Story
Meet Olive! Olive is a sweet and gorgeous girl born in 2018. Olive was surrendered by her owners after kids came along Olive spent her days hiding in fear of the noise and chaos. They felt she would do better with a calmer home. Olive is shy at first and very sweet. She will need a patient adopter who can give her the time and space she needs to relax. She is playful and likes cat nip, to chase feathered wand toys, and to hang out in her tunnel. She does well with other cats when properly introduced and has excellent litter manners. You must submit an application to be considered for adoption. We cannot reply to all inquiries, but respond to all no obligation applications. Fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/cat-adoption-application It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. Story
Meet KittyBorn in late 2017Fully vettedKitty is a big handsome 20 lb chunk of love with the calmest sweetest personality. He is incredibly laid back and just wants to be near his people whether that is lounging nearby or soaking up affection. Kitty is gentle tolerant and easygoing even around dogs though he would likely thrive best in a quieter home with calmer animals.Kitty has hypothyroidism and takes his medication twice daily like a champ with no fuss at all. He is great for grooming too. Nail trims are no problem and brushing is one of his favorite activities.Kitty started peeing outside the litter box after a big change at home when his owner started a new job. A UTI has been ruled out and the vet believes this behavior is stress related so a stable low stress environment is key for him.The fun stuffLoves tubes and treatsVery affectionate and people orientedChill gentle and sweetDog tolerant and has lived with dogs his whole lifeNo experience with other catsKitty is looking for a calm understanding home where he can relax feel safe and be loved and in return he will give you a whole lot of affection and companionship. You must submit an application to be considered for adoption. We cannot reply to all inquiries but respond to all no obligation applications. Fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/cat-adoption-application It does not obligate you but it is the first step. Story
Meet Kitu (or Flump the Fur Lump)! He is genuinely a treat of a pet. He is so silly, curious and full of personality, he loves to hang out with our kids and cuddle or play. He has IMMACULATE litter box behavior (I mean could not be better!) Ask for the video of him trying to drink from the sink if you want a glimpse of this goofball's character! He gets along fine with dogs - he doesn't really bond with them, but he can be around them just fine. But he continues to stalk and attack our senior cat 😔 This is his only issue. We have tried everything over two years, and we just can't get these two to get along. We feel he would do best in a home without another cat, but it may also just be our cat specifically. If you're interested and want to meet, or if you prefer to keep him for a short time to "test" the dynamic, we are happy to work with you! We would ask for periodic updates at first to assure our kids that he's happy and thriving in his new home.

Story
Our next events to meet our pets:  Saturday September 27, 2025 from 1:30-3:30PM  at Take Me Home Pet Rescue 580 W Arapaho Rd Suite 433, Richardson, TX 75080 Saturday October 4, 2025 from 1-3PM at Petco in Plano 801F W 15th St, Plano, TX 75075   Marie Curie is the only girl in the ‘science babies’ litter and she’s as brilliant on the outside as she is on the inside! She’s a stunning torbie (mix of tortoiseshell and tabby) and an experiment of beautiful colors! Like her namesake, Marie is independent and happy keeping herself occupied. She’s playful, but less adventurous than her brothers and is happiest snuggling and making biscuits on you or a soft blanket. Marie has two siblings (Atom and Bond) and could be happy on her own or with a friend. Marie’s formula is 3 parts love and 2 parts independence. If you are looking for a balance of affection and independence, Marie could be the girl for you!    Marie Curie is too young to be eligible for a full adoption. However, she is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program!  Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in a foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $135.  Our Adoption Process: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo an in person or virtual home visit from an RHS representative. Complete Application.  https://www.richardsonhumanesociety.org/adopt/ Phone Interview/Vet Check. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. We also get a reference from your vet, if applicable. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in. We will try to include the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Due to COVID, we may ask you to send a video of your yard and the pet's expected living space. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $135 for cats. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. ##2481268##

Story
To meet this Big Thomas, please text 214 621 1139. Wow! What a hunk of fellow. This is our Big Thomas, a very fluffy, gorgeous, silky red orange kitty with a Texas sized personality. Aside from his luxurious, thick long coat, Thomas has gorgeous green eyes and a lovely ruffle mane around his neck. Thomas is a cuddly and easy-going kitty who loves his naps, just as much as he loves his belly rubs. He enjoys cozy moments with his human caregivers. Not content with being a fake orange cushion on the couch, Thomas tries his very best to act like a mighty hunter but often times, he ends up looking like a cloud of orange puff skittering around. However, he does take his mealtime very seriously, and he is always ready and waiting for his next dish. This big boy is not a picky eater which is probably why he sports that rotund shape. He has an equally handsome brother with whom he is fostered with, so be sure to check out Melton's bio as well. We would love to show how very squishy and lovable this furball baby is, so text us and let us arrange a Meet and Greet. Please note the following: We always do vet reference checks and we WILL NOT adopt kittens or cats into household where the residential pets are unvaccinated. This is to ensure the safety of BOTH our kitten/cat and your current pets. April 19, 2026, 4:31 pm

Story
Butters is a 5 month old Tabby who comes off a little shy but warms up quickly to be a sweet cuddly cat. He would do best in a home with 1-2 people and would probably be best being the only pet in the house, although he is experienced with being around other cats. He loves attention, playing with laser pointers, eating, and night zoomies. We are sad to see him go but our new son is allergic so we are looking for his new forever home! He has had most of his teeth removed due to stomatitis but it is completely treated and gives him no issues, he eats any food just fine!
