Story
Rocky is a lovable boy who lives in the moment. He is a goofy but challenging pup who pushes every limit he can! He will need a firm, patient owner who will set boundaries and consistently stand by them. He is looking for a forever home that has some experience with the food motivated lab and stubborn mastiff. He is a powerful puller on leash and does best with a harness. He likes car rides and is crate trained. Due to his size, it's recommended that children in the home be 10 and older. He will chase the kitties in his foster home, so a dog savvy or no kitties is best. He is up to date with his vaccines, flea and tick treated, Heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500. You must be 21 years old to adopt and provide vet and personal references. An application to adopt him can be found on our website www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com. Click on Adopt, then Dogs for Adoption and scroll to the bottom of the page. All applications are reviewed, and if we feel you might be a good fit for him, you will be contacted to arrange a home visit as well as for permission to speak with your vet. Repeated phone calls and emails with not advance your application. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue and there is no opportunity to meet him before an application has been approved. We thankyou for respecting these guidelines.

Name: Breed: Age: Gender: Weight: Good with cats or Small Animals: Good with dogs: Good with Young Children: Good with Older Children: Fenced Yard Required: Crate-Trained: House Trained: Name: Shadow Breed: Lab Cross DOB :  August 7, 2024 Gender: Male Weight: 62lbs Good with cats: Unknown Good with dogs:    Yes Good with Children: Older than 7 Fenced Yard Required:   Yes House Trained:   Yes Crate Trained: Yes Location: London, Ontario   Shadow is a sweet, loving boy with a big personality and even more energy. He’s crate trained, housebroken, and a quick learner—but he’s also clever enough to test boundaries if you’re not consistent with training.   While he’s been crated at night during training, Shadow has previously had free run of the house without causing damage—though he does have a weakness for toilet paper and tissues, so be sure to keep those out of reach! Shadow thrives with strong leadership. He’s intelligent and eager to please, but he will try to outsmart you if he senses he can run the show. He loves to chew, so sturdy toys and bones are a must. He also enjoys digging in the garden, chasing his tail, and playing ball—though he’s still learning the finer points of fetch. Using two balls helps reinforce the return part of the game! He’s still working on not counter surfing and has a special talent for finding every missing sock in your house. Shadow also loves to lick—so if you're a fan of foot "massages," you’ll be in luck! Car rides are another of his favorite things. He traveled from Quebec to London with a relay of kind commuters, all of whom praised his excellent car manners. True to his name, Shadow will follow you everywhere. He’s incredibly loyal but needs an adopter who can confidently set clear boundaries. With the right person, Shadow will be a devoted, joyful, and entertaining companion. His adoption fee is $850 which includes his vaccines, preventatives, microchip and neuter.     If you think you can give him a happy ever after home, please complete our online adoption application at this link https://www.animalert.ca/apply/dog-adoption   Due to the high volume of emails, calls, and messages we receive, it is not possible to respond to every application. Story
Hello there my name is Blade. I am a gorgeous Labrador x Shepherd mix that is very friendly and do quite well with other dogs. And because I am so food motivated, that makes me very trainable. And although I seem okay with cats, I may need some training with that once I`m comfortable. My photo may look a little misleading. I look cute and small, but I am a hefty 73 lbs. I am a pretty clean, active and not too noisey kind of guy. If I sound like a dog you`ve been looking for, I suggest you come here to London Animal Care Centre and meet me. I will be here!

Story
Hi, I`m Hugo!I`m a young-at-heart kind of guy; my face may be gray and my eyes may be cloudy, but I am full of life and LOVE to run around! I am dog tolerant but would prefer a home without kids or other pets, but I may make an exception for the right dog. I am a happy guy who loves to make noise, so hopefully you don`t mind a little barking :) I love to go for walks and chase squirrels, sometimes I forget I am attached to a leash and pull a bit hard when I want to see something. But with some training I will be walking like a pro in no time.I am very treat motivated and would love a home to settle into for the rest of my golden years!
