It would be great if they could be adopted together, but it is not required.* Meet Kringle! This beautiful boy loves being petted, and having his cheeks scratched puts a big grin on his face! He likes napping on the desk, preferably snuggled up to you. He sleeps on the bed with his people and has even started creeping up to enjoy a warm lap! Kringle loves chasing strings and feather toys, but his true passion is soccer. He often practices with his little foam ball by himself.  When they were kittens, Kringle and his sister, Clarisse, were kept in a crate, all alone in a basement. They were not handled or socialized, so when they arrived at the rescue they were practically wild animals. However, volunteers have had tremendous success transforming Kringle from an extremely distrustful, terrified cat into a nice boy who absolutely soaks up attention! Kringle is still "working on himself," and would do best in a quiet household with an adopter who has previous experience owning cats. He is not suited to a family with small children: due to his lack of socialization, Kringle can become overstimulated and nip at hands. Kringle remains cuddly for longer and longer periods of time, so we are hopeful that when he feels secure in a home of his own, he won't be prone to that protective behavior. Despite his rough kittenhood, Kringle is ready to return affection 10-fold. It would be great if they could be adopted together, but it is not required.*  Clarisse is a gorgeous girl with a big personality! She is a "Mini Maine Coon Mix." Though she may look like a sophisticated little munchkin, Clarisse loves to play and chase strings as much as the next little cat! She tears around like a wild woman and loves bunny-kicking her kicker toy. When she is ready to relax, she enjoys being petted and has super-soft fur, plus, she has the sweetest, breathy meow that sort of sounds like, "hey."  When they were kittens, Clarisse and her brother, Kringle, were kept in a crate all alone in a basement. Since we are both experiencing severe health problems currently and a move from the area has become necessary, we can no longer care for the cats. 'Mush'] (NM, Brown Tabby?, DLH?/Maine Coon?, ~7+ years?) & Scout (NM, Black, DSH, ~6+ years?) Mush[mellow] never liked hanging out at the salad bowl, but his food bowl is his claim to fame and weight gain. Scout waits patiently for his turn. And even though Mush also hogs their bed, Scout still loves him and they always work it out. They are best buds for life! Two gentle giants who were found at our local Rite Aid, and are, thus, referred to as the "Rite Brothers". That said, we don't know whether they are siblings, or even related at all, though it is clear they are strongly bonded and have great affection for one another. Mushmellow was initially quite larger than Scout, so we believe there may be some age difference. Whatever the case, they are both big dudes who will need lots of exercise - along with a relatively strict diet. Mushmellow has a tendency to give some pretty strong 'love bites', but he means well. He gets along great with everybody (cats, dogs, kids, you name it!) He is a big boy who likes to eat and lounge around on the chair overlooking his kingdom. He is very affectionate and loves to be pet and snuggled. He's very chill, but also enjoys playing with toys from time to time. They both have long fluffy hair and are about 3 months old. They are shy until they settle in and get to know you. But once they get comfortable they are very sweet and affectionate. She is an absolute doll. She would sleep around her foster mom's head or in her arms every single night. She always wants to get love and play with her toys. She is a baby, only about 3 months old and has beautiful fluffy, soft hair. She'll need someone who will keep her brushed and comfortable as her hair gets longer. She is such a sweetie. She gets along great with everyone, especially the other kitties she is being fostered with.
