Story
Hello, My name is TJ! I am new to the shelter. I was surrendered because my owner fell ill and was no longer able to care for me. My family member told the shelter that I`ve never been around other dogs, I chased the cats in my home, I`m crate trained, I really like to be with my people, and I like having people who are home often. I am a bit of a nervous boy who may do best with humans teenage years and older. Please keep checking my profile for updates as the staff gets to know me better! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2023 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $7.00. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$5.00)Leash and collar included

Story
Stella is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. A family observed Stella being pushed out of a vehicle and abandoned. They took her in and were planning on keeping her since she was such a great dog - being good with their dog, cats, and chickens. But their first dog did not like Stella and attacked her, so Stella had to go. Stella is microchipped and we discovered that she was adopted from a shelter in Greenville SC. The adopter moved to Texas and told us that they had "rehomed" her. Stella is a yellow lab/chow mix (she has the purple tongue of a chow) and she weighs 80+ pounds. The microchip data tells us that she is 6 years old. Stella is a very good dog. She was understandably scared of our other dogs at first but she is now okay since she knows they won't hurt her, and she has just started to play with some of them. Stella has not shown any interest in toys or chew bones, but she loves treats. Stella is also content to lay in the yard or in the house and loves pets, scratches, belly rubs, and human attention. Stella is fine with cats and chickens. She has no interest in them. Stella is house-trained and very well-behaved in the house. She will whine when she needs to go outside. Stella rides well in a vehicle, sits on command, and comes when called. She likes to go on walks (but pulls on the leash sometimes). Stella could use some additional gentle obedience training. Stella needs a few days to learn to trust new people and unfamiliar situations but treats quickly make things better. We recommend that Stella only be around older children who know how to behave respectfully with dogs. Stella must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She needs to be walked on a leash and would like a securely fenced yard to sun herself and go potty. Stella is healthy. She is spayed and tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Stella is heartworm-negative and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Stella's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to the Pittsburgh area. Stella is being fostered in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Pepper - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Oh do we have the puppy cuteness overload going on here!! These adorable siblings have got almost all 'the' boxes checked!!! Affectionate - check Sweet - check Huggable and Kissable - double that check Playful - check Cute as a button - oh for sure that's a check Pawsome family members - yep, that's a check The family - no check :( ...yet! Pepper, a natural spice for any life! They named me Pepper cuz I really will add some zing to your life! They say some pepper every day is very beneficial. Well just think how greatly beneficial it would be if you were to have all of me all the time!! All it takes is one meet and I'll have you hooked right around my little pinkie (better make that toe since I doesn't have fingers) and headin straight for the heart!!! I am about 3 months old and can be a teensy tad bashful upon first meet. But as with your typical puppy it only takes me a NY second (not even the whole minute) to warm up and show my true silly personality. A little bit sassy, a little bit sweet and a whole lot of cuddly. At my current weight of 9-10lbs we think I should be around the 40-45ish lb range when I gets fully growed up. What a great size for well...everything. Big enough for any activities and adventures you might want to go on but small enough to make sure there is lots of room on the couch for you. I wants to make sure I doesn't miss out on ANY of my cuddle time! I does great with people tall or small and the other foster pups here at the rescue. I would sure be beside myself if I was to get a family with a playful sibling (2 or 4 legged variety, either are sure to be a boatload of fun!) that I could have a blast in the yard anytime or all the time!! At my young age, even tho I hasn't met a cat yet, if introduced properly I should do great with them too. I will need lots of exercise and playtime to help keep my puppy shenanigans at a minimal but with that in I should do great in town with a yard, out in the country or anywhere in between. With my sleek shiny coat I will be lower maintenance in the grooming department making me more of a wash-n-to type of fella. And you DO know what that means don't you?!! Yep, lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department, my favoritest time, you and me time!! Sweet and sassy, playful and snuggly, add in that cutest lil face and you've got a fabulous family member just waiting to happen! I just needs YOU to help me get that last box checked!!! These adorable lil siblings includes - Honey and Pepper

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Hey there! I'm Tabitha, but you can call me Tabby for short! I'm packed with personality and love. Top qualities - adorable, soft, and the sweetest little pup you ever could meet! Cuddle bug, professional kisser, and expert in silliness are some of my other commendable traits. With my fellow fur friends - both cats and dogs, we're just like peas and carrots. Guess what?! I'm potty and kennel trained. Working on my basics like sit, stay, fetch, and trying to be a good girl on the leash. Love to play in the water and have a good run with my doggy pals. Can't contain my excitement, I'm such a wiggle worm!! Perfect for families, both with and without kiddos. My charm will sweep you off your feet and into my heart. Prepare to fall in love!! Tabitha is about 5 months old and is around 23lbs. Our best guess for her breed is Lab/Rottweiler Mix. She is spayed, update to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is currently on heartworm and flea preventative.
