Story
Meet Zuri! Our beautiful 4 year old  girl that is mixed with all sorts of gorgeous dog elements that include Husky mix  (55%) and a touch of Lab and Pit mix.  This crystal blue eyed girl has waited a long time to have her chance to be offered for adoption.  You see she was part of a cruelty case back in the past and was severely malnourished and was pregnant with babies.  All her pretty babies have been adopted but poor Zuri is still looking for the right and confident owner.  She is in foster care and is totally crate trained and housebroken. She is ready now for a wonderful new family to call her own .  This girl is a mature and settled 4years old, 58 pound spayed, UTD on vaccinations, HW- and ready for the good life with a family that will love and cherish her forever. Her beautiful blue eyes and open personality will make you love her instantly.  This girl loves to run and play in the yard and absolutely loves the water! She does good as your passenger in the car for pup cup runs and would do good in a home with older, dog savvy children that are 8 years and above. She has good leash manners and doing well with housebreaking.  Zuri just wants her chance to prove that she’s a great family member and cuddle up with you at night!  If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained, pretty girl that deserves the best life from her on out…please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 19, 2025, 1:48 pm

Meet Isaac – A Loyal, Lovable Lab Mix Looking for His Forever Adventure!   If you're looking for a best friend with a heart of gold, a playful spirit, and soulful eyes that say 'I’m ready to love you forever', then say hello to Isaac – the sweet and handsome black Lab mix who’s ready to start the next chapter of his life with YOU.   Isaac’s story began in a small-town litter of five puppies, where resources were few and adoption opportunities even fewer. Lucky for him, a kind senior gentleman saw something special in young Isaac and brought him home. But as Isaac grew into his playful, energetic self, it became clear that raising a rambunctious puppy wasn’t the right fit. With love and honesty, his adopter returned him—still believing Isaac deserved the best life possible.   Now 7 months old and 40 pounds of happy energy, Isaac has been given a fresh start through a dedicated rescue network—and he’s thriving! He’s already neutered, fully vetted, and well on his way to being housebroken (no more tiny puppy chaos!). Best of all, he’s past the intense chewing phase and settling into his more mature, eager-to-please self.   Friendly, affectionate, and people-focused Great older puppy energy—playful but manageable Would thrive with a fenced yard or active lifestyle‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Loves to run, play, and stay active with his people Smart, alert, and ready to learn House training head start - doing great! Fully vetted, neutered, and healthy   Isaac greets everyone with a tail wag and a joyful presence. His kind face is full of hope, his spirit is loyal and loving, and his mission is simple: find a forever family who will treasure him just as much as he treasures them.   Whether you’re an active single looking for a trail buddy or a family searching for a loving companion to grow up alongside your kids, Isaac is ready to give you his heart—and maybe a few goofy zoomies, too.    To adopt this wonderful boy, email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and give Isaac the home he’s been waiting for.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 5, 2025, 1:19 pm

Story
Meet Puppy Coco!!  She is as sweet as Hershey's chocolate and as nutty as a Mounds bar!!!  If you're looking for a wonderful 5-month-old puppy to join your family, then you've found her!  Coco will not let you down.  She is full of energy and loves to play.  Coco has two speeds: all out and running around, or neutral, asleep, refueling to go again.  She gets along great with other dogs, and she loves people.  Coco would be a great family dog, but might be too much for toddlers.  She is working on DOWN, but does still jump on you.  We would not want anyone to get knocked over!  However, if that did happen, lots of kisses would let you know that Coco was sorry.  She is just 100% puppy.  Coco needs an active family.  A family that will teach her to walk like a lady, take her on hikes, or even run.    She would be in heaven with all this activity.  Coco would be an excellent companion for another active puppy or young dog.  She currently has playmates but could probably adjust to life as an only dog.  Humans are good playmates, too!  Coco is ready to find her forever family.  We hope it will be with you.  Coco is spayed, current on all shots, on monthly preventative and microchipped.  To be considered for Coco's forever family and to request an application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Coco is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)July 9, 2025, 8:05 pm

