He needs a foster or adopter to secure his spot on the transport to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 5/29/26. Meet Luke Luke is a 2-year-old Lab/Weimaraner mix who came into the shelter as a stray and is now ready for a fresh start. At 65 pounds, he’s a strong, athletic boy with a playful spirit and a lot of love to give. Luke is considered an “elite” temperament dog at the shelter, consistently showing off his friendly and well-balanced personality. He gets along great with both male and female dogs and absolutely loves to play and romp around with his canine friends. Whether it’s a game of chase or just exploring the yard, Luke is happiest when he’s active and engaged. He is a medium energy guy and would thrive in a home that can give him regular exercise and include him in daily life—walks, adventures, and even dog park outings would be right up his alley. Luke would also do wonderfully with another playful dog companion, but he’d be just as happy soaking up attention as a solo pup with his people. Luke is already neutered and ready to transition into home life. With his friendly nature and love for activity, he’s sure to make a loyal and fun-loving companion. For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Spud Has Arrived in Wisconsin and Is Looking for His Forever Home Update from Spud’s Foster: I am Spuds foster and let me tell you, I am amazed he is still with us. He is so sweet, this guy wants NOTHING but love and affection. He’s not ‘lazy’ and he loves to play fetch (and he does bring it back AND drops it) but he is more chill than most puppies his age. He’s is likely closer to 7-8 months based on his teeth, no more razor sharp puppy teeth in this guys mouth. He doesn’t puppy bite at all, he’s potty and bell trained, walks great in a leash, knows ‘sit’, ‘leave it’ and ‘house’ to which he runs to his kennel. He’s 45 lbs now, we weighed him yesterday. He sleeps through the night without a peep in his crate. If you are looking for a wonderful all around puppy without all the puppy shenanigans, Spuds is your guy. Spud arrived in Wisconsin and is currently settling into his foster home with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. He is doing well and is now ready to find a loving forever family. Meet Spud Spud is a 7-month-old mixed breed puppy who is ready for a fresh start. He and his brother, Sprout, were originally found as strays and ended up in an Arkansas shelter before getting the chance to travel to Wisconsin for a better future. Despite his rough start, Spud is a happy, loving puppy who enjoys being around people. He has a playful, friendly personality and, like most puppies his age, he is curious about the world and always ready for fun and attention. Spud does well with other dogs and kids, and with proper introductions and time to adjust, he will likely do well with cats too. He and his brother are believed to be Lab/Shar Pei mixes, which gives them their extra squishy, wrinkly and adorable look. Even though Spud is still a young pup, but he has already learned the basics such as crate training and potty training. We are working on leash manners. He is at the perfect age to learn and grow with his new family, and with patience, consistency, and love, he will make a wonderful companion. Spud currently weighs about 35 lbs and is ready to begin the next chapter of his life with a family who will help him continue learning and growing. Story
Toby is a wonderful companion. He loves to play fetch, belly rubs, and baby talk. He is best around older children just because he is bigger and very playful. He still needs to be trained not to jump on people. He does this because he is so excited to see them. He knows commands like come, sit, wait, lay down and paw. He is potty trained and up to date on shots. He is active and needs a lot of exercise. He will be 2 in August. He needs a home with a nice backyard so he can run and play. Or someone who is able to take him for walks on a regular. He is a lab mix with Light eyes, and is brown with cream spots, I would love to find him a home as soon as possible as I am no longer able to give him the time and attention he deserves. He has his cage, some food, collar harness, retractable 15 ft leash and lots of treats.

For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Foster or Adopter Needed by 6/3/26 Henry needs a committed foster or adopter to secure his ride from Fort Bend Animal Services in Texas to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 6/3/26 in partnership with Dog Is My CoPilot. Without a home commitment, he cannot make transport. Meet Henry Henry is the kind of dog who wins people over simply by being himself. This handsome 5-year-old Lab mix has a calm, gentle nature and a quiet presence that makes you instantly feel at ease around him. Henry arrived at the shelter already neutered and with an unregistered microchip, making it clear he once had a home of his own. A Good Samaritan shared that he had been wandering around their neighborhood since last summer, surviving on his own for far too long before finally making his way to the shelter. Despite everything he has been through, Henry has remained incredibly sweet and easygoing. He walks beautifully on a leash with no pulling or chaos — just a relaxed stroll by your side. His energy level is on the lower side, and he seems happiest simply sitting close to people and soaking up affection. If you are willing to pet him, Henry is more than happy to stay right there beside you. Henry has done well around other dogs in shelter playgroups and during dog introductions. He calmly greeted another dog and was perfectly content coexisting nearby, though he seemed much more interested in getting attention from staff members than engaging in play. He appears to be a dog who enjoys companionship without needing to be the center of activity. He is not overly interested in toys or treats right now and can seem a little unsure at times, but his gentle personality always shines through. After spending so long fending for himself, Henry deserves a soft place to land and a family who will finally give him the stability and love he has been missing.
