Story
Meet Wednesday  Wednesday is a young black Labrador Retriever who is just beginning to discover how wonderful the world can be. She came from a hoarding situation, so everything is still very new to her. Because of that, Wednesday is a bit shy at first and will need a patient, understanding home that will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe.  We believe she will do best in a family with children that are 10 years old and older. Once Wednesday starts to trust, her gentle and sweet nature really comes through. She’s a kind soul who wants to be loved, she just needs a little reassurance and consistency to help her build confidence. Wednesday will do best with adopters who understand that progress may be slow at first, but incredibly rewarding. With a calm environment, routine, and lots of kindness, Wednesday has all the potential to blossom into a loving and loyal companion. Watching her learn to feel safe and loved will be one of the most special parts of bringing her into your home.  The adoption fee is $350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  We're open from 12-4 PM Tuesday through Saturday.  Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days.  Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day!  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.  ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them.  ##2642923##

Meet Hank! A high-energy, water-loving yellow Lab with a big heart and even bigger zoomies! Hank is all about playtime, splashing in the water, and showing off his strength and enthusiasm for life. He’s mouthy, jumpy, and full of puppy antics, but don’t let that fool you, this guy is also super smart and making awesome progress in his training. Hank is learning how to channel his excitement into good behavior, and with consistent guidance, he’s showing just how capable and eager to please he really is. He’ll thrive with an active family who can keep up with his energy, continue his training, and give him lots of chances to run, play, and of course...swim! If you're looking for a fun, loyal, and spirited companion, Hank’s your guy. He’s a wild child with a heart of gold and all the potential in the world. Story
Charlie is very energetic dog who loves people. He sometimes forgets how big he is and can be a little clumsy. He has had basic training and excels at sitting, staying, shake, and spins. Walks well with a no pull harness however fetch is not his choice of playtime. He’s done well with children around toddler age and above, we just think he needs more attention

Story
Blue is to high energy for an apartment, with his size and the exercise he requires, a house is necessary. He is very affectionate but also loves nothing more than playing in any capacity from tug of war to wrestling to running around the apartment, he has very high puppy energy. He has not been socialized much but the interactions hes had with children and other animals have been positive. He does bark when people approach the door and is very territorial about his food. He is up to date on everything, paperwork will be provided, micro chipped, and healthy. He is experiencing some skin allergies at the moment but with the food I feed him, the fish oil and the countless medicinal sprays I have for him (which will all be provided) it is very manageable. Kennel and house broken. Comes with kennel, dog bed, blankets, large bag of dog food, medicine, toys, pretty much everything you would need for the first two months. I just want him to find him a good home and for him to be happy.

Story
My son got this dog as a pup and raised her in his apartment. She is a very active dog, and still acts as energetic as a pup even though she is about 5 years old. She has always been with Ace, who we are also wishing to find a home for. We would prefer the 2 dogs to be rehomed together. She is kennel trained and will go into a kennel when told.

Story
In rescue we are always ready to take in the needy and homeless animals and work with them to transform them into the amazing pets that we know they can be!  But sometimes we come across one that amazes us as they quickly and gently adjust to a new life . Willow is that girl! She is the sweetest tempered, affectionate little soul that would love nothing more than consistent love, companionship and to be your shadow.  Although she was timid and confused in an outside hoarding case, it wasn't long before Willow decided she would prefer to lay beside her foster family for gentle belly rubs. This was her first step and now her tail never stops wagging!  Willow is a stunning yellow lab between 1.5 to 2 years old and weighs in at 60 pounds. She adores her people and is thriving daily happily giving affection and gives kisses! Willow also enjoys playing with dogs from 45 to 160 pounds and gets the most adorable case of the zoomies in the fenced in yard. A main characteristic of hers is that Willow wants to please and is very smart! She will watch what you want and follow your cues.  A calm home that has another well adjusted dog would be ideal so she can continue to gain confidence. This beauty also loves children and is learning how to play with toys and chew bones.  As a bonus she has had no accidents, can be left out and has never destroyed anything in the home (although we are crate training) and is learning how to walk confidently on a leash. She is a bit timid with new people but quickly warms up when she feels safe and loved. Willow brings a special kind of compassion and joyful disposition to all who meet her! If you are ready to add a gentle spirit to your life, please apply at www.HavenAnimalRescueNebraska.org ADOPTION DONATION: $425 *ALL DOGS MUST BE INSIDE COMPANION ANIMALS!
