Jack Spratt is 6 years old Loverboy thst makes friends everywherehe goes.  He is such a combination of great breeds and his DNA profile is probably everything but the kitchen sink. For now let's say Lab/ Boxer mix with sprinkles of lots of other puppy dog tail wags.  At 6 years, he is a 64 pound, handsome dude that is strong. so easy going and a happy go lucky boy. His only manners need is to not pull on a leash.  He is potty trained, neutered and UTD on shots. He loves all people and playing ball is his favorite. Good with other dogs but no cats. Jack enjoys romping in a fenced yard and he likes the car rides.  He loves everyone and everyone who meets him falls fast and hard in love with him.  He never stops smiling or wagging his tail.  He is a favorite at at the vets office too.  We call him our gentle giant love muffin !  His human is undergoing serious medical issues and reluctantly must rehome this sweet boy she loves so much. Its heartbreaking for her.  Whoever adopts him is getting a lifelong, loyal and loving friend.  There is no better dog. Story
Meet Zuri! Our beautiful little girl that is mixed with all sorts of gorgeous dog elements that include most probably Border Collie/Husky mix.  This crystal blue eyed girl has waited a long time to have her chance to be offered for adoption.  You see she was part of a cruelty case back in October and was severely malnourished and was pregnant with babies.  All her pretty babies have been adopted but poor Zuri was left behind.  She was taken from the small TN shelter last month to decompress and learn some home/family life.  She is ready now for a wonderful new family to call her own .  This girl is a mature and settled 3-4 years old, spayed, UTD on vaccinations, HW- and ready for the good life with a family that will love and cherish her forever. Her beautiful blue eyes and open personality will make you love her instantly.  This girl loves to run and play in the yard with other dogs and absolutely loves the water! She does good as your passenger in the car for pup cup runs and would do good in a home with older, dog savvy children that are 10 years and above. She is still learning not to pull on her leash and is doing very good at her sit command. Zuri just wants her chance to prove that she’s a great family member and cuddle up with you at night!  If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained, pretty girl that deserves the best life from her on out…please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 11, 2024, 12:11 pm

Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comMay 10, 2024, 11:47 am

Story
Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. If you are looking for an amazing but special dog who needs a little bit of a calmer lifestyle, I am your man!!!! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info! Story
Newest update: November 2022 Becky is 8 yrs old but don’t tell her she’s looking for a retirement home because then she will tire out playing ball. her playing ball if you let her. We don’t think she has slowed down much at all, she is no couch potato! She is a beautiful 61-lb lab mix with a shiny coat and a desire for routine (and a ball!) Becky doesn’t love being crated but once she settles in we think she wouldn’t need one if she can be in a doggy proof area when you are not home. Becky is not kitty-friendly and she would prefer to live without other dogs because she likes her possessions and people to be just hers ; 0 ) If she’s out on a walk, she tolerates dogs just fine but doesn’t want to play with them. This girl can’t catch a break. She has been in and out of the rescue for far too long because of her dislike of chaos and kitties. Small children would not be a good match for Becky and frequent visitors or busy schedules are hard for her to adjust to. We think her ideal home has a fenced yard with one or two humans that don’t mind indulging her love for balls. Becky is staying with our friends at Kompletely K9 Dog Training and Rehabilitation and a new family would need to continue the training that has been set up for her so that she can be the fun and awesome girl that we know she is! Here's a short video of pretty girl Becky: https://youtu.be/Bq6Vstv9CmU Interested in adopting Becky or any of our other sweeties? Check out our adoption application. Please note: we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England.

Story
Newest update: March 2024 Fiona is a sweet sweet girl who prefers life as an "only child". She is learning all kinds of good skills with our friends at Kompletely K9 Dog Training and Rehabilitation and she's ready now to find love once again. Fiona would love to get all the snuggles and have all the outdoor adventures that a sweet girl like her deserves. She is 7 years old and her DNA test was super crazy – black lab, american staffordshire terrier, greyhound, boston terrier and some other small percentages of mixed breeds. She is only 42 lbs so a perfect medium size. Fiona walks well on a leash with the right tools and will be a wonderful addition to the right family - one who has good leadership and is willing to have just one dog. A neighborhood crowded with dogs or an apartment setting would not be the best spot for Fiona, but if you want an alarm barker for your window station, Fiona is your girl! Fiona likes her crate and goes there easily with one command. She has some great obedience skills, and some of her favorite things are running around the fenced yard, curling up on the couch near (or on top of) her person, and showing off her smarts! She has a collection of sweaters because she does not love the rain and cold. Fiona never has accidents inside and will happily accompany you outside. If a new person comes in, she can be wary at first but then will check them out and eventually give kisses. She has never had aggression with humans, but has had limited access to children and we would not place her with young, fast-moving kiddos. She hasn’t met a cat but we think she has enough prey drive that she would not appreciate a feline buddy, or they would not appreciate her ; 0 ) Fiona enjoys going in the car but does better crated in the car. With good management she can tolerate being around other dogs but doesn't always appreciate sharing resources. Fiona had to come back into the rescue due to her family's changing health circumstances, and we know this sweet princess has so much love to give! If you are thinking of adding a wonderful pup to your life, please contact us about Fiona. If you have interest in meeting this pretty girl Fiona or any of our cuties, fill out the adoption application. Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed. They are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved. Thank you for considering rescue!

Story
My name is Milo Magoo and I am a 3 year old Golden Doodle with a birthday that is coming in the next few days… to turn 3 yrs. old.  I weigh 80 pounds and I am looking for an attentive and dog training family that will really shape and polish me to be the spectacular dog that I have the potential to be.  My current family really has no time to work with me to shape me in to a dog with great manners and emotional control.   I am bored in this home and I need physical and mental stimulation and fun challenges to do.  I am very happy, sweet, and very active with running and playing.  I am a male that is ALL BOY and if I had my wish I would say to adopt me if you have a girl dog in the family.   I would love to have a girlfriend for life!  When I am bored my favorite, yet dangerous, thing to do is eat socks.  So please watch that if you take me home.  It is totally out of boredom.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is tryng to change all this by placing me in the right home that they will review closely.   I am a silver tawny coloring and people just ohhhhh and ahhhhh over the color of my coat of  hair.  If you would like to adopt me please email right away at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Mention in the email where you live!!!   That helps so much too.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 11, 2024, 12:11 pm

Story
Likeable Levi – this happy guy is always smiling, happy to greet you when you enter the door, and will lavish you with kisses.  Levi is a 4 year old Goldendoodle boy, he is 52 lbs, neutered, UTD on all vaccinations, HW negative, and microchipped.   Levi loves to gallop in his foster mom’s backyard and he enjoys playing fetch.  Oh, this boy is super smart and  housetrained, he is great in the house.  Levi is an excellent car rider – it’s natural for him to just jump in the back seat and is ready for the next adventure.  He loves to look out the back window or just lays down. Levi is your velcro dog – such a faithful friend.   He attaches himself easily to his human and wants you all to himself.  Levi could easily be a lapdog, as he enjoys watching the evening news with his foster mom, and will lay at your feet while his foster mom works at her computer – without moving an inch.  He loves to talk to you – as his bark is almost like a soprano singing and it means he is very happy to have you around.   He gets along well with his foster siblings, and even the resident cat.  You can easily walk Levi and he is fine strutting around the neighborhood and will not bother approaching dogs or humans. You are in for a real treat.  Levi will be your best friend.  This boy is fully grown and ready for the best final chapter of his life.  Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 11, 2024, 12:11 pm
