NEED TO REHOME A SWEETHEART OF A DOG -I've been fostering Harper for about a year (bc she was very shy at first), She's a really sweet mixed-breed dog who gets along well w/ other dogs and adults. She's a bit shy at first when she meets people, but she'd probably do fine w/ older children after she gets to know them. Younger kids might take longer. She's completely house-trained & is a perfect lady inside. Our problem is that, while we do have another dog, Heidi was raised in a cage at a puppy mill & just honestly doesn't know how to play. Harper desperately wants & needs another dog to play w/, especially outside. She's very smart but has no interest in fetching a ball or stick, although she's ecstatic when I go out in the backyard w her & jumps around & play bows. Unfortunately, I'm not a dog.🙁 -I just don't think she's living her best life w me, & I want to find her a loving home w another dog where she can really enjoy herself after such a bad start in life. Are you that home?

Story
Hi, my name is Cash!I’m a big, goofy, sweet-hearted boy who loves to play and make my people laugh. I’ve got a silly personality and a whole lot of love to give! I’m still learning how to share—food and toys are my favorite things—so I’d do best with an experienced forever family who understands my boundaries and can help me continue my training.I also occasionally have seizures, but they don’t define me or slow down my joy for life. With a little care and attention, I do great and bring so much happiness to the people around me.Because I’ve had some trust issues in the past, it takes me a little time to feel safe with new people. I warm up beautifully, but I’ll need multiple visits so we can build a bond at my pace. Once I decide you’re my person, I’m loyal, loving, and all-in.I may be a big guy, but that just means there’s more of me to love. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion with tons of personality—and you’re willing to take the time to earn my trust—I might just be your perfect match! My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.

