Story
Introducing Turkey, a sweet and curious pup! Turkey is incredibly affectionate and loves to play! He has typical young dog energy, Turkey loves playing outside and he's always up for a game of fetch. Turkey is great with children and other dogs, but would do best in a home without cats, as he wants to try to play with them. One of his funniest quirks is slithering on the grass like a snake with his back legs stretched out-it's both adorable and hilarious. Turkey is crate trained and settles down quickly and relaxes when he needs to be crated. He enjoys his walks and does well on his leash. Turkey is a big-hearted teddy bear who's ready to be your newest family member. Handsome and lovable, he is going to be the perfect adult dog. Turkey is excellent at settling when directed to do so. We know that he will be a great addition for almost any family. Turkey is a must see. If your looking for a young pup. Turkey is currently located at our Sanctuary near Marion, WI where any meet and greets with Turkey would take place!

Meet Oaklie, the handsome lab/Shar-Pie mix who is as charming as he is well-behaved! Oaklie is potty trained and handles kennel time like a champ, staying quiet and relaxed with no barking or whining. He's a fantastic walker on a leash. Oaklie is a quick learner, already knowing commands like sit, leave it, and shake, and he's currently mastering drop and down. He has a playful, energetic side but also knows how to settle down and relax. Oaklie does well with other dogs and enjoys playtime with his friends. This playful pup loves fetch and enjoys all kinds of toys, making him a delightful companion for fun and games. Oaklie can be a bit shy at first, but he warms up quickly and shows his loyal, gentle nature. Story
Meet Rusty, a charming 12-year-old Labrador mix who's looking for his forever home! At around 50 pounds, Rusty may have a few extra pounds to shed, but he's still full of love and life. This lovable senior enjoys exploring his foster home's fenced yard and going for leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. While long hikes might be behind him, Rusty still has bursts of playful energy that will warm your heart. He can frequently be found chasing his tail during his energy bursts! Rusty is an easygoing companion who gets along well with the small dogs and cat in his foster home. Though he hasn't met children yet, he's likely to be just as gentle and friendly with them. Rusty isn't too interested in toys but adores being petted and snuggling up in a cozy dog bed. He loves nothing more than a sunny spot by the window or a comfortable nap in one of many dog beds in his foster home. Potty trained and familiar with basic commands, Rusty is also learning to wait calmly at doorways instead of bolting through them. While he isn't crated in his foster home, he's likely to handle being in a kennel just fine. Described by his foster as sweet, perfect, and handsome, Rusty is a wonderful blend of laid-back and lively. He would love a home where someone can be with him most of the day, even if it's just to lounge on the couch while you're working. Rusty may be an older gentleman with some arthritis tendencies, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying life! He still loves going on walks and running around the backyard, though he might need shorter strolls and a gentle reminder to take it easy during his zoomies. Rusty is available for adoption, but he has a dental cleaning scheduled in October with our partner vet. Until then, he's eligible for a foster-to-adopt arrangement, allowing him to settle into his new home while waiting for his dental care to be completed. Once his dental is finished, the adoption can be finalized. If you're searching for a moderately active dog who can also be a top-notch couch potato, Rusty is your guy. Apply now and give this delightful senior the chance to brighten your life!

Story
Hot Wheels SEEKS HIS FOREVER FAMILY who is committed to giving him nothing but happy days for the rest of his life. For a low adoption fee, you can bring home this $15,000 family member. A video of “Wheels” was shared showing him dragging his back end. The Right to Live Rescue took him into rescue. He was covered in fleas and had severe dragging wounds. He had back surgery with a 50/50 chance of success. Then, he had one of his broken back legs reset and plated. He started hydrotherapy and seemed to be doing well. Sadly, he developed a flesh-eating bacteria on his back legs causing one to be removed. He stayed at the Vet’s office for about 5-6 weeks while they worked to clear him of the infection and open another gaping wound in his remaining and plated rear leg. He has no idea he is different than the other dogs. He loves to go on walks in his wheelchair. He does zoomies around the yard and chases the others and even plays tug-of-war with a 112 pound lab/pittie/mutt foster brother. He loves to have his ears rubbed since he cannot scratch them himself. He loves to scoot through his splash pad on hot days and wade in his inflatable pool. He turns in circles like a top when he gets excited which is when he is getting fed or sees you come home. He can pee and poop on his own but he sometimes does that in his sleep or when he’s excited. He dribbles a bit. He has diapers and belly bands but they sometimes slide off because he does not have both legs. He is willing to travel with his wheelchair, his diapers, his belly bands, his toys, his elevated feeding stand and slow feed bowl (that does not really slow him down). Despite everything he’s been through, he is the happiest boy in the world. He would love to sit on a dog bed and chew a nylabone and watch to make sure you are looking at him. He has passed cats on the porch or street and not reacted to them. He may need a short introduction to any new fur siblings. He seems to know who he can pick on and who he needs to defer to. He will come with this cute gingerbread costume just in time for Christmas. https://www.facebook.com/reel/280549138140602 *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
From Bonnies Foster: She is an 11-12 month old, FIXED, black lab mix (not sure of the mix) and she is the sweetest girl you will ever meet. She thinks she's a lap dog, even though she's around 60 pounds . Every morning when I leave for work, she follows my car, running and jumping and just having a good time. When I get home from work, she runs out to meet me and is waiting outside of my car door in pure joy. When I step out, she sits down and leans against my legs, like her very own version of a hug. She loves running around and playing fetch, and is even starting to learn how to catch a frisbee! She absolutely adores running around with my other dogs and is so funny and playful. As she is still a pup, she needs a forever home that has someone that can dedicate time to her training and someone who is able to put in the time and dedication to her that she so truly deserves. Please help me find sweet Bonnie a forever home. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption.
