Meet Oreo! He is a 11 month old terrier/poodle mix weighing 12 pounds. He is a sweet boy who is shy initially but once he comes out of his shell, he blossoms.  In his foster home he likes to play hard and nap hard. Oreo is a smart, loving pup with the softest hair.  He is highly food motivated and will learn just about anything for a treat!  Currently he is working on his commands and learning to let his foster family know when he has to go potty.  Oreo will do well with just about any type of family who will give him the  confidence to continue being the best dog he can be .  If you are interested in adopting, please visit the I.C.A.R.E. I am timid but sweet once I get to know you, I am very shy. I live with other dogs at the rescue, so I am ok with dogs, again it takes me some time to trust. I have been with rescue a long time because I suffer from some type of doggie vertigo and get car sick really easy, I always have since I was a puppy, so its hard for most families who enjoy taking their pup traveling. Its better now than it was when I was little but I still am nervous in the car. I need a loving patient family to open their hearts and home to allow me time to get to know you... Could that be you?? I was rescued from Lancaster, our humans didn't want us babies and gave us away and kept my Mama (Chihuahua) and Daddy (Maltese). I had siblings but they gave them away to other people instead of the rescue... Hi, my name is Emily, and I’m a 13 year old Maltese with a heart full of love! I was found as a stray and ended up in a high kill shelter, but I.C.A.R.E. saved me and gave me a second chance at life. I was lucky enough to be adopted when I was 6 years old, and now I’m hoping to find another loving family to cherish me through my golden years. I absolutely adore people, including children, and I bond quickly because all I really want is to be loved. I’m a faithful little companion who will happily follow you from room to room, keep your lap warm, and shower you with cuddles and affection. I love being close to my special person and will gladly be your little shadow! I get along with other dogs and enjoy encouraging them to play with me. I’ve also made friends with my foster family’s cats and figured out pretty quickly that they’re wonderful company, too!