Story
Hi, I’m Beckham.I may be the runt of my litter, but I have a huge heart and the sweetest soul.I was born outside about 12 weeks ago and had never lived indoors before. After a scary start and a few big changes, I landed with my wonderful foster family, and everything changed for the better. Now I sleep inside, eat four meals a day, drink all the water I want, and receive lots of love. When I first arrived, I was very thin, but with good care and consistent meals, I’m filling out nicely and feeling stronger every day.I can be a little timid at first, which is understandable given my early life, but once I feel safe, I become incredibly affectionate. I love belly rubs, cuddles, and being close to my people. I proudly carry my favorite pink dinosaur around and enjoy playing with toys, zooming around, and spending time with my sister Babs.I’m a smart boy and already learning to sit for treats. I like to tilt my head from side to side when you talk to me because I’m really trying to understand. My potty training is coming along well—I’m about three-quarters of the way there and do my best to use pee pads and let my humans know when I need to go outside.I love children, I’m crate trained, and I don’t have separation anxiety. What I need most is a patient, loving family who will give me a little time to build confidence. In return, I will be a loyal, gentle, and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, soft-hearted puppy who will love you unconditionally, I may be the perfect addition to your family. My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. Story
Hi, I’m Babs, and life has been a whirlwind lately, but a really good one.I spent the first 12 weeks of my life living outside, so everything about being indoors is still new to me. When I arrived at my foster home, I discovered warmth, comfy places to nap, four meals a day, unlimited fresh water, and so much love. I’m adjusting beautifully and learning how wonderful this new life can be.I’m a smart girl and already know how to sit for treats. I love toys, especially my little black skunk, which I proudly carry everywhere. I’m teething right now, so chew toys are one of my favorite things, and I’m learning what is mine and what isn’t. I’m working hard on potty training and always try to use the pee pad while I continue to learn.I have a playful side and absolutely love zoomies, especially when I’m outside. I’m also very affectionate and enjoy cuddling, particularly when I can curl up in my foster dad’s arms in the recliner. I’m curious, eager to learn, and have just a touch of puppy stubbornness that makes me extra charming.I love children, I’m crate trained, and I don’t show signs of separation anxiety. I’ve been around cats and did not react aggressively, so with proper introductions and guidance, I may do well in a home with feline friends.I’ve been told I’m a beautiful girl, but what really matters is that I’m a loving, loyal puppy looking for a forever family who will continue helping me learn and grow. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who will bring joy, cuddles, and fun into your life, I may be the perfect match for you.My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Story
Meet Bruce — a loyal, goofy, and affectionate boy who just needs the right person to help him shine. With the people he loves, Bruce is all about snuggles, cheese, and playtime—fetch, tug, and a good game of chase are his absolute favorites. He’s also super smart and loves puzzles that challenge his brain!Bruce is looking for a very special, patient home. He does not like strangers or other dogs, so he must be the only pet in an adult-only home. He needs someone who will take the time to earn his trust—and once you do, you`ll have a loyal shadow who insists on cuddles and attention. He gets sad when left alone, so his ideal person works from home or has a flexible schedule to visit him during the day. Recently, Bruce has shown signs of progress after shutting down emotionally for several weeks. He’s begun reconnecting with his human friends—even hopping into a trusted staff member’s lap again.Bruce is a work in progress, but with the right match, he’ll thrive. If you`re experienced, patient, and looking for a deep bond with a dog who just needs a chance, Bruce might be your perfect companion. My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Story
Leeandra’s story starts just a couple of weeks ago, when she was found as a stray. Sadly, an owner never came forward. It’s clear she has had puppies in the past, but those days are behind her now. She will be spayed soon and is ready to enjoy life as a loved pet with a forever family of her own.Leeandra is a happy, friendly girl who truly loves people. She gets excited meeting new friends! This adorable girl is always full of joy no matter what she is doing. She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. Leeandra is super playful and loves toys – she does the cutest little head tilts when they squeak! She has a slight underbite, and sometimes her lips get caught on her teeth, which only adds to her charm. She is a great size at around 35 pounds.Leeandra is fully housetrained and will whine at the door to let you know when she needs to go outside. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys being out and about, greeting the world with a wagging tail. She loves her crate and sees it as a cozy place to relax. She does not tear up toys or belongings. She has been working hard on the sit command and will sit politely for toys. She even comes right over when you whistle for her. She has done great with other dogs, but she is not a fan of cats.Leeandra is extremely sweet, eager to please, and ready to be your very best friend!-----My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Story
Barney followed my boyfriend home from a walk. He was extremely thin and had marks on his neck. The vet said he is healthy and about a year old. He is a very sweet dog with plenty of energy. He is playful and loves to be outside searching for squirrels. He would be a great hunter. He eats well, sleeps well, and is mostly house broken. He is up to date with shots, has been neutered, and has also been microchipped. He would be great on a farm with lots of room to roam but would want to sleep inside. He would not do well left alone a long time - he is still in the puppy phase of chewing and is also able to climb a chain link fence. He goes to bed early and sleeps all night. We are not prepared to keep him with our current situation.

Story
Meet Dragonfly! This beautiful 1 year old lab mix was surrendered to us along with her sister, Junebug. Their family fell on hard times and ended up with more puppies than they could care for. Thankfully, some kind-hearted people stepped in and reached out to us, and we couldn’t turn them away. Dragonfly was very shy when she first arrived, but her personality has bloomed in a loving foster home! She is working hard on her household manners and is catching on quickly. Dragonfly is scared of young children, and would do best in a home with teenagers and older. She walks beautifully on a leash, stays close to her person, and often heels naturally without being asked. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to play. Dragonfly prefers her own space during mealtimes. She is absolutely obsessed with her ball (she can even throw it for herself) and has recently started getting the zoomies, which is so much fun to watch. She is curious about cats but responds well to redirection and will leave them alone when told. Initially, she was scared of her foster’s husband, but she has made incredible progress and now approaches him for belly rubs and love. If you are ready to earn the trust of a dog who will adore you forever, Dragonfly just might be your perfect match. We promised Dragonfly that the rest of her life, would be the best of her life. She loves other dogs, playing outside, and being a goofball. Junebug is smart and athletic, and she would make a wonderful adventure partner! She is such a gem with a bright future ahead of her, and has been doing wonderfully in foster with her sister. She does not seem to do well with small dogs and cats, as she does have that shepherdy prey drive. Junebug is ready for forever!
