Story
Eileen is a gentle 3-year-old apricot Maltese/Miniature Poodle blend who's discovering life beyond the puppy mill with quiet courage and a lot of heart. Though she was born with differences in her back legs-one hind foot is a small pad-and-toe, the other a pad-only stump-she moves comfortably, plays happily, and doesn't let anything slow her down. Her vet recommends a soft boot on the stump for outdoor protection and support (it can come off inside the home), plus joint supplements such as Cosequin, UbaVet Power MEG, or general omega fish oils, and keeping her at a lean weight to protect her joints. Eileen is a good eater who enjoys being part of the family. She's allowed on furniture in her foster home, though she appreciates a little help getting up and going down stairs. She's crate trained, working on house training (with occasional accidents), and not yet obedience trained-but she's eager to learn in a calm, encouraging environment. Personality-wise, Eileen is playful yet shy, warming up as her confidence grows. She likes both men and women, gets along well with other dogs (male and female), and is good with children under 6 (untested with older children). She's curious but cautious with new situations and strangers, and may bark at unfamiliar noises or when someone is at the door. With patience and reassurance, she's learning to trust the wider world and truly enjoys playing with other dogs once she feels safe. Eileen will thrive in a patient, adult-led home with a secure fenced yard where she can explore at her own pace. Her perfect family will commit to ongoing socialization, keep up with joint supplements and boot use as advised, and celebrate small victories as she gains confidence. In return, she offers loyal companionship, sweet affection, and the kind of resilience that inspires everyone around her. If you can offer kindness, consistency, and a safe space to grow, Eileen is ready to bloom. Interested in becoming part of Eileen's next chapter? Fill out an application form. Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip. All dogs will be started on a 6 week trial of pet insurance after adoption. Local adopters can take advantage of 50% off a training course at Ruff Haus in Barrie (www.ruffhaus.ca) and all adopters will also be signed up for Petcademy to offer 30 days of free text-based behavioural support. Please visit our website www.preciouspawsrescue.ca to submit an adoption application.

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Cheonjin Age: About 3 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Maltipoo Color: White Weight: 9kg / 19.8lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me a second chance and the opportunity to begin again. Now, I’m looking forward to a brighter chapter filled with love, companionship, and a forever family of my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Cheonjin! I’m an irresistibly cute little dog with a wonderfully chunky build, a big face, oversized paws, and surprisingly short legs. Put it all together and I have the kind of proportions that make people stop and smile. I’m currently sporting a shorter haircut, but my coat looks like it will grow in much fuller and fluffier—I’m going to become even more handsome once it does. My personality is every bit as lovable as my appearance. I’m sweet and affectionate with people, friendly with other dogs, and naturally easygoing. I enjoy affection and have plenty of charm, but my overall energy is comfortable and well-balanced. I’m the kind of dog my rescuers describe as genuinely easy to care for: gentle, stable, adaptable, and happy to go along with everyday life. There is one thing about me that definitely isn’t small: my voice! I’m a bit of a talker, and thanks to my broad chest, I can produce a surprisingly impressive bark for my compact body. If the other dogs start barking, I may join the conversation. If I spot something interesting outside, I may announce it. And if there’s something I particularly want, I’m not above using my voice to make my opinion known. The funny part is that I usually have a lot to say—but not necessarily for very long. Rather than barking endlessly, I’m more likely to deliver a decisive little announcement and then move on with my day. I have the big paws, short legs, fluffy potential, affectionate personality, and booming little voice to make me memorable—but underneath all that cuteness is simply a very good-natured, easygoing dog. I’d love a family who appreciates a companion with a little personality and a lot of sweetness, because I’m more than ready to bring both into my forever home.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m naturally friendly and affectionate with people, and I’m happy to approach both familiar faces and new people for attention. I enjoy leaning in for affection and am comfortable being petted—even with someone I’ve just met, I may happily roll over and show my belly! I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I tend to be easygoing in my interactions, and if another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to move away and avoid conflict. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I have plenty of walking experience and good leash manners, following my person well without pulling.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel. I may bark when I see someone unfamiliar or use a little demand barking when there’s something I want, but with consistent guidance and positive training, I can continue learning calmer ways to communicate and respond to new people. I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors. When I first arrive in a new environment, I may mark as I get familiar with my surroundings, but with time, a consistent routine, and regular potty breaks, I can become more comfortable and settled in my new space.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES When I first arrive in a new environment, I may mark as I get familiar with my surroundings. With time, a consistent routine, and regular potty breaks, I can become more comfortable and settled in my new space.    CHEONJIN'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2838977##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Kkaedol Age: 8 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Maltese Color: White Weight: 3 kg / 6.6 lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I once had a forever home and a caretaker who loved and cared for me. Unfortunately, my caretaker’s health suddenly declined, and they could no longer give me the care and attention I deserved. Wanting the best for me, the difficult decision was made to find me a new loving home. Although saying goodbye to the life I knew wasn’t easy, I’m ready to begin a new chapter. I already know how wonderful it feels to be part of a family, and now I’m hoping to find another special person who will welcome me into their heart and give me a safe, loving home for the rest of my life.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues I have a slightly longer tongue, so you may catch it adorably peeking out from time to time! It doesn’t cause me any discomfort or affect my daily life in any way. It’s simply one of my cute little features that makes me uniquely me.   