Little pup seeking the back of your recliner or couch to share. Introducing Teddy, a 2 ½ year old, 7-8 pound, Morkie (Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier cross) with a silky, soft coat requiring routine grooming. Teddy needed a few months to decompress and settle into foster care so we could get to know him and help him secure his forever home. This little guy’s personality is more like that of a Terrier; he’s independent, knows what he likes and doesn’t like, is playful, and loving to his people. Teddy does not trust people right away and will require time to adjust to the adopter. Teddy came to our rescue after his owner fled her home because of domestic violence issues. Understandably, he requires a very calm home, without children, and a patient, understanding adopter.  As you could maybe tell from the opening sentence, one of Teddy’s favorite places to lay is on the back of his foster mom’s recliner chair. He enjoys overseeing the activities of the house’s other dogs from his perch, having a good cuddle, as well as sleeping under his blanket. Teddy’s foster home has several small dogs in the home and he really enjoys playing tug and chase with them.   Teddy has some emotional scars from the life he lived prior to rescue, but he has made a lot of progress these past several months. We are hoping that you are that special person willing to give this boy a chance to become your best buddy. He deserves a wonderful new life. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Must have a securely fenced yard, and an adult only household. This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, provided inoculations, dewormed, groomed, tested for diseases, neutered, and microchipped. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS need to be requested from acaringplace@comcast.net   Our online application is not working properly. A Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. All dogs and puppies live in foster homes, providing you as the adopter, with information on the animal's behaviors, needs, and requirements. Ebony and Ivory are a bonded pair looking for a forever home together.Ebony (14 lbs.) and Ivory (8 lbs.) were local strays. They were in terrible shape when found and horribly matted. Now that these sweet girls are safe with AHF, they`re looking and feeling so much better. Ivory loves to cuddle, and Ebony is more playful but loves cuddling too. They`re both very loving. We think Ivory is a maltese mix and Ebony may be a schnauzer/shih tzu mix. Both girls walk on leash. They do not get crated when their foster leaves the house and do fine confined to a large room. They get along with the other dogs in their foster home and have been friendly with kids they`ve met at adoption events. Ebony seems potty trained and Ivory is mostly; she`ll sometimes use potty pads if they`re out for other pups.If you have room in your heart and home for Ebony and Ivory, please fill out an application so you can meet them and learn more.
