Story
I adopted Marcus when he was about 1.5 years. He is trained to use a litter box and is also happy doing his business outside. He and Lady Cat love to play and cuddle together. He like to climb trees, play with shoelace or string, be carried around to see things that are up high, and be pet all over. He will often flop down on his back to have his belly rubbed. He is now about 6 years old and my living situation is changing such that I cannot keep this loving cat anymore. Lady Cat is a 5yr female cat that is up to date on vaccines and spayed who bonded with Marcus when I moved to my current place. She is a shorthair tabby with a gold striped belly. She is very friendly and talkative once she gets to know you and likes to cuddle at night. She likes the same things as Marcus. She has a lovely purr that often includes chirping sounds. They both are lovely and great cats and pretty smart.

Story
Oliver is an adventurous, playful, cuddly Maine Coon mix kitten looking for a forever family to have fun with. He is a handsome brown tabby born February 20th, and he is going to be a big boy, as he's already over 8lbs at 6 months old! Ollie loves toys with feathers and wands, playing chase, wrestling and snuggling in bed, but most of all he loves his sister Leah. He is devoted to her, looking for her or calling to her when she's out of sight. Leah loves him back, and these adorable siblings enjoy snuggling, grooming, wrestling and playing chase with each other. We are only considering families willing to welcome both these dynamic kittens into their family. Ollie and Leah came to us from the Central Valley, after kind neighbors took in their abandoned mom. The kittens were quite a surprise, but they were lovingly cared for, and now they are hoping to find the same love with their forever family. Ollie is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and will be getting microchipped at his upcoming vet appointment. Could you be the purrfect match these two have been waiting for?

Story
Leah is a super sweet and adorable Maine Coon mix kitten ready to leap into your heart! Leah is a torbie who was born February 20th, and she's probably going to be big, as she's reached 8lbs at just 6-months-old. Leah is smart and playful; she enjoys sneaking up on wand toys, wrestling and playing chase. After she's tired out, she likes to snuggle with others or curl up in plush, comfy beds. Leah is very affectionate, but she likes things to be on her own terms. She will approach you for cuddles, and sleep in your lap or curl up under the covers with you. Leah loves playtime, pets and snuggles, but more than anything, she loves her brother Oliver. He is her best buddy and playmate. Leah looks out for him, making room for Ollie on the cushy beds, and making sure he gets his turn with the toys and his share of any treats. Leah and Ollie came to us from the Central Valley, after kind neighbors took in their abandoned, pregnant mama. These sweethearts were having a hard time finding a family who would keep them together, so they've come to the city in hopes of finding their forever family. Leah is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and will be microchipped at her next vet appointment before being adopted. Could you be the fairytale ending these kittens have been waiting for?

Story
Meet Jerry, a gorgeous 3-year-old male Maine Coon mix!  Jerry has some of the typical Maine Coon traits such as large paws, a big ruff (mane), fluffy tail and long whiskers.  He is mostly orange with some white down his chest and on his paws.  Jerry loves attention and being petted. Jerry was born on approximately May 1, 2020.  He has been neutered, and will be microchipped and up to date on his shots prior to adoption.  He would be okay in a home with other non-aggressive cats, but no dogs or children, please. For more information about fostering or adopting Jerry, please contact Deborah at 510-909-4961 (text preferred) or at angusnfriends@outlook.com. September 16, 2024, 3:29 am

Story
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Chinchilla (Chin Chin) and Shadow are a sweet bonded pair of lovely kitties that were rescued together from a large cat colony. They appear to be Maine Coon-mix cats.  Shadow is probably Chin Chin's mother.  They both have amazingly loud purrs!   Chin Chin and Shadow’s rescuer, Sara, provided us with this description of the girls: “Chin Chin is gray and white and was born in approximately May 2016.  She's a bit flighty and will run away at first, even from me, but comes back as soon as I start petting or brushing another cat.  She returns even faster when I'm dispensing treats.  She is very playful and chases balls and other toys around the room.  She even has a regular morning romp with another cat from the colony. Shadow was born in approximately May 2014.  She's very small for a Maine Coon mix (about 6 pounds) and has gorgeous all-black fur.  She loves to be brushed and petted and often meows loudly.  Her fur is curly, so regular brushing is needed to keep mats from forming.  She's even gotten used to stand-up brushing of her belly and will jump onto the cat condo so I can reach her more easily.  Once there, we sometimes touch noses.  She's the sweetest girl.  She's very docile and calm once she gets familiar with you and the household.  She doesn't even run when I vacuum.  She's also very good about eating oral flea medication with tuna or sardines. Both girls are going to be shy at first with new people but with patience and gentle talking, treats and eventually brushing, they'll come around. Both of them have purrs that practically shake the house.  I can hear Chin Chin purring from another room, and she'll start even before I touch her.  Shadow starts drooling when she's purring.  It's so cute! There's no way of knowing for sure, but I believe they are mother and daughter.  They are definitely a bonded pair.   Both are in good health.  I give Shadow daily hairball gel and Chin Chin a powdered probiotic in her food.  They are good about using the litter box and grooming themselves.  Chin Chin and Shadow have both been spayed and will be up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption.  They are good with other cats.  They might be okay with older, respectful children, or with a very calm and cat-friendly dog." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a Courtesy Post, and Chin Chin & Shadow are living in a private foster home with their rescuer Sara in Hercules, California. If you would like more information, please contact Sara at s_garetz@yahoo.com. Please Note: These cats have not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cats’ status with their rescuer and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.September 15, 2024, 4:57 am
