Story
Introducing Blue, a gentle and sweet companion who exudes contentment. While he may not always engage in playful activities, he thrives in the company of his foster parents' 9-year-old lab mix. He is learning that outdoor play with his dog foster sibling is fun and is engaging in outdoor antics like frolicking in the yard. Although he hasn't encountered children yet, there's confidence that he would handle it well. Blue exhibits exemplary behavior, sleeping soundly in his crate at night without a peep. Left alone for a few hours during the day outside of the kennel, he shows no signs of barking or destructive tendencies. Fully house-trained, he maintains a clean record with no accidents indoors. Despite carrying a bit of weight, Blue is making excellent progress through multiple daily walks - which he would love to continue. This quiet and easygoing canine comfortably observes household activities, choosing to rest on his bed or the floor. While not seeking cuddles, he relishes being close, and appreciating gentle pets and scratches. With each passing day, Blue becomes more at ease, revealing more of his charming personality. Interactions with people, quickly turn into a readiness for attention. Blue's activity level within the home is generally low, and he hasn't shown interest in playing with toys, possibly indicating a need to learn their purpose. He effortlessly follows the lead of his human and canine companions. Remarkably chill, Blue is a model of gentleness and quiet companionship. His apparent familiarity with table scraps suggests past feeding habits, and he patiently waits by the table, though he's on a journey to shed 10 pounds. Blue's endearing quirk includes lifting his paw for a handshake, and, as a playful touch, he may sneak onto the couch when your back is turned, considering himself quite clever. If you are looking for a relaxed and content companion - Blue is your dude!

Story
My name is Cooper and I am the quintessential gentle giant. The shelter I left said I am pretty much perfect and my foster parents agree. I’m a 1 year old Lab mix, around 53 lbs. I am very sweet, good with kids, good with other dogs, like to play fetch and I walk well on a leash. I am potty trained and love car rides. I will shower you with love and loyalty and make you proud with my intelligence and social grace. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Hi, my name is Sunny. If you are looking for a sweet, calm and laid-back dog, I’m the one for you. I’m a beautiful 12 yr old golden lab mix, around 40 lbs. I have so much love to give … will you be my person? Just a slow walk, some snacks (ok lots of snacks) and a few belly rubs and bum scratches, and I’m as happy as can be. I love other dogs and people but I would prefer a home without really small children – I’d like to enjoy my golden years laying around and taking it easy. Can you find room in your home (and your heart) for a beautiful old boy?
