Story
𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐀𝐛𝐛𝐲! She’s a 7-year-old Labrador Retriever/Bluetick Coonhound mix with a playful spirit and LOTS of love ❤️ to give. Abby arrived at Stray Haven after her adopter passed away. She's hoping to find a loving home like the one she once had. 𝐃𝐨𝐠 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 🐶Abby can be a little choosy about her canine companions. We recommend a meet-and-greet with any existing dogs in the home to see if they're a good match. 𝐍𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐬, 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 🐱This girl prefers a home without feline friends. 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 🏡Abby is a smart dog! She's excellent about keeping her kennel clean here at the shelter, which means she'll likely pick up a potty schedule quickly and easily in her new home. 🐕 If you’re looking for an outgoing, playful pup, Abby’s your girl! Stop by Stray Haven during our open hours to meet her. Tuesday-Friday 10-5. Saturday 10-4. Story
Sweet girl that I’ve had for about 6 years. Looking to rehome due to her increased anxiety with a baby in the home and I am currently expecting for a second in December. She is great with older kids or in an adults only home. She loves cuddles, getting outside for walks, laying in the sun, and having a safe space for her to retreat to. It break my heart to have to part with her but she deserves a home she feels happy and comfortable in. Happy to answer any other questions.

Story
Sweet Morticia, an 11-month-old ACC survivor, has already shown incredible resilience and a gentle heart. But right now, what she really needs is a dedicated FOSTER or FOREVER home to help her be the best she can be.   Currently in a temporary foster in Binghamton, Morticia needs a home without small dogs, cats, or kids under 15—a tougher match, which makes finding her next step even more urgent. Like many young pups, she’s eager to learn but still needs guidance and structure to reach her full potential.   She’s spayed, fully vetted, and ready to move in—all she needs is someone willing to open their heart and home.   All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.  Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.  Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. Story
Sweet as her name – Meet Molasses!  If you’ve been waiting for a puppy who is as smart as he is sweet, look no further. At 4 months old, Molasses is proving that good things come in small, wiggly packages! Currently thriving in her Upstate NY foster home, this girl is a gold-star student who is already mastering the art of being the "perfect" family dog. The Molasses Report Card: Kid Approved: She is wonderful with teens in her foster home.  Dog Friendly: She loves her foster dog sibling and is a social superstar.  House & Crate Skills: She is working hard on her  basics and showing incredible focus for such a young pup! Molasses has that perfect balance of puppy curiosity and a gentle, sweet soul. She’s looking for a family committed to continuing her structure and training so she can reach her full potential as a confident adult.  Could Molasses be the missing piece to your family puzzle?
