Story
Ollie is a super sweet boy! He loves snuggles and will be a lazy, couch dog but is also always up for an adventure and loves going for walks and running around outside. We are so sad to need to rehome him but have found ourselves needing to live in a small apartment with our 2 kids and other dog, and he just isn’t even happy here. We don’t have a yard for him to run around in and don’t always have the time to take him for as long of walks as he needs. He has been incredibly patient and gentle with our little kids and babies. Full disclosure on a couple things: - he only has one eye. It was removed when he was 1 due to infection (2 days before I adopted him) He doesn’t let it slow him down a bit though! - He does shed quite a bit and gets itchy skin sometimes. - he has had a couple instances of showing some aggression towards other dogs. It’s been over food a couple times and another time when a dog ran up on him at the dog park. He may do best as the only dog.

Story
I LIKE BIG MUTTS AND I CANNOT LIE! What up? The name is Skip, but I spell it $kip. I’m a 2 yr old, 80 lb, housebroken, crate trained, good-lookin’ mutt. Not 1 application has been turned in for me in 7 months though. Ain’t that a bunch of bull! I guess maybe it’s because I don’t like to kick it with other animals too much, but come on, I deserve a forever family too! I don’t need dog parks and play dates, but I’d love a running partner or a fenced in yard…And I don’t mean running from the cops or a fenced in prison yard. I want to sniff all the smells, snuggle with my people, chew all the bones and toys, go for car rides in the Benz, and be a loyal homeboy. I first came to this bada$$ rescue when they saved me and other animals from a hoarding/neglect case in a small Nebraska town. I had lived my whole life outside on a tight chain hooked to a tree…Unfortunately I’m not talking about a gold chain. The chain was basically embedded in my neck and required special equipment to remove. I had several canine siblings at that house who have since all been adopted, but now I’m requesting no more furry siblings for me. I love humans though and I dream about going on adventures with my own someday. I’m a strong guy, so your 92 year old Granny and your newborn baby are probably not great matches for my forever home. No disrespect.  I’ve been neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, and I’m ready for my happy-ever-after! I would love to share my joy for life with you! My adoption donation fee is $250. Please fill out an application in the drop down menu on our website at: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! October 10, 2024, 3:34 am

Story
Little Freddy is way too cute to handle! He is an lab/shepherd mix weighing around 15 pounds and is an outgoing boy who is also extremely sweet and cuddly with people and dogs. He gets along great and lives with different sized dogs from small to large. For the ultimate cuteness, watch when he's really excited and ready to play and he bunny hops along chasing his dog friends. Baby Freddy mostly remembers to go on his potty pads but potty training is a work in progress since he is so young yet. He does settle well in a crate when he can see another dog or person but still needs a little comforting at first. You too can have maximum adorableness in your life by applying today at www.havenanimalrescuenebraska.org ADOPTION DONATION FEE: $400 includes neuter when old enough, microchip and vaccinations up to date.   PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility.
