Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sayde! Sayde is a very sweet, happy, and playful girl who's ready to find a family of her own! She spent several weeks running the streets before she was finally brought to safety. Despite efforts to find her owners, no one ever came forward, so now she's looking forward to a fresh start. Sayde has a fun-loving personality and isn't shy about showing her excitement—expect a few happy barks and jumps when she sees you! She gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine friend to play with. She does have a rough-and-tumble play style and may occasionally try to show she's the boss, so slow introductions and canine companions who appreciate an active playmate would be ideal. We're not completely sure if she's potty trained yet, but with consistency and patience, she should settle into a routine. Sayde does seem to have some resource aggression, which will need continued correction and training on. Due to this, older/considerate kids only.  Because of her breed, Sayde will also need regular grooming to keep her coat looking and feeling its best.  Sayde is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. Her adoption fee is $400. She is currently located in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. We are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations. Story
Meet Amos! He is a 3 year old Lhasa Apso/Tibetan Terrier mix (our best guess) and weighs 20lbs. He has the most beautiful highlight/lowlight hair coat - most of us pay a fortune at the salon for this coloring and his is au naturale! Amos is a sweet guy who loves attention. He will glamour you with his "sit pretty" begging pose - it gets us all the time. This boy will do ANYTHING for food. He adores pets and cuddles, but Amos definitely has a Terrier influence and when it comes to walkies, he is all business. He will walk as long as the day is long if you let him, marching along taking in all the sights and smells. Amos would love an adult home (or even one with teens) where he can hang his hat. He is friendly/indifferent with other dogs and may consider sharing space with another friendly pup. If you are interested in learning more about Amos, please contact his adoption counselor Beth at beth.b@poainc.org AND fill out an application ASAP at www.poainc.org.

Story
A new classic duo has entered the villa this summer and their names are Teddie and Marty! Teddie (4 year olds) and Marty (6 months old) are a duo of Lhasa Apso mixes who each weigh about 10 pounds. While they had a rough start to life, this pair is ready to enter their lover boy era. These boys are shy and enjoy each other's company but in the short time with us they have already begun to come out of their shells. They enjoy long walks and are even getting better at being on leash! And if they get too hot they don't mind being carried like the princes they are. As they continue to come out of their shell they are looking for a patient adopter who can help them shine! Although Marty only has one eye (one was removed surgically for medical reasons) we can see they have bright futures ahead! If you have any questions about Teddie and Marty you can email their adoption counselor at isabel.giovacchini@gmail.com AND fill ouy an application at www.poainc.org .

Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2797734##
