I need a support dog, not a service dog. But this great dog needs more than my health is able to provide. I take him out 2-3 times a day, but not on walks; just outback to the a small wooded area in back of the apartment complex. He needs attention to feel loved. I believe he was a bigger dog than I should have adopted, and he's also bigger than a small apartment can really be a good home for him. He wants to go on walks which are difficult for me. He'd be very happy to have children to play with. So, the problem with him, seems to be me.

Carter is a handsome 3-5 year old male black lab/pit, 50 pounds. We recently fostered him from a St. Louis shelter for 2 months after he was there about 6 months, have now adopted him to try to re-home him ourselves to get him out of there. He is friendly toward all humans including kids. Loves to snuggle! Gets along well with other dogs when they are at our home and/or are introduced slowly outside the home. He loves our 2 dogs. Needs to be leashed when on walks. Does not do well with aggressive dogs when on walks! Needs a sturdy fence. Has slight sporadic limp to his rear left leg and we give him an anti-inflammatory/pain med as needed. He is great on car rides! Sleeps well, loves couches/beds! He is house trained. Very food motivated! We LOVE him but have our hands full with our other dogs as well as several grand-dogs we watch regularly. Please open your heart and home to this wonderful boy!!

She would love a fenced yard but is comfortable on a lead. I adopted Sammy in 2011 and she’s up to date on all shots having had annual Veterinary checkups.

We are very sad to have to do this but we are looking for a good home for our dog, Ritz. She is a two year old lab mix who was a stray and can be shy/nervous (mostly indoors). She does not like our kids (5 and 7) because they are loud and unpredictable. She has never been aggressive, she just won’t leave our bedroom if the kids are home. She is very smart, eager to please and loves to snuggle (adults). She has medium energy and LOVES. a good butt scratch. She would love a home with a large yard to run and either no kids or older kids. She is about 55lbs, up to date on shots and takes medicine for anxiety twice a day. She is so smart, so sweet and deserves so much more than we are able to give her. She will come with a bed, toys, leashes and about 6 months of flea/tic and Heart guard. We are also happy to supply a bag of dog food. We love her and just want her to find a good home.

Bear has been in our household since he was 2 months old. He came from a puppy mill and was adopted at PetSmart. He is now almost 4 and has overcome some behavioral issues (eating poop). He still has other issues like separation anxiety, barking at other dogs and pulling, barking at strangers (particularly when the doorbell rings). Otherwise he is good at home, calm and is obedient. He has been good with our daughter ever since she was born; he is not overly playful but doesn’t mind kids playing with him. He is also okay with our other adult dog; he’s energetic, so a dog he can run with would be best. He does engage in humping behaviors with my dog which has caused my older dog to engage with him less than before. The only other thing is he has motion sickness, so he will need meds if in a car, because he always vomits. Bear loves to snuggle and loves pets. He knows how to sit, lay down, and can shake your hand.
