Bailey  is a 2.5 year-old Maltese mix .  He was surrendered  because  his owner  was not prepared for the energy of a young puppy .  He is all legs and is still like a gangly Colt at this point.  He's very kissy and huggable once he gets to know you,  but he also has lots of energy and so will need a fenced-in backyard.  Bailey is not good with children, so he would be best in a home with adults and no kids under 13.  He weighs 15 pounds. He is house trained (not perfect) and crate trained. Alcovy dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines, up to date on heart-worm preventative and flea preventative and micro-chipped. FOSTER (OR ADOPTIVE) HOME NEEDED ATLANTA METRO AREA ONLY Kobe - Young, 1 y.o. Maltese Mix Kobe came to us after some apathetic, pathetic person/people left him in a crate outside a Vet's office in the rain.  When found at clinic opening time, the little guy was in an emaciated state (bones sticking out)  covered in his own excrement, matted fur, and fleas!  He was pretty traumatized!  What animal wouldn't be after that?!    We do NOT understand how anyone can do this - EVER! We were asked to take him into our program, and without any hesitation, we absolutely did! He's been in the Clinic's care for 3 weeks and is doing extremely well (health wise).  No bones showing (has gained ~3-4# already - is 9.4# presently); has had two grooms; was negative for heartworm and fecal; all vaccines done, neutered, and microchipped. Kobee is an absolute doll!!  He IS a velcro dog so if you want that, he's your guy.  Little Kobe is so sweet, so friendly, and sooooo playful - even right after being neutered!  You'd never know, by his behavior, this traumatizing event affected him!  Amazing! This little guy is full of life and love, and enjoys the company of his brother Ace. These two lifelong buddies ended up at an overcrowded shelter together, and we would love for them to be adopted as a pair. Max loves to receive attention, and his favorite place to be is in your lap! Although he is older, that doesn&#39t slow him down - he loves to play with toys, wrestle with his bigger brother, and run around in his fenced yard. He is house broken, knows his basic commands, and has wonderful leash manners. Max&#39s brother Ace is a beautiful Siberian Husky. He is very smart, sweet, and is dog and kid friendly. I was a matted, sickly mess when I was rescued in FL, then I ended up in AL and have now made my way to Woodstock, GA with Act2Pups. My vetting and medical history so far; I’ve had 23 teeth extracted and when I was shaved down a lump was found on my back right leg but it’s gone now and nothing to worry about. My left eye is shrunk, but I see just fine. I am also up to date on my vaccines. I'm 12 years young, weigh 8 1/2 pounds and still have pep in my step. I get along fine with all the other senior dogs at rescue and I'd love to be in a home where I'm never locked in a crate again. I'm very loving and will shower my person with lots of affection and gratitude.

This little nugget is Tango! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 4/4, and no one has come to reclaim him. Poor Tango came in a matted mess. It was so bad he had to be sedated to shave him down. Tango is sweet, but still very scared in the shelter. He is head shy, so he'll need someone understanding, gentle, and willing to give him time and space to learn and trust. Tango is approximately 5 years old, and he weighs 14 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Please come meet Tango in run 515; his ID # is 655682.
