Meet Hank! A high-energy, water-loving yellow Lab with a big heart and even bigger zoomies! Hank is all about playtime, splashing in the water, and showing off his strength and enthusiasm for life. He’s mouthy, jumpy, and full of puppy antics, but don’t let that fool you, this guy is also super smart and making awesome progress in his training. Hank is learning how to channel his excitement into good behavior, and with consistent guidance, he’s showing just how capable and eager to please he really is. He’ll thrive with an active family who can keep up with his energy, continue his training, and give him lots of chances to run, play, and of course...swim! If you're looking for a fun, loyal, and spirited companion, Hank’s your guy. He’s a wild child with a heart of gold and all the potential in the world. Story
Charlie is very energetic dog who loves people. He sometimes forgets how big he is and can be a little clumsy. He has had basic training and excels at sitting, staying, shake, and spins. Walks well with a no pull harness however fetch is not his choice of playtime. He’s done well with children around toddler age and above, we just think he needs more attention

Story
Kahlua is my 7-year-old Lab mix, and I’ve had her since she was a puppy. She has been a deeply loved part of my life, which makes this decision very difficult. I’m rehoming her because I want her to have more time, consistency, and attention than I’m currently able to give. She is sweet, affectionate, and loyal. She loves getting pets, is playful and treat-motivated, and enjoys staying active. She also loves kids once she warms up and forms strong bonds. Kahlua does have some anxiety, especially with fireworks and thunderstorms, and can be a bit destructive when overwhelmed. She has shown resource guarding behaviors with other dogs, so she would do best as the only dog in the home for now. I’m hoping to find a calm, patient home where she can feel secure, loved, and truly thrive.

Story
Meet Asha! She’s a 63 lb, 1.5 year old Black Labrador Retriever. Asha came to us from a terrible hoarding and neglect case. She is very frightened and will take an extra special adopter. She’s good with all dogs. We will post more details as she decompresses. As of right now she is not leash trained, not housebroken, and is scared of humans. It’s heartbreaking. Asha has been spayed, fully vetted and vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, treated for Giardia and worms, and microchipped. More info will be coming.  PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! February 6, 2026, 2:42 am

Story
Drake is a handsome yellow lab around one year old in search of his forever family. He is looking for a special  family who will be very patient as he learns all the good things about being a pet. Drake came from a situation  where he lived outside with many other dogs in a hoarding situation. He did not receive vet care or any real socialization with  humans. Due to these conditions he is a shy boy and still adjusting to the big world outside of the fenced area  in his previous life.   Drake is very sweet and gentle, and slowly beginning to enjoy human contact. Once inside  his foster home and out of the cold Drake discovered it is better to be inside. He loves the many dog beds  available to him now, and has tried out the human beds too. Foster Mom reports that Drake is a very smart  boy and he catches on to the routines quickly. He goes out to the fenced yard for potty breaks on schedule,  and has had zero accidents inside the house! He will head to his crate for meal times , and follows the pack to  the bedroom every night to sleep. Drake has shown no aggressive behavior towards any dogs, but he is timid  around them at first. There was some fighting among the dogs in his previous life which has made Drake very  cautious around dominant dogs . He would do best in a home with a friendly canine companion or two to help build his confidence.   A f airly quiet and low key home would suit him best as Drake tends to seek out quiet, low traffic areas of his  foster home to be his safe space. Drake is easily startled by unexpected sounds and quick movements, so he  would not be a great fit for a home with small children. And no cats please as he learned to chase small  animals in his previous life living outside. A securely fenced yard will be a must as Drake learns to be more  comfortable walking on leash.   Drake’s biggest need is a patient family willing to allow him the time he needs to feel confident and secure. We would love to have him work on this in his forever home to start bonding with  his people. Drake’s foster mom will be available to help adopters with any questions while Drake adjusts to a  new home. If this gentle soul seems like a fit for you, please apply at www.HavenAnimalRescueNebraska.org   ADOPTION DONATION: $400   *ALL DOGS MUST BE INSIDE COMPANION ANIMALS! They must all be trained with positive reward based training and all are all up to date with vaccinations, altered, microchipped, HeartWorm tested, and on preventatives.
