart. Would do best in a medium active to less active home as she prefers to Netflix and chill more than anything else. Chandler is the 3rd smallest of the litter and the smallest male. He is very similar in personality to Monica – he is calmer and gentler than Ross and Rachel. He has the saddest eyes when he looks up at you, almost worried he’s done something wrong. Chandler likes to explore but he is more cautious about it and lets Ross go first. Another dog in the home would benefit Chandler as he can gain confidence from another doggy. A medium to low key home would be best for this sweet boy. Ross is the largest of the litter, and he is also the only black and tan one of the litter. He is next in line for most outgoing, right behind Rachel. Ross is VERY sweet and rambunctious and loves to play. He is super-duper friendly and will give sweet kisses for days. He is the bravest of the 4 and will try anything first, he has no shame in his game. He loves to explore and go on adventures. Ross would do best in a more active home. You can apply to adopt one of these sweet babies at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org

Story
Meet Paul Newman! This little heartthrob is as sweet as he is adorable. Paul Newman is ready for the good life; a loving home with a family to call his own. Can you believe someone dumped this little fellow, along with his two brothers way out in the country, thrown out like trash. Luckily, the brothers found their way to the home of a Good Samaritan who reached out to us asking if we rescue the pus...of course we said YES. Paul Newman is ready for his FOREVER HOME. Is that you? If you are interested, please contact us by email at cox_ann@bellsouth.net

Story
My name is Milo Magoo and I am a 3 year old Golden Doodle with a birthday that is coming in the next few days… to turn 3 yrs. old.  I weigh 80 pounds and I am looking for an attentive and dog training family that will really shape and polish me to be the spectacular dog that I have the potential to be.  My current family really has no time to work with me to shape me in to a dog with great manners and emotional control.   I am bored in this home and I need physical and mental stimulation and fun challenges to do.  I am very happy, sweet, and very active with running and playing.  I am a male that is ALL BOY and if I had my wish I would say to adopt me if you have a girl dog in the family.   I would love to have a girlfriend for life!  When I am bored my favorite, yet dangerous, thing to do is eat socks.  So please watch that if you take me home.  It is totally out of boredom.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is tryng to change all this by placing me in the right home that they will review closely.   I am a silver tawny coloring and people just ohhhhh and ahhhhh over the color of my coat of  hair.  If you would like to adopt me please email right away at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Mention in the email where you live!!!   That helps so much too.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 12, 2024, 7:53 pm
