You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Please welcome Pluto to DASH! He is a beautiful chihuahua mix who is good with other dogs. He gets along with cats and is currently in our DASH Prison Program and is housebroken, crate trained and walks on a leash. He seems to be doing fantastic with all of those things, and his new family will need to continue with those as he transitions to his new forever home. He has not been kid tested, but with his mix of lab and chihuahua, we feel like he would be a great addition to a family. However, he can be touch sensitive when startled so younger children would not be preferred. He would also do very well with an active senior or single person looking for an adventurous snuggle bug. Pluto is protective of his food and toys, but only with other dogs. His trainer says he is very loving and receptive to encouragement. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

I adopted Maddie from Fairfield Humane Society when she was a puppy. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She has her 2026 dog license and she is chipped. She would be great with a family and only dog. She is protective and lovable. Loves to cuddle and lay with her owner.
