Maine Coon kittens & cats in Hampstead, Maryland

Celeste is a beautiful, purebred Maine Coon. She was surrendered to us very, very sick- sick to the point where she couldn't stand. She had an illness called FIP. Until recently, FIP was 100% fatal. There is a treatment now, but it is very expensive. We put Celeste through the entire treatment and she is now healthy, spayed, and ready to find a forever home. Celeste is a super sweet, friendly girl. She is inquisitive , and a typical Maine Coon in the way that she acts like a dog in a cat body. She does have an elevated adoption fee, just so we can cover the cost of the medical care that we put into her rehabilitation and help more animals.

Since we are both experiencing severe health problems currently and a move from the area has become necessary, we can no longer care for the cats. 'Mush'] (NM, Brown Tabby?, DLH?/Maine Coon?, ~7+ years?) & Scout (NM, Black, DSH, ~6+ years?) Mush[mellow] never liked hanging out at the salad bowl, but his food bowl is his claim to fame and weight gain. Scout waits patiently for his turn. And even though Mush also hogs their bed, Scout still loves him and they always work it out. They are best buds for life! Two gentle giants who were found at our local Rite Aid, and are, thus, referred to as the "Rite Brothers". That said, we don't know whether they are siblings, or even related at all, though it is clear they are strongly bonded and have great affection for one another. Mushmellow was initially quite larger than Scout, so we believe there may be some age difference. Whatever the case, they are both big dudes who will need lots of exercise - along with a relatively strict diet. Mushmellow has a tendency to give some pretty strong 'love bites', but he means well. Missy (f) is a beautiful Maine Coon mix who found herself living alone and in need of a new person to love when her senior, human dad passed away. She will take a minute to warm up to you but will quickly become your best friend. Missy is 5 years old and the perfect age if you are looking for a kitty who is playful but not high energy. She is talkative but not excessively. Missy also has perfect potty manners. Our gorgeous fluffy lady has lots of love to give to the lucky person or family who adopters her. We think Missy would do best in a quiet home as an only fur companion. ##2357057##

She came to rescue as a stray and was tested positive for feline leukemia. She has been vaccinated and spayed and is now needing a forever home. She has been totally healthy and a very sweet girl. She must be an only cat, live with other positive cats, or live with cats that are vaccinated against feline leukemia. If you can open your home to her, let me know. Billy (DLH Black 7 yrs 2 mths male & Buttercup (DSH 5 yr Brown female Tabby) (bonded), (June 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Billy and Buttercup, what a cool looking pair!, lost their home a few years ago when their owner went to a Nursing Home. They found help from the local Humane Society and had a permanent foster home, or so they thought. Just a couple weeks ago, that foster home said they could no longer care for them and asked for them to be moved to an adoptive home. They are a bonded pair, devoted to each other and are looking for a home together. The cat's adoption fee is $100 EACH, to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. He has been living in a foster home, having hanging out and looking forward to having a family again. His foster mom says he's a lovely boy! He's sweet and affectionate.
