Story
***Courtesy Post***** Willow is a 6 yr old lab/pitbull mix.  She is full of energy, loves to go for walks, tag along on car rides, and is very intelligent.  She needs a home where she can be the center of attention and receive a lot of love. Willow favors women more than men when it comes to people and can get jealous of other pets. It would be best for her to be in a single dog home. Willow is a sweet girl.  She is spayed and current on vaccinations. She is house-trained and is trained to go in and out of the dog door. She will whine if she needs to go out if the dog door is closed or if she is in the kennel. Willow does know her basic commands like sit, stay, shake, dismissed and kennel up, but sometimes is stubborn and needs redirection. Willow can show signs of food aggression if bothered by strangers while eating. Willow cannot play at dog parks. Willow loves walks, but has grown up in the country side where we are secluded to have space to run around.  Willow can sometimes get anxious during storms and wants to be involved with the family when we are home. She likes playing fetch with sticks, playing in water like sprinklers and even secluded lakes. She does have an aerial shock collar and remote shock collar that she has been trained with to know the land boundaries and used for redirection when being stubborn. I have had Willow since she was 4 months old. She has been my absolute best friend. I have a 3 year old toddler that she gets along great with, but that’s because she is comfortable with him and has known him since day one. I will be gone for over 18 months for military training and uncertain of what my future orders will entail.   Adoption fee $100All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.October 4, 2024, 2:54 pm

Story
Charlie is very energetic dog who loves people. He sometimes forgets how big he is and can be a little clumsy. He has had basic training and excels at sitting, staying, shake, and spins. Walks well with a no pull harness however fetch is not his choice of playtime. He’s done well with children around toddler age and above, we just think he needs more attention

Story
Lucas is a really mix breed. I know he is a Labrador mixed with Pitbull and with two other mixes. He is really kind and loves attention. He is not aggressive with people but he doesnt do well with other dogs. He knows the basic commands, and is a good listener. He has been around kids but does not pay them attention unless they pet him. Lucas is also a very anxious dog and gets scared of loud noises. Lucas is also 5 years old and his birthday is December 9th 2018, he will turn 6 soon. He's not a really hyper dog, he loves to lay around, so if you play catch he’ll play for a few rounds then just watch you throw while laying down. I want Lucas to be in a home thatll have time for him and give him attention. He deserves to have so much love and care, it’s painful to have to give him away but my family and I can no longer care for him. Hes a sweet boy who has so much love to give and deserves to get as much love back and more. I want someone who will be loving and patient to Lucas.

Story
I LIKE BIG MUTTS AND I CANNOT LIE! What up? The name is Skip, but I spell it $kip. I’m a 2 yr old, 80 lb, housebroken, crate trained, good-lookin’ mutt. Not 1 application has been turned in for me in 7 months though. Ain’t that a bunch of bull! I guess maybe it’s because I don’t like to kick it with other animals too much, but come on, I deserve a forever family too! I don’t need dog parks and play dates, but I’d love a running partner or a fenced in yard…And I don’t mean running from the cops or a fenced in prison yard. I want to sniff all the smells, snuggle with my people, chew all the bones and toys, go for car rides in the Benz, and be a loyal homeboy. I first came to this bada$$ rescue when they saved me and other animals from a hoarding/neglect case in a small Nebraska town. I had lived my whole life outside on a tight chain hooked to a tree…Unfortunately I’m not talking about a gold chain. The chain was basically embedded in my neck and required special equipment to remove. I had several canine siblings at that house who have since all been adopted, but now I’m requesting no more furry siblings for me. I love humans though and I dream about going on adventures with my own someday. I’m a strong guy, so your 92 year old Granny and your newborn baby are probably not great matches for my forever home. No disrespect.  I’ve been neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, and I’m ready for my happy-ever-after! I would love to share my joy for life with you! My adoption donation fee is $250. Please fill out an application in the drop down menu on our website at: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! October 3, 2024, 2:28 pm

Story
Little Freddy is way too cute to handle! He is an lab/shepherd mix weighing around 15 pounds and is an outgoing boy who is also extremely sweet and cuddly with people and dogs. He gets along great and lives with different sized dogs from small to large. For the ultimate cuteness, watch when he's really excited and ready to play and he bunny hops along chasing his dog friends. Baby Freddy mostly remembers to go on his potty pads but potty training is a work in progress since he is so young yet. He does settle well in a crate when he can see another dog or person but still needs a little comforting at first. You too can have maximum adorableness in your life by applying today at www.havenanimalrescuenebraska.org ADOPTION DONATION FEE: $400 includes neuter when old enough, microchip and vaccinations up to date.   PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility.
