Tank! Tank is a 5 year old Lab mix. This lengthy man is real confused lately, over the last year having had multiple homes. Tank's looking for a place to settle down. *Housetrained *Crate trained *Good with dogs *Curious of cats Tank is a big boy who tends to lead feet first and so he would do best in a home with older children. Story
Lime aka Brutus is an almost 4 year old mix, initially adopted from Sandi Paws on 10-30-2020. Unfortunately his previous owner became ill and was no longer able to physically or financially care for him as he deserves. Brutus is about 60 pounds, up to date on shots, neutered, and kennel trained. He is excellent with kids (currently in a foster home with a toddler). He is well socialized (previously attended doggie daycare) and gets along very well with other dogs. He loves to play, sleep in the sun, and go on car rides. He is loyal, affectionate, and happy go lucky. He will be a great addition to just about any family! An online application can be found at SandiPaws.org for this handsome boyThank you for your interest in a Sandi Paws Rescue, Inc. Story
Sweet Taffy is on the hunt for her new forever. Taffy is from the 2020 Rugrats litter. She was adopted as a puppy and lived the first 3 years of life with her caring owner. A tragic illness left her owner no longer able to care for her, family members could not take her, so back to rescue she came! It’s clear this queen was well cared for and very loved. At 3 years 9 months old—she is full grown at 72lbs!! Her litter mates DNA test identified as mostly German Shepherd and Lab—2 absolutely beautiful, intelligent and loving breeds. This beautiful lady has outgrown her puppy stages. She is potty trained, mastered all basic commands and tricks, does great in or out of a kennel and listens fabulous. She can entertain herself by tossing a toy around or will indulge in a game of tug or fetch with you! Taffy was around kids 5+ at her prior home and is currently fostered with kids as well. She would do well in a home with kids, as long as her space is respected. Taffy does require slow, proper introductions when meeting other dogs. She enjoys having a playmate to romp around with, it will just take some patience, time and proper guidance for her to adjust and feel safe. But does need to be fed separately, she was in her first home with no other animals and doesn't understand the whole sharing idea. She is currently fostered with 2 other dogs and after decompressing and warming up (about 1 week—but Rules of 3 will DEFINITELY apply here), she is now friends with them. Proper techniques will be discussed during adoption process. If she is your one and only, that is perfectly okay with her too! This gentle giant just wants someone who will let her stick her head out the window on car rides and bring her for walks. She will make a wonderful addition to most any family. Whether it’s going hiking and fishing, or relaxing on the couch with a movie (as long as no dogs are in it🤣), this girl will surely enjoy just being by your side. Story
Paisley is 7.5 years old and was recently surrendered by her owner who adopted her from SPR as a puppy. Paisley would do well in a family with teenagers and up. She absolutely LOVES playing fetch and tug of war. Paisley is potty trained and goes in her crate easily with a treat. She does pretty well walking on a leash but is working on not pulling as much. This sweet girl is affectionate and does not want to leave your side. She loves sleeping at the foot of the bed or on the floor next to your bed on a blanket. Paisley knows "sit", "shake", and "lay down" and is very food motivated. Paisley would do well with a proper and calm introduction to other dogs to feel comfortable in new surroundings. Paisley has done well with the 2 other dogs in the home and mostly wants to keep to herself. Paisley appears to have a little bit of an issue with her eye sight with small treats and toys. She isn't quite ready for adoption but will be real soon! She can start meeting people though! Story
Puppies are magnificent! I am cute, rambunctious, lively and fun. I have so much to learn, discover and explore - just a tiny sponge who is ready to absorb everything you have to teach me and show me. I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and experience new things each day to allow me to grow into a confident young dog. That isn't as exotic and daunting a task as it might sound. Each day I just need to be introduced to one new thing like the sound of a vacuum, a blender or a door bell, walking up and down a step, a ride in a car, hearing a motorcycle or a truck, going somewhere to see new people, even maneuvering a fallen log on a walk. You get the idea, so many things that seem common to you are completely new to me. Speaking of growing, I may be tiny now but I do plan on getting bigger so I would love to take obedience classes to learn proper manners and social skills. I also know I have to practice something called house-training so I know proper potty behavior. A routine and lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I potty outside. Puppies and dogs need love, exercise, mental stimulation and consistency to be healthy, happy and confident. I am typically very open to all sorts of housemates; I can be a bit mischievous and may find any other critter as a potential playmate so they will need to understand that about me. I often explore the world with my mouth and while I am teething I like to chew; my little puppy teeth are very sharp so if I am around children we should always be supervised. It is important that children learn about respecting me, too, and treat me gently because I am fragile. Raising a puppy is a big responsibility, a lot of work, and it may interrupt your sleep cycle for a bit, but a courteous and well-behaved dog is certainly worth the investment and I promise to be loyal, love you unconditionally and be a companion forever. I just know I will bring joy and laughter into your home and cannot wait to meet you. Let the adventures begin!
