Aspen is 1 of 6 litter mates turned in at the shelter when he was almost 1 year old. They did not have much socialization with humans and he is working hard to trust and bond with is foster mom. Aspen has very beautiful and distinctive coloring, white with a pink nose and pale eyes. He is gentle but still quite shy and will do best in a home with another dog to help him with his confidence. He is doing well with house training but still needs supervision. He is not suitable for a home with small children as he is still working on his confidence and house training' Aspens adoption Fee is $325. Story
Pickles was turned into the shelter along with 8 others - including many of his littermates. They were not well socialized with humans but opened up a little every day and are doing well with humans and other dogs in the home. Pickles has turned out to be the most adventurous, the first to try something new. His interaction with his foster mom is getting better every day. He is doing well with house traing and crate training and bravely tackling leash walking. Pickles is not suitable with small children as he is still building confidense and learning to be brave. Story
When I first came to Act2Pups back in October of 24 I was pretty shy. Today I enjoy other pups at rescue. My shyness was due to spending a lot of time in boarding before I came to rescue. I was a little reactive to getting picked up but my groomer didn't have any issues, as you see in the photo. I enjoy being petted and I'll sit on your lap so I've got a cuddle gene in me! Patience will be the key word when interacting with me, and it will be well worth it because I'm a loyal little fellow. I'm almost 9 years old so I've got a long future ahead. I'm ready, won't you give me a chance.

Story
    HI Everyone! I have had a wild couple of weeks.  I got very sick and had to go to the vet where they said I needed emergency surgery.  My family was unable to afford this but Angels came to the rescue. I felt pretty bad after these big changes.  It was very hard being at the vet for several days and I was mighty scared.   Then I went to a foster home.  It took a couple of days there but now I am a happy loving dog who knows when he has it good!   I am probably a maltese/poodle mix. I am a little over 3 years old and weigh about 14 pounds. People say I look bigger but those are my stats.  I absolutely adore my person - I am a totally velcro dog whose favorite place is to be is on my person. I may bark at a new person but I just want to make friends.   My foster has 3 other small dogs and they are ok but it would be nice to have a home with no other dogs too. I am learning lots of new manners here so I will  be the best dog ever.     I am very good in a crate at night and when my foster goes out.  I have learned to enjoy kibble again and gobble it down. I would love a yard as I do like to explore. I am going to go out on leash walks soon and I think I will do pretty good with that too. I am even ok going out in the rain!   I would probably like a fairly quiet home without constant coming and going.  You must love being touched or being laid on.