MY PERSONALITY My previous family loved me and truly wanted the best for me. Unfortunately, when my caretaker’s health significantly declined, they had to make the difficult decision to find me a new home where I could continue receiving all the love and care I deserve. Having my whole world suddenly change has been a big adjustment, but I’m handling it beautifully. I’m a healthy, affectionate boy who absolutely loves people, and even in a completely new environment, I happily follow everyone around looking for pets, attention, and companionship. During my profile photoshoot, I even kept climbing onto one of the staff members’ backs because apparently I decided I deserved a piggyback ride! I may be starting over, but my loving and trusting personality hasn’t changed. I already know what it means to be part of a family, and I’m ready to find someone special to share that love with again.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m super friendly with people and love greeting everyone I meet! I happily soak up pets, affection, and attention and am always excited to make a new human friend. I’m comfortable being picked up and held, and once I feel at ease with you, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly for some extra love and belly rubs. · With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dogs and making friends, but I’m definitely more of a people’s pup at heart! I prefer to take my time rather than jumping straight into play and am perfectly happy doing my own thing. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely, making me an enjoyable walking companion. I also have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I don’t currently show signs of separation anxiety, but because I’m such a people oriented boy who forms strong bonds, I may become deeply attached to my forever family. Continuing to encourage healthy independence from the beginning will help me feel secure and confident even when my favourite people aren’t right beside me. I’m also a quiet boy who rarely barks and already know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel. Despite all the recent changes in my life, I’m adjusting beautifully and showing everyone what a sweet and adaptable companion I can be.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I’m an incredibly sweet and affectionate boy who simply loves being around people. Even though my whole world has recently changed, I’ve handled everything with such a gentle and trusting heart. I happily follow people around, seek out pets and affection, and just want to be included in whatever my humans are doing. During my profile photoshoot, I even kept climbing onto a staff member’s back for a piggyback ride! I already have so many wonderful qualities for home life. I walk nicely on leash, rarely bark, settle calmly in my kennel, and have excellent manners around food. Most importantly, I already know what it means to love and be loved by a family. My previous family wanted the very best for me, and now the volunteers and staff want the same. They’re especially hopeful that I’ll find a loving home where I can spend my senior years surrounded by comfort, companionship, and all the affection I deserve. I may be an older gentleman, but I still have so much love to give and so many happy memories left to make with my new family.   KKAEDOL'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2828490##

QUICK FACTS Name: Ddangkong Age: 1 year and a half Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Maltipoo Color: Brown, White Weight: 3.5kg / 7.7lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I ended up at a city pound after what appeared to be a long period of neglect. When I arrived, my fur was severely matted, making it clear that I hadn’t received the proper care and attention I deserved. Thankfully, rescuers found me and brought me to safety. My difficult days are behind me now, and I’m finally getting the care and love I had been missing for so long. Now I’m ready for a fresh start and a forever family who will make sure I always feel safe, cared for, and loved.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m a super cute, tiny Maltipoo with a huge love for people! Being around humans brings me so much comfort, and I’m happiest when I can stay close to the volunteers and staff. You’ll often find me following them around just so I can be part of whatever they’re doing. I also have a great appetite and am eager to learn, which will make continuing my training a lot of fun. I’m a sweet little companion who finds comfort in simply being near my people, and I can’t wait to have a family of my own to follow around every day.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m incredibly friendly with people and absolutely love receiving pets and affection! I’m happiest when I can be close to my humans and soak up all the love and attention they have to give. I’m also comfortable being picked up and held, making it easy for me to stay close to my favourite people. With my gentle, affectionate nature, I’m a little companion who simply loves being loved. · With Dogs: I’m friendly with other dogs and enjoy saying hello to new canine friends, but I’m definitely more on the independent side. After greeting them, I usually prefer wandering off and doing my own thing rather than joining in lots of play. What can I say? I’m a bit of an introvert! I’m perfectly happy sharing my space with other dogs, but I don’t need constant interaction to feel content. · With Cats: I previously lived with a cat for about a week while staying in temporary foster care and did well sharing my home with them. With proper introductions and a respectful feline friend, I may adjust nicely to living with a cat in my forever home too!   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still working on perfecting my leash manners and may pull at times, but overall I follow my handler’s lead nicely. I also have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I may occasionally bark when I’m looking for attention, but otherwise I’m a pretty quiet boy. I get attached to people easily and find a lot of comfort in being close to my humans. Because I crave companionship so much, I may be prone to developing separation anxiety, so my future family should help me build confidence and independence from the beginning. Gradually teaching me that alone time is safe and okay will help me become a more secure and confident boy. I’m still learning how to settle calmly in my kennel and will benefit from continued positive practice. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. With patience, consistency, and a regular routine, I should continue making great progress.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Ideally, a family that is home often or work from home   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a little boy who truly craves human companionship and finds so much comfort in being close to people. You’ll often find me following the volunteers and staff around because being near my humans is simply where I feel happiest. Everyone at the care facility wants nothing more than to see me find the loving home I’ve been waiting for. After everything I’ve been through, I still have so much trust and affection to give. I know my family is out there somewhere. I’m ready to leave my past behind, give you all the love in my little heart, and finally have someone of my own to follow around every day.   DDANGKONG'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   ADOPTION INFORMATION • Adoption Fee: $950.00USD/CAD   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2844339##
