Meet Lilly! I am an active and energetic girl that will need a young family to love me for years to come. I am a gentle soul with a heart full of love. I am very sweet and love belly rubs and treats. I weigh 10 lbs and love to go on walks. I do get excited and “talk” to other dogs on walks. Don’t they know this is my neighborhood and they aren’t allowed to walk in it too?! Due to my excitement, my foster mom thinks I’d do best in a home where I’m the only dog and get alllllll the attention. My favorite place to be is on my humans lap, being held and watching tv. Yes, TV! Let’s meet and talk about our favorite shows to watch. I can’t wait to be our couch buddy. My foster mom says I also love to keep her company while she works and I’m the best co- worker and let her work while I snooze, dreaming of my forever family finding me. I am about 3-1/2 years old and I’m told I’m a Yorkie-Maltese mix. Which equates to an adorable little bundle of pure happiness. I am housebroken and crate trained. But I only go in the crate when no one is home or to sleep overnight. If there are any kids in my forever home, I prefer them to be 10 or older. Lilly is available to adopt in the Chicagoland area and is being fostered in a home. Appointments to visit her will be set up for approved adopters only. Adoption fee is $400.00 which includes all age appropriate vaccines, and she is already spayed and microchipped. Little pup seeking the back of your recliner or couch to share. Introducing Teddy, a 2 ½ year old, 7-8 pound, Morkie (Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier cross) with a silky, soft coat requiring routine grooming. Teddy needed a few months to decompress and settle into foster care so we could get to know him and help him secure his forever home. This little guy’s personality is more like that of a Terrier; he’s independent, knows what he likes and doesn’t like, is playful, and loving to his people. Teddy does not trust people right away and will require time to adjust to the adopter. Teddy came to our rescue after his owner fled her home because of domestic violence issues. Understandably, he requires a very calm home, without children, and a patient, understanding adopter. As you could maybe tell from the opening sentence, one of Teddy’s favorite places to lay is on the back of his foster mom’s recliner chair. He enjoys overseeing the activities of the house’s other dogs from his perch, having a good cuddle, as well as sleeping under his blanket. Teddy’s foster home has several small dogs in the home and he really enjoys playing tug and chase with them. Teddy has some emotional scars from the life he lived prior to rescue, but he has made a lot of progress these past several months. We are hoping that you are that special person willing to give this boy a chance to become your best buddy. He deserves a wonderful new life. We recently took in four dogs from an overcrowding situation, a home that just had way to many dogs! We are totally guessing at the breed(s) that may be involved in this crew, lol. I can see Maltese, perhaps some sort of terrier, maybe even a little bit of Chihuahua? Who knows, but we do know they are just adorable. The little family had been at a shelter for a time and were just not settling in, they were terrified. Yes, they were safe and warm, and cared for. But, despite that, it was not home, whatever that may have been. We are happy to say they are doing great on their foster home, they settled in very well being back in a home situation. That happened quicker than expected, within the first day they were anxious to be picked up and snuggled on a warm lap. They all love their toys, snuggly beds and quick trips out in this bitter cold. They are doing well with their house training. We do use potty pads and they will use them in between outdoor breaks. They are also shy meeting new people, it is a big new world out here and they need a little patience. So, we are looking for very loving, patient people that understand these guys need a little extra TLC, as far as settling in and continued reinforcement on the potty training. Their coats are in the process of healing as well, very common in such situations. Some of the had a bit of thinner hair that should soon fill in nicely in a more healthy situation. Lil Jelly Roll is a sweet, loving, active and snuggly guy. You would never know that he had ever had a rough day in his life. Of the four dogs that came from the crowded situation, he is the most outgoing and social. If there is a lap to be had in the house, Jelly will gladly warm it for you!! He is terrific with the other dogs and is a very gentle boy, he wants a family to love and appreciate all that he has to offer. We think he is pretty fantastic!! He is doing well with his potty training, and loves being outside running and playing. He will do well in a home that has tons of time to spend with him, another dog or two would be great!
