Story
Meet Hank! A high-energy, water-loving yellow Lab with a big heart and even bigger zoomies! Hank is all about playtime, splashing in the water, and showing off his strength and enthusiasm for life. He’s mouthy, jumpy, and full of puppy antics, but don’t let that fool you, this guy is also super smart and making awesome progress in his training. Hank is learning how to channel his excitement into good behavior, and with consistent guidance, he’s showing just how capable and eager to please he really is. He’ll thrive with an active family who can keep up with his energy, continue his training, and give him lots of chances to run, play, and of course...swim! If you're looking for a fun, loyal, and spirited companion, Hank’s your guy. He’s a wild child with a heart of gold and all the potential in the world. The adoption fee is 350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day! If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.   ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission. ##2460599##

Story
Charlie is very energetic dog who loves people. He sometimes forgets how big he is and can be a little clumsy. He has had basic training and excels at sitting, staying, shake, and spins. Walks well with a no pull harness however fetch is not his choice of playtime. He’s done well with children around toddler age and above, we just think he needs more attention

Story
We got our dog from the NE Humane Society when he was a puppy. He has no behavior issues other than being a little anxious around certain smells (mainly the oven being on). Other than that he is good dog. No health issues either. We are looking to rehome him because we have three young kids and another on the way. We dont have enough time to give him the care and play he deserves. He loves walks and playing fetch and has really good manners (will drop the ball when asked).

Story
Chip is as stunning as they come! At 10 months old and 42 pounds, this handsome boy is the perfect mix of playful, curious, and sweet. Chip's story started out a little rough. He and his littermates were dumped on the front lawn of a shelter worker when they were just tiny puppies. They all ended up in the shelter's outdoor pen, where one by one, his brothers and sisters found homes or rescues over the last 8 months. Now it's FINALLY Chip's turn for his happy ever after! Chip has a gentle soul. He's both crate trained and housebroken now, and he's learning more about how to enjoy pet life every day. He can be a bit of a nervous nelly at first, especially around children, so he's looking for a calmer home while he finishes adjusting to the good life. Chip loves other dogs and enjoys having a buddy around, he likes going for walks, chewing on bones and toys, and cuddling once he knows you. He’s even good with cats! Chip is intelligent and active. He’s learning to trust humans more and more everyday. Chip would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands shy dogs and giving him time to open up. Once he does, you'll see just how special he truly is… a loyal, goofy, and loving companion who's been waiting so long for his person.  Chip is neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to meet you. His adoption donation is $375. Please apply directly on our website in the dropdown menu at https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! November 25, 2025, 7:07 pm

Story
Bruno is a 58 lb, 18-month-old Lab/Golden Retriever mix with a heart as big as his paws. Affectionate, social, and absolutely full of life, he greets everyone he meets with a gentle enthusiasm that’s impossible not to love. This handsome boy is great with other dogs and would be happiest with a canine playmate close to his size.  Someone who can keep up with his goofy zoomies and love of fetch. Bruno is potty trained with a consistent schedule.  He is also trained when his family is away from home and overnight.   While he is eager to learn, he still has that sweet puppy energy, so he’ll thrive with a family committed to keeping him active and continuing his training. He catches on quickly and truly wants to please. He isn’t even phased by cats!  Bruno previously lived with children and has a naturally gentle temperament. He does, however, believe that stuffed toys exist solely to be dismantled, but he’s learning that NylaBones and durable chews are just as fun (and last a whole lot longer!). He loves going for walks, though he’s still polishing his leash skills. He’s a very strong, fast boy, so an active family ready to help him practice good manners will be perfect for him. Because he’s happiest when running, exploring, and playing fetch, a fenced yard where he can safely burn off energy is a must.  Bruno also loves to “whine talk” to his people and voice his feelings when he doesn't want you to leave, so he’s not the best candidate for apartment living or shared-wall homes. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, playful companion who will bring joy (and maybe a few chewed-up toys) into your life, Bruno might just be your perfect match. He is neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, on preventatives, and ready to meet you! His adoption donation is $400.
