Around 9 to 10 years old and I am an absolute little angel. I had a dental recently in my mouth looks and feels so much better. I have a wonky back leg, which is checked out by board certified surgeons who determined it’s an old injury and there’s nothing to do and I am not in any pain so that was great news. I get along with everybody and everything and I can’t wait to meet you. please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Meet Hugo Hugo is an absolute miracle with a heart just as big as his story. This 6-year-old, 14.5-pound Maltese Terrier mix was found abandoned outside a liquor store in the pouring rain and rescued by the incredible team at Hope for Paws. When Hugo first came into care, he was completely blind due to severe cataracts. We immediately rushed Hugo to a veterinary ophthalmologist, knowing there was a chance surgery could restore his vision. Sadly, one eye could not be saved because of a fully detached retina but hope remained for the other. Hugo bravely underwent surgery, and although complications initially made the outcome uncertain, this sweet boy never gave up. After weeks of intensive eye drops and injections, Hugo regained his vision. It truly felt like a miracle. Since coming into rescue, Hugo has also worked hard in professional training and has absolutely blossomed with the right structure, guidance, and consistency. We are so proud of the progress he has made. Today, Hugo is a happy, loving boy who fully embraces life. He loves car rides, walks, toys, and spending time with his doggie friends. He does best with slow introductions to new dogs, but once comfortable, he becomes playful and social. Hugo absolutely adores people and wants to be wherever his humans are he is the definition of a loyal companion. Hugo will need daily eye drops for the rest of his life, along with periodic ophthalmology rechecks to keep his eyes healthy. The best part? He handles his care like an absolute champ. Hugo is searching for a calm, loving adult-only home that will continue his care, maintain his training, and cherish the incredible soul he is. If you’re looking for a devoted companion with an inspiring story and endless love to give, Hugo may just be your perfect match.

These puppies were not wanted, Both parents were not fixed and got pregnant! Owners made the decision to give them to us instead of the shelter. They are two months old. They need a foster home and cannot be adopted until they are neutered or spayed. If you would like to be a foster or foster to adopt, please fill out our application. They will have their first round of vaccinations, and we will keep up with the rest. They will need a home willing to train and teach them about being wonderful dogs!

Star was an owner surrendered after having a litter of 4 puppies at such young age. She was leaving outdoors full of ticks and fleas. She just got spayed and microchiped. She is full of puppy energy and loves to run and play. She is not destructive. She is very affectionate and loves kisses. She is learning to walk on a leash. She is new to us and we are learning about her personality. She has been around dogs and lots of humans. She will be a great cuddle best friend for a good family!
