Story
Berry is a little dog with a big personality! Berry is playful, spunky, and adores going for walks, playing with toys, and being around his people. Berry can be selective about new friends, so he's looking for experienced adopters who can help continue working on his manners with positive reinforcement and patience. Berry is looking for an adult only home with no other pets, and he is not a fit for an apartment or condo. If you're ready to open up your heart and home to this pup, reach out to us to learn more about him! *Berry has a slightly longer adoption process than our other dogs. If you're interested in learning more about him, you can email adoption@homewardpet.org. *

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Brownie! Brownie came to us as an owner surrender alongside his whole family, and like the rest of his family, he’s trying to make sense of how his life suddenly changed. Being in a shelter environment can be overwhelming, and Brownie is understandably nervous and unsure right now. Even with everything he’s been through, Brownie is a sweet boy who is ready for a fresh start. He’ll need some time, patience, and understanding as he adjusts to a new home and learns that he is finally safe. We believe that with a little time and a lot of love, Brownie will show just how special he really is. Brownie does well with other dogs and loves people. Because of his breed and coat, his new family will need to be committed to regular brushing at home and keeping up with professional grooming appointments. Proper coat care is an important part of keeping Brownie comfortable, healthy, and looking his best. Brownie is ready to leave the uncertainty behind and find a family who will give him the stability, love, grooming care, and forever home he deserves. Brownie has already lost the home he knew. Now he’s hoping for a family who will make sure he never has to wonder where he belongs again. His adoption fee is $400 and includes his neuter, vaccines, microchip, 4DX test, ProHeart 12, and Bravecto. If you think Brownie could be the boy you’ve been waiting for, please apply to adopt him at www.adoggie4you.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 7, 2026, 4:38 pm

Est. DOB: 04/05/2018 Current Weight: 26lbs Adoption fee: $350 (Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) Zip is a lovable Lhasa Apso mix who is ready to find a new family to call his own. This sweet boy has spent his entire life with one owner, but sadly, due to his owners health, he now finds himself looking for a new home. Zip is friendly with people and is a gentle, affectionate boy who loves attention. Since he has never lived with children, cats, or other dogs, he will need slow, patient introductions to help him feel comfortable and confident around new furry or human family members. Zip does have dry eye and will need ongoing care to keep his eyes comfortable and healthy. But dont let that stop you from getting to know this wonderful little guy—he has so much love to give! Zip is looking for a loving family who will give him the time, patience, and affection he needs as he adjusts to this new chapter in his life. In return, hell give you plenty of love and companionship. Apply today! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSAR/Dog Disclaimer: Please note that dogs in a rescue environment may behave differently than they would in a home setting. While we do our best to assess each dogs habits and behaviors, we cannot guarantee that any dog is fully potty trained or will not have accidents after adoption. Changes in environment, routine, stress levels, and transition into a new home can all impact a dogs house-training habits. Patience, consistency, and continued training may be needed as the dog adjusts to their new home. Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess. Groomed we are calling him a Lhasa Apso Border terrier as using the app he came up as 'Border Terrier" .We dont know what he is! We cannot say hypo allergenic? Now we do not know his breeds but he's a cute patootie small dog, who sometimes should be professionally groomed (see last photo) Paul is a young small breed dog who is dog and human and cat friendly . He is potty trained a a sweet kind great friendly small dog. Yes we pay for professional dog rescue transport, health certificate, grooming, neuter, shots (rabies/bordatella, dhhp), etc. We reimburse the shelter volunteers who have worked tirelessly to fundraise to get the medical done, so that funds they raise can go to all the other shelter dogs in need. shaynesrescue.com is how to apply to adopt, please click on the link to adopt which is this link on our webstie https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ He was saved and transported from Lufkin Texas to us from Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter. Lol the shelter had given him the name Mopsey which was appropriate until after we sponsored his grooming! Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Bentley! Bentley is a 4-year-old, 10 LB Terrier/Lhasa Apso mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. This little guy is sweet, cuddly, and loving with his people once he feels safe — but he does take time to open up and trust. Because of this, Bentley is looking for a very special home that can give him patience, structure, and stability. Bentley will need an adult-only household in a calmer, quieter environment. A bustling, busy home or small children would be too overwhelming for him. He enjoys going on walks and would love a quieter neighborhood where he can explore without too much stress. Once he has bonded with his person, he becomes incredibly loyal, affectionate, and loves to curl up for snuggles. Bentley does well with other dogs, but tends to prefer smaller dogs to larger ones. He can be shy and may fear nip when he’s uncomfortable, so he will need an experienced, dog-savvy adopter who understands shy or fearful pups and can give him the space and time he needs to decompress. Underneath his initial shyness, Bentley is playful, goofy, and full of love. With the right home — one that is calm, predictable, and patient — Bentley will blossom into a fun and affectionate little companion who bonds deeply to his person. Bentley is UTD vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