Story
Allow me to introduce myself… My name is Lovely Loretta, and yes—I really live up to my name. I’m an elegant, affectionate 7–8-month-old girl with the softest golden coat and a heart that just bursts with love. My mom is a Great Pyrenees mix and my dad is a Hound/Lab mix, yet somehow I came out looking like a sunny Yellow Lab. Life works in funny, wonderful ways! I’m about 48 pounds right now—your classic adorable “teenage pup”—and I’ll likely grow into a graceful 60-ish pound adult. For now, I’m all gentle wiggles, soft eyes, and the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. I adore people. I adore dogs. And I’m even respectful around cats. I just love life—every moment, every friend, every chance to be close to someone who cares. I walk beautifully on a leash, I play kindly with dogs and humans, and I truly want nothing more than to be someone’s loyal girl. I’m still healing from having my dewclaws removed, but that hasn’t changed my happy, grateful spirit one bit. I came from a very rural area of Tennessee, part of an unexpected litter from a mama who was never given the chance to be spayed. Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in to make sure my story didn’t end where it started—and now I’m dreaming big. I’m dreaming of a home filled with kindness, laughter, and people I can grow up loving with my whole heart. If you choose me, I promise to be everything my name says I am: Lovely, loyal, and full of joy. Your Lovely Loretta—forever proud to be your girl. If you'd like to meet me, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and share your city and state.Let’s start our holiday season with a brand-new beginning! Story
Meet Riggs – The Energetic, Loyal, Gorgeous Chocolate Retriever mix boy!  Riggs is a Chocolate Retriever mix that is barely a year old, just under 50 lbs, and ready to find his forever family. He didn’t have the best start since he was originally dumped at the Agriculture School in Nashville, TN and left to run scared through traffic on a hot day. Thankfully, a kind foster mom earned his trust, and now Riggs is thriving in foster care and looking for the home he truly deserves &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143.   This boy is full of energy and a twinkle in his eye when he tries to find a good rumble play partner in the backyard.   This boy is a handsome male that is begging to be taught all the good manners in life.  Some boundaries created and training sessions that will polish him into the smart and enviable companion that he has the potential to be. Riggs will be a fun project to take under wing.  He already has the important skills of walking well on a leash and being able to get along at a dog park.  Here are the stats on Riggs and all the good things about him.   &#226&#156&#168 About Riggs: Young, ~1 year old, ~50 lbs Chocolate Retriever mix with a shiny coat + toffee-colored eyes and a feathery tail Sweet, affectionate, and full of enthusiasm Best for a family with older kids (he’s loving but sometimes a little too bouncy) Thrives with lots of exercise — daily walks, hikes, dog park trips, or an active playmate Would love another high-energy dog in the home, but he’s also perfect for an outdoorsy person who wants a loyal sidekick A total water dog — creeks, showers, and even water bowls are his jam Great on leash, house-trained, learning crate manners, and knows “sit” Can be a chatty guard dog — he’ll tell you about his day, announce visitors, and let you know when packages arrive His deep bark might sound intimidating, but behind it is a goofy, loyal companion Riggs is past the destructive puppy stage but still learning manners—he jumps when excited and has plenty of young-dog energy. Once he’s had his exercise, though, he’s a calm, sweet couch buddy who loves nothing more than Netflix snuggles. Fostered near Nashville, TN but transport to the Northeast is available every weekend.   To Apply: Text us at 615-661-5333 Email ccrtennessee@gmail.com or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED Please share to help Riggs find his active forever family! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption. Story
Nellie’s story is one that stays with you. She is a six-year-old black Labrador mix, slender and soft, with a heart that has survived more loss than any dog should ever face. Three years ago, her world began to dim as her eyesight faded. And earlier this year, the one person she trusted completely—the one constant she had—passed away. Since then, Nellie has been trying her best to understand a world she can no longer see and no longer recognizes.   Yet through all of it, she remains a dog who still reaches for love.   In her foster home in Middle Tennessee, Nellie has learned to navigate the darkness with quiet bravery. She memorizes the corners of a room, finds her way to sunny spots on the floor, and follows the sound of her foster’s voice with a soft wag of her tail. When she senses you nearby, she leans her head gently against you—not pushing, not demanding, just hoping for connection. A hand resting on her back, a soft word spoken close to her ear… these moments are everything to her.   Nellie needs a home where the world finally slows down for her. A calm place with someone who understands that love doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. She cannot share her space with other dogs or cats; the unpredictability is simply too overwhelming for a girl who now relies on sound and scent to feel safe. But with her humans, she is tender, polite, and grateful. She is perfectly house trained, never destructive, and content just to be nearby—quietly existing alongside the person who becomes her world.   Her foster can only keep her through December, and beyond that lies uncertainty. Nellie has already lost so much; the thought of her losing her safe place again is heartbreaking. She deserves someone who sees her not as a dog with limitations, but as a loyal soul waiting for her chance to belong again.   If you are someone who believes that love is an act of healing…If you have space in your heart for a dog who will depend on your kindness…If you feel called to give a very special girl the miracle she needs…   Then Nellie is waiting for you.   To give her the peaceful, loving home she longs for, please email:ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 20, 2025, 3:34 pm
