Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

A couple of them have a cute little underbite, and they all have scruffy coats—but they’re not expected to be long-haired.We were told they may be a Labrador Retriever/Husky mix, though genetics like to keep us guessing. Kowalski sports striking black and tan coloring with eyebrow markings, giving off Rottweiler/Shepherd/Doberman vibes—so who really knows? 😄At 12 weeks old, they each weigh around 14 lbs, and based on their current size, we expect them to grow to 50+ lbs. 🌈 Meet Rainbow Brite! 🌈Rainbow Brite is a 1½-year-old, 24-lb, small-to-medium-sized momma dog who raised her eight puppies like a champ—and now it’s her turn to be spoiled. She is fully grown (though she may gain a pound or two now that mom life is over) and is believed to be a mini Labradoodle mix, meaning regular grooming will be needed. ✂️🐩She rides great in the car, walks on a leash (with a fun little zig-zag style 😄), and is a good alert barker when someone’s at the door. Rainbow Brite does well with cats inside the home, though she may bark at cats she sees outdoors. 🐱Rainbow Brite is house trained and can comfortably hold it 8–10 hours. One thing to note: she isn’t fully used to pottying while on a leash, so a fenced yard would make things easier, or adopters should be prepared to help her learn that leash pottying is okay.She’s a gentle, sensitive, velcro-style pup who loves being close to her person and excels in a calmer home. She may take a little time to warm up—especially to men—but with patience and kind guidance, her confidence continues to grow.
