Story
When we found Catarina, she was all alone in a local shelter after being found outside without her mom. She was very skinny and dirty, but she came over to stand by her cage door and reached her little paw out to one of our volunteers asking us for help.  We knew we had to save her!  This little fluffball of a kitten has completely blossomed in our care. Catarina quickly gained weight and is now very energetic, playful, sassy and beautiful. She has the softest, most luxurious long fur that will be absolutely stunning as she grows.  In foster care, Catarina discovered that she LOVES playing with her four-legged foster siblings and would thrive in a home with other pets. She also loves snuggling up with her foster mom. She has the cutest little face and loves to look at you like, "Aren't you going to pay more attention to me?" (Don't tell her we said this, but she's probably got a little bit of tortie sass in her little tabby body)  Catarina would be the perfect addition for a wide array of families. Once you meet her, we know you'll fall in love with her just like we did.  While we don't DNA test our kittens and we aren't sure of Catarina's past, we think she could be a Maine Coon mix. Either way, she's 100% a long haired little purr machine!    Catarina is too young to be eligible for a full adoption. However, she is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program!  Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in a foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $125.    RHS Adoption Process and Requirements Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/heartworm preventative. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit by an RHS representative. Phone Interview. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. Home Visit.  If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will coordinate a virtual home visit. We’ll request you send videos/pictures of your home to verify it is safe and welcoming for the cat. Meet and Greet. Once your home visit is complete, we can coordinate a time with you and the foster parent/s to meet the kitty you’re interested in.  Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Story
Paris Tex has a lot of opinions and she wants to tell you about all of them. She’s bold, precocious, beautiful, and has big hair- She’s your typical Texas gal! This gorgeous lady loves being the center of attention and loves snuggling, boldly exploring, and keeping tabs on all of her pretty toys.  When she’s not napping and snuggling with her siblings or foster mom, she’s often playing and leading the charge to find new mischief to entertain herself. Like a typical Gen Alpha girly, she loves her foster mom’s phone and will pick out her own videos to watch on Youtube. She’s also discovered the front facing camera and likes to practice face acting for when she is inevitably scouted for a reality TV show. Paris is a brave little kitten who has always been the most expressive from her litter. When we first met her, she was singlehandedly yelling at us to save her and her brothers and sisters. It’s a good thing, too! We saved them from the shelter just in time! They were on a euthanasia list due to their young age and inability to eat on their own. While in our care, Paris and her siblings have blossomed in to absolutely perfect kittens who would be great in a wide array of homes! Paris is too young to be adopted, but is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program!   Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Story
Meet Gabriella! Gabriella is a beautiful long haired American cat. Reserved at first, once she opens up to you she is very affectionate and loving. She has a quiet purr and loves to make eye contact with her beautiful green eyes. She loves a warm bed to snuggle on and her scratching post the most. Gabriella is very smart, attentive and cuddly and loves one on one time with people. It takes her a bit to trust but she is loyal and loving as can be. Gabriella would thrive in a home without dogs, other pets (OK). She enjoys the company of humans and other cats. She enjoys nice quiet space to hide but also loves the opportunity to curl around your feet. Due to her age Gabriella struggles eating hard food, she prefers soft food, preferably shrimp or fish flavored! DOB: 01/19/2015 ************************************** Our adoption fees are $125 for one, $200 for 2, and cover the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots, microchip, combo test, deworming, and collar and ID tag. We require our adopters are 21 years old or older, keep the cat inside only (unless on a leash/harness or in a catio), and do not declaw.

Story
Meet Mimi, a declawed Maine Coon mix, born in 2018. She came to Saving Hope when her elderly owner could no longer care for her. The chaos of leaving the only home she had ever known triggered a past issue with stress-induced bladder stones that caused a blockage. She had surgery to remove them, and now this beautiful girl is ready for her forever home.Mimi is a super sweet, smart, playful girl with gorgeous looks to match her stellar personality. She loves being brushed, which is needed to maintain her luscious long coat and prevent hairballs. Mimi enjoys chasing toys and is a catnip lover. She is initially cautious in new places but warms up within a couple days. Mimi is a quiet girl with a very tiny meow. She is very serious about being petted and will gently paw your arm and meow if you stop! Mimi has never lived with another animal before and is sensitive to loud noises, so she would do best as an only pet with older children. She eats prescription urinary food to keep her healthy. Although Mimi needs daily brushing and special food, she is easy to please and just wants a couch to lounge on and a person to love that loves her too. She is vetted and has excellent litterbox manners. She would like to be an only pet.Saving Hope supports all kitties keeping their claws. Mimi was surrendered to us declawed. You must submit an application to be considered for adoption. We cannot reply to all inquiries, but respond to all no obligation applications. Story
Meet Azalea! Azalea is a gorgeous Maine Coon mix born early 2022. Azalea's story is a true testament to the power of love and determination! She had a home and knew love at some point, her demeanor suggested so. But somewhere along the line she was failed, whether intentionally or not she was forced to defend for herself unspayed and vulnerable to all the dangers cats like her face. Despite it all, she has a forgiving heart and a sweetness that only comes from a loyal and loving cat. She enjoys being spoiled with pets and belly scratches and all the comforts a home provides. She is confident and doesn't take no for an answer. She knows how sweet and safe life can be and she wanted that for her babies. Azalea is living proof that kindness can change lives! She doesn't mind other calm cats and dogs that will leave her alone but wouldn't mind having her very own person all to herself! She is fully vetted and has excellent litter manners.
