Krissy is a sweet young Maltese who came from a breeder. She is 3 1/2 years old and weights 7.4 lbs. Krissy is shy at first. But, once she trusts you, she’ll follow you everywhere and want to be with you. She gets along with other dogs. Krissy will walk on a leash and go potty outside but is not completely house trained. She would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Krissy needs a calm and loving home with people who will give her time to blossom. No young children please. -Spayed -Current on shots -Heartworm negative -Microchipped -Dental cleaning done If adopted out of state a transport fee of $205 and health certificate fee to the vet of $110 will be added to her adoption fee. Introducing Jasper! 🐾😍 Jasper is a charming 5-year-old, 9-lb Maltese mix with the softest scruffy coat and the sweetest soul. This little guy is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than snuggling up with his people. He’s also a fan of car rides and adventures, making him a great companion for both cozy days and outings alike. Jasper can be a bit shy when he first meets new people, but once he warms up, his loving personality truly shines. He does well with cats and other dogs and would thrive in a home with another canine companion to help him feel confident and comfortable. Jasper would do best in a home with older children. He is crate trained, housebroken, neutered, and fully vaccinated — all ready to settle into his forever home. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate little buddy with a big heart, Jasper may be your perfect match. 💙🐶 RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. OB 5-12-2019 Elias is a retired puppy mill worker, he was stuck in a cage for 5 years of his life from the time he was born. When he came he was so thin, his teeth were totally rotten and he couldn't eat. Well that was his old life, not his new life! Elias has been neutered, all teeth had to be removed, he was heartworm negative and is now on ProHeart6, up to date on all shots and has become a little on the porky side! Elias would love to have his own home now, something he never had hopes of is a reality for him now. Elias is crate trained, gets along with other little dogs, would love to be loved by someone who knew how special he is. Elias's adoption fee is 500.00, this transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, the only one we use for our kids! The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. Story
Rosa is ready to roll into her new home! This scruffy pup is 7 years old and 14 pounds. She was found earlier this year as a stray in Central Falls, unable to use her hind legs. After her rescue, Rosa underwent a spay and had several benign mammary tumors removed. X-rays revealed a hemangioma inside her spinal cord. She's undergone months of massages, laser therapy, and daily range-of-motion exercises to improve her leg's circulation, but spinal surgery is risky and may not restore her mobility. Rosa now uses a custom wheelchair to keep her hind legs active with the support of a cart. Rosa loves her wheelchair and is always happy to go on stroller rides. She enjoys being held for her leg massages, though we recommended using a blanket when picking her up. Rosa has been living with over a dozen other dogs while in our care. She can be protective of her toys and likes her alone time, so a docile companion would be best. Taking on a paralyzed dog may be a little more work, but it is definitely so rewarding.
