Little pup seeking the back of your recliner or couch to share. Introducing Teddy, a 2 ½ year old, 7-8 pound, Morkie (Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier cross) with a silky, soft coat requiring routine grooming. Teddy needed a few months to decompress and settle into foster care so we could get to know him and help him secure his forever home. This little guy’s personality is more like that of a Terrier; he’s independent, knows what he likes and doesn’t like, is playful, and loving to his people. Teddy does not trust people right away and will require time to adjust to the adopter. Teddy came to our rescue after his owner fled her home because of domestic violence issues. Understandably, he requires a very calm home, without children, and a patient, understanding adopter. As you could maybe tell from the opening sentence, one of Teddy’s favorite places to lay is on the back of his foster mom’s recliner chair. He enjoys overseeing the activities of the house’s other dogs from his perch, having a good cuddle, as well as sleeping under his blanket. Teddy’s foster home has several small dogs in the home and he really enjoys playing tug and chase with them. Teddy has some emotional scars from the life he lived prior to rescue, but he has made a lot of progress these past several months. We are hoping that you are that special person willing to give this boy a chance to become your best buddy. He deserves a wonderful new life. This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, provided inoculations, dewormed, groomed, tested for diseases, neutered, and microchipped. Ebony and Ivory are a bonded pair looking for a forever home together.Ebony (14 lbs.) and Ivory (8 lbs.) were local strays. They were in terrible shape when found and horribly matted. Now that these sweet girls are safe with AHF, they`re looking and feeling so much better. Ivory loves to cuddle, and Ebony is more playful but loves cuddling too. They`re both very loving. We think Ivory is a maltese mix and Ebony may be a schnauzer/shih tzu mix. Both girls walk on leash. They do not get crated when their foster leaves the house and do fine confined to a large room. They get along with the other dogs in their foster home and have been friendly with kids they`ve met at adoption events. Ebony seems potty trained and Ivory is mostly; she`ll sometimes use potty pads if they`re out for other pups.If you have room in your heart and home for Ebony and Ivory, please fill out an application so you can meet them and learn more. Popcorn is about 18 lbs., 15 years old and according to Google lens, a West highland terrier. Animal Care Services thought he was a Maltese mix and foster mom thinks he could be a Schnauzer/Maltese mix but knows for sure that he is the cutest scruffy EVER! His journey hasn't been all snuggles and treats as he lived on someone's apartment patio for years, lying in poop, grass and other debris until Animal Care Services came for him and God's Dogs Rescue was able to save the little scamp. While he still loves his humans, other gentle pups his size (cats unknown) and his squishy toys and chewy, understandably he has a few emotional scars especially regarding vet visits and grooming. Slow, patient progress in these areas has helped him be more confident, but will need a patient adopter to help him adapt. Things that make Popcorn super happy are spending time with his humans after he gets to know them, car rides and walks in the park. He loves, loves his squishy toys and generally carries one around with him. His most favorite game is for his person to chase him and pretend to take his squishy away. He also like to run zooms and if there isn't a person to play with he will often throw his toys for himself. Doesn't that just make you want to throw his stuffies so he can play?? He's a healthy guy for his age with just a few old man issues (beginnings of cataracts) that he takes supplements for and should continue taking. His liver enzymes were high when tested but he is on a med to help them normalize. Can you give this boy the right lap to live in?? He needs very patient/knowledgeable adopters, no children- adult only because he will bite if afraid... It is a work in progress but he is becoming the goofy boy he was meant to be while living on the nasty hot and freezing porch for most of his 14 yrs :( GIVE HIM A CHANCE!!!
