Updating because it’s urgent. We are not able to keep Silo much longer. Silo was rescued from a ground silo by the county dog warden, hence the name. We learned about her when she appeared in an at-risk post, the shelter needed room and she’d been there too long. So we met her and loved her and took her home the next day. She is a little under a year old, still has her puppy playfulness, loves belly rubs and taking sniff walks outside. Ideally, Silo would thrive in a home with space to let her energy out with a dedicated owner to play and continue her training She is absolutely the sweetest dog I’ve ever owned. She loves affection and just wants to be part of a family. It breaks my heart to let her go, but I know there’s someone out there who can love her as much as I do.

Ranger is a fun puppy who loves toys and treats. He is a fast learner and even taught himself how to use the ice dispenser on the fridge of his foster home. He has a silly personality and makes the funniest noises to get your attention. He is great with kids, cats, and dogs. His new family will need to continue to work with him on his puppy manners and housebreaking. He has a bit of a limp, and after some x-rays the vet discovered he has an old break in his leg that has healed. It did not affect his growth plates and that he just needs to build up a little more muscle in his leg. Looking for a spunky little lady to keep you company? Meet Papaya! This pretty girl came to us as a stray, nervous and unsure of us. Thankfully Papaya turned right around, and is now everyone's best friend! She is a sweet, goofy, playful girl and would love a family that can match that energy. She loves toys and is happy to roll around with a squeaky toy or chew all day long. Papaya absolutely loves the water, be it splashing around in a kiddie pool or playing in the hose. She already knows some skills including "sit" and "shake"! Papaya is uncomfortable around both dogs and cats and prefers not to interact, so she would prefer calm and respectful four-legged housemates or to be the star of the show. Papaya has met a couple of children since being in the shelter, and does well with them! If you have other animals at home we recommend bringing them in for a meet and greet before taking Papaya home.
