**PENDING ADOPTION** Snowy is a 2-year-old Maltese mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for people. She is truly a “people dog” who adores her humans and also enjoys playing with other dogs. Snowy is spunky and energetic, especially when it’s time to play, but she also loves being close to her person and taking cozy naps on the couch or in her comfy bed. She is completely house-trained and is currently eating three meals a day to help her put on a little weight. She’s very smart and already picking up basic commands. Snowy would benefit greatly from puppy obedience classes to continue building her skills and confidence. While she isn’t fully leash-trained yet due to the cold weather, she walks nicely alongside her fosters and is expected to catch on quickly. Snowy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. Snowy is a sweet, affectionate girl who would make a wonderful companion in a loving home. Meet Lilly! I am a gentle soul with a heart full of love. I am very sweet and love belly rubs and treats. I weigh 10 lbs and love to go on walks. I do get excited and “talk” to other dogs on walks. Don’t they know this is my neighborhood and they aren’t allowed to walk in it too?! Due to my excitement, my foster mom thinks I’d do best in a home where I’m the only dog and get alllllll the attention. My favorite place to be is on my humans lap, being held and watching tv. Yes, TV! Let’s meet and talk about our favorite shows to watch. I can’t wait to be our couch buddy. My foster mom says I also love to keep her company while she works and I’m the best co- worker and let her work while I snooze, dreaming of my forever family finding me. I am about 3-1/2 years old and I’m told I’m a Yorkie-Maltese mix. Which equates to an adorable little bundle of pure happiness. I am housebroken and crate trained. But I only go in the crate when no one is home or to sleep overnight. If there are any kids in my forever home, I prefer them to be 10 or older. Lilly is available to adopt in the Chicagoland area and is being fostered in a home. Appointments to visit her will be set up for approved adopters only. Little pup seeking the back of your recliner or couch to share. Introducing Teddy, a 2 ½ year old, 7-8 pound, Morkie (Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier cross) with a silky, soft coat requiring routine grooming. Teddy needed a few months to decompress and settle into foster care so we could get to know him and help him secure his forever home. This little guy’s personality is more like that of a Terrier; he’s independent, knows what he likes and doesn’t like, is playful, and loving to his people. Teddy does not trust people right away and will require time to adjust to the adopter. Teddy came to our rescue after his owner fled her home because of domestic violence issues. Understandably, he requires a very calm home, without children, and a patient, understanding adopter. As you could maybe tell from the opening sentence, one of Teddy’s favorite places to lay is on the back of his foster mom’s recliner chair. He enjoys overseeing the activities of the house’s other dogs from his perch, having a good cuddle, as well as sleeping under his blanket. Teddy’s foster home has several small dogs in the home and he really enjoys playing tug and chase with them. Teddy has some emotional scars from the life he lived prior to rescue, but he has made a lot of progress these past several months. We are hoping that you are that special person willing to give this boy a chance to become your best buddy. He deserves a wonderful new life.
