Arjan( RJ) is a one and a half year old Mitted Red Maine coon mix. He had FIP and beat it. He is an affectionate, loving boy who loves to sleep on you. He is heads shy from receiving shots, But otherwise he is an amazingly affectionate, amazingly social cat who adores other cats. He is a playful, young cat and needs a companion. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states. Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption. All cats are considered mixed breeds unless otherwise stated. As a rescue, we often don’t know a cat’s origins, and do our best to guesstimate their breed. This is not a guarantee. We do get purebreds from time to time and that will be stated in their description if known. Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email. YOUNG CAT COMPANION POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.

Daughter brought this cat home as a kitten about four years ago… Told her we had to find him a new home, but never really tried at that time. She has since moved out. We already had three cats and dog. He gets along well with all other animals that we have. He loves to eat! He is a free feeder. Eats dry food morning and afternoon and wet food at night. He is a snuggler

Kira is a beautiful Maine Coon/DMH mix "Tricolor" - tortoiseshell, calico, tabby - female born approximately 7/24/2021. Although small, she does have some Maine Coon characteristics and quite an unusual coat! Poor Kira was basically abandoned outside by a family that no longer wanted to care for her. She was pregnant and starving. A caring neighbor contacted NBCR to see if we could help. We took her into a loving foster home where she received the care, attention, and food she needed. Sadly, she lost all but one of her kittens. She is healthy now and is looking for a forever home where she will never have to worry about being alone and hungry again. Kira is to your home as marshmallows are to s’mores. Once you get a taste of her friendship, you’ll wonder how you lived a day without it. She’s just as comfortable playing with her toy mice as she is snuggling on your lap while you read a book - or finally watch those 30 reels your partner sent you! She’ll let you know when she likes you by flopping in front of you. But be careful... The “flop” move will make you late for your next zoom meeting, because who can resist scratching those amazing ears?  Kira would probably do best as an only cat.
