Story
Gideon is a 65# Catahoula/Lab mix who will be 6 in December. He is a very sweet and smart boy. He is due for his distemper, but is otherwise up to date on vetting and is neutered. Gideon has lived with small dogs most of his life and a big dog in his younger years. He loves water, sweaters, snow, and a nice nap snuggled up together. I have increasing mobility issues that make it unsafe for us to have a big dog anymore. We found a home for him 18months ago and he has come back due to an injury an adult in the home sustained at work. He is a delightful boy with great promise in sports! He will come with everything he could need. Including a crate, gear, toys, bowls, and sweaters. Gideon is very smart and eager to learn anything you want to teach him.

 Betty is a wonderful 4-year-old yellow lab.  She is spayed and current on her vaccinations.  Like most labs her age Betty is is an active happy silly playful girl.  Her current owner has some health issues that make the active lifestyle she needs hard.  Betty has lived with another lab.  She has never been around cats and would probably chase or want to play with them so let’s say no to cats to be safe.  Betty loves every person she meets with her happy wiggly butt but also will want to jump on them so a home with older kids would be better since she can clearly knock over small ones.  Beautiful Betty is housetrained and baby gated trained but has not been in a kennel for years.  She is not a hunting dog as she is gun and load noise shy.  Betty is a purebred lab about 60 lbs and all love.    To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $200 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. Charlie is very energetic dog who loves people. He sometimes forgets how big he is and can be a little clumsy. He has had basic training and excels at sitting, staying, shake, and spins. Walks well with a no pull harness however fetch is not his choice of playtime. He’s done well with children around toddler age and above, we just think he needs more attention

LL Drool J is a very friendly, and outgoing dog! He loves to give people hugs, and play with his stuffed toys or anything toy shaped. Here at the shelter he gets extra support from volunteers, and staff due to him sometimes being uncomfortable around new people. Give him a treat and you`re golden! LL would do best in an active home, he enjoys going for walks... and is a fan of the water.
