Story
My name is Cooper and I am the quintessential gentle giant. The shelter I left said I am pretty much perfect and my foster parents agree. I’m a 1 year old Lab mix, around 53 lbs. I am very sweet, good with kids, good with other dogs, like to play fetch and I walk well on a leash. I am potty trained and love car rides. I will shower you with love and loyalty and make you proud with my intelligence and social grace. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Hi, I'm Macie, and in case you didn't already guess, Gracie is my sister. I am a 1 year old lab mix, around 35lbs. We are both super sweet girls who do not have to be homed together but it sure would be nice too. I love the peoples and also all the other doggos. I am still very young so be ready for lots of energy and keep me busy and tired, a tired dog is a happy dog! I hope you love my sleek black glossy coat and my big brown eyes, I am hard not to fall in love with! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
Hi, my name is Sunny. If you are looking for a sweet, calm and laid-back dog, I’m the one for you. I’m a beautiful 12 yr old golden lab mix, around 40 lbs. I have so much love to give … will you be my person? Just a slow walk, some snacks (ok lots of snacks) and a few belly rubs and bum scratches, and I’m as happy as can be. I love other dogs and people but I would prefer a home without really small children – I’d like to enjoy my golden years laying around and taking it easy. Can you find room in your home (and your heart) for a beautiful old boy? You looking for the best boy? I might be bias but I think it's me! Hi, I'm Oreo. I am a 10 months old lab mix. I am a super duper handsome boy who is sweet as can be. I am young and fun so I have lots of energy and am super excited to learn obedience training with my hoomans. I love other dogs, and all the people and I even like cats! I'm basically packed and ready to start my new life with my new family. I’m the pick of the ‘pumpkin’ patch – pick me! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Hi my name is Coco! I’m a 3 1/2 months old lab mix and about 12 lbs. I am ready to tackle the world, can you be my partner? I'm super affectionate and playful, a typical puppy in every way. I love all people big and small and love playing with all my pup friends. I even like cats – but I think they smell a little weird. I am ready to learn manners and how to be that perfect dog. If this sounds like something that interests, you and you like what you see then hurry! I’m a “hot dog” LOL and I won't last long. Story
DAISY aka DOODY. Miss Daisy is the embodiment of "happy to be alive". This sweet soul ended up at the local shelter with extensive wounds to her face and chest, her medical notes indicated she had likely gotten caught in a wire fence or perhaps attacked by other dog. Rescue busted her right out of there and got her to a local vet, where she was diagnosed with ehlers danlos. That's just a fancy way to say her skin is a little more delicate than a normal dogs and tears really easily so she needs to be a little more careful than most dogs and can't roughhouse or engage in "mouthy" play. Daisy is the last to know though, she loves to zoomie all around the yard and her very favorite game is keep away from her foster mamas (especially when it's time to go inside). Daisy does well with dogs of all sizes but needs slow intros. She should be monitored while playing to avoid any potential owies. Daisy is crate trained and a happy playful little soul. She requires a little more care and caution than a typical puppy, but will pay you tenfold in smiles and snuggles. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
Hooch originally is from Indiana and made the roadtrip up to Wisconsin for his fresh start! Hooch was found abandoned with another dog in a fenced in area. These two pups were named after the classic film: Turner & HoochSo while we don't have a lot of information about his past, he's a pretty great dog to get to know. Here's what we've learned about our handsome boy Hooch in the last couple weeks he's been at NAS: - Hooch was a perfect and well-behaved boy during his 6 hour drive from Indiana and seemed to enjoy the car ride. - Hooch gets excited when he sees people and loves his daily walks. - He has a loud hound-like bark to match his long hound-like body. (You'll know what we mean when you come to meet him)- He's been loving playtime with other dogs here at the shelter and seems to do well with most dogs. - Hooch takes treats gently and may do well with children. Please fill out an application to meet this perfect boy! Since arriving at his foster home, he has been so sweet! Hola is very timid and submissive, but with time we think he will gain the confidence to come out of his shell. Bio: Janet is a happy, spunky girl excited to find her forever family. She came to Wisconsin after coming in as a stray in Texas. She has already experienced the snow in the short time she's been here and doesn't seem too impressed with the cold. She was able to warm up with a bath, which she did very well during and then enjoyed curling up on the couch with the resident dog. She does well with other dogs, but will need to work on her excitement while playing as she comes on a little strong. We are working on potty training and getting her use to her new foster home and new routine. More to come on this pretty girl as we learn more about her. Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Bio: Tulip has been in her foster home for two weeks and she’s been doing awesome! Some things we notice about her and her personality Tulip is always happy She is a little jumpy when she’s excited so little children in her new home may not be ideal Tulip sings in her kennel at night until she settles in. It normally takes 15 or 20 minutes for her to quiet down Oddly she’s quiet in her kennel during the day when her foster mom is gone Tulip is very smart she understands no and she loves to be told she’s a good girl! She’s fostered with many dogs of various sizes and does great. But when a dog doesn’t want to play she doesn’t read that cue very well and needs her human to step in and tell her to stop. Tulip would do best in a home with an experienced and confident dog owner. She needs to know that person is the boss and then she falls in line! Because like we said she’s a smart girl!
