Story
Jasper is a lab/hound mix. He will be 2 years old in May. He has been with our family for just over a year. He is crate and house trained. He is a sweet, playful dog that loves to go on walks. He responds well to a male presence. He should be in a home without children. We have 5 children and it is too chaotic for him. He does well with cats, we have 3 and have had no issues. We are not asking for an adoption fee, we just want to make sure he goes to a loving home where he will be well taken care of.

Story
Loki is a 1.5year old purebred yellow lab with a lot of love and energy. Unfortunately, when my husband and I got Loki from a neglect situation, I did not know I was pregnant! With that came a lot and I did go back to work therefore, we feel it is not fair for lo to be crated during the day as much as he is right now! Lo is a very loyal boy and loves to play ball! He has the best most handsome face and while we are very sad to see lo go we know he deserves more time!

Supporters and Recurring Giving Donors will be put on our VIP Application List &#226&#128&#139 Adoption Costs and other important information. If you are interested in adopting from Sterling Animal Shelter, please submit an application through our "Pets for Adoption" page.  We are still closed to the public, and all adoptions will be scheduled by appointment only. Our appointments are scheduled by matching our applications to our available pets. If your application is chosen, our staff will contact you to set an appointment for a meet and greet to spend some time with the animal one-on-one. We do still have same day adoptions, and if your meet and is successful, you can take your pet home at the time of your appointment.  To find the best match for each pet, we prefer to have the entire family present when doing an adoption. If you have a dog at home already, please be prepared to bring your resident dog to meet a potential new dog, to ensure all parties get along. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet. Adoption Costs and other important information. Supporters and Recurring Giving Donors will be put on our VIP Application List &#226&#128&#139 April 25, 2024, 12:12 pm

Charlotte

Labrador Retriever

Female, Young
Worcester, MA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Charlotte is a wonderfully playful young girl. She is enthusiastic and enjoys meeting other dogs. Charlotte easily makes friends with the people she meets. She is looking for someone that can teach her to play fetch. Charlotte loves toys and loves to play, but if you don't have a toy she will play with your hands. We try not to encourage that here at the shelter. Charlotte is a fast learner and since all she wants is for you to play with her, she catches on quickly putting the toy in her mouth rather than your hands. If you are viewing this dog's profile on Adopt-a-Pet and are interested in adopting, please head to our official website at www.worcesterarl.org to fill out a Dog Adoption Inquiry Form, which will be located under the dog's profile.
