Story
I adopted Niko when he was only 6months old. He is the most lovable, fun, smart doggie you will meet. I am so sad that I have to find a new home for him because of my own health issues. He is 13 now but still acts like a puppy. He has absolutely no health issues. I’ve taken very good care of him his whole life. I walk him 2-3 times a day. He eats high quality kibble. He’s friendly with dogs and cats and loves going to the dog park. He’s great with everyone young and old and loves attention! He loves to sleep in the bed with me. He love cuddles and treats. He uses the doggie door to go outside to pee and poop. He is also trained to use the pee pee pad when needed. He will be your best bud.

Story
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION INTRODUCING TATUM....a little creamy white, 14 lb, female, 6-7 yr old Maltipoo, who hailed from the East Valley Shelter. This little girl was dumped in the shelter by her humans when they couldnt afford to pay for her mammary tumor surgery. Likely, they used her for breeding and sold her puppies. They should have used some of that money to get her surgery! We got the biopsy results and even though our vet got good margins and is hopeful it has not metastasized, our little Tatum has Mammary Cancer and will be undergoing Chemo. We are doing further testing. While we dont know her life prognosis, were going to fight like hell for her! Shes still a young dog and has a lot of life in her!!! Tatum is extremely sweet but a little head shy and timid at first. Our opinion is she hasnt gotten a lot of socialization (she seems to be very curious about other dogs and interested in meeting them). Her incision was extremely long, so she has been kept quiet while healing Suffice it to say, Tatum is happy and seems ready to go and play!! She is good on a walk and does her business sometime in motion! The one thing we have realized is she does not like being left behind or alone, so another dog or humans who are around a lot would be ideal. She will whine until you pay attention to her, so she is one who wants lots and lots of love. Also, a yard would be great to finalize her potty training!! In the car, she wants to drive or just be close to you. She will give you gentle kisses to know she appreciates you. She was great at the groomers and is a cuddler once she gets to know you. Respectful, older kids (8+) would be great. She will need a little time to acclimate and patience so that she can fully blossom. Is this a flower you could plant in your home! Shes waiting. **Tatum will be available for a foster or fospice, whichever the case may be. If you want to help this girl, let us know. Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We will contact you once it has been reviewed. Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Our event is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring pictures or video of your home and yard if we have not done a home check (preferred)! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting! Story
Meet Sadie & Mabel — A Sweet Bonded Pair Looking for Their Forever Home! Sadie and Mabel are two adorable cream-colored Maltipoo girls who are as devoted to each other as they are to the people around them. These affectionate little pups are searching for a forever family willing to open their hearts and home to both of them together.Mabel (11 lbs, approximately 9 months old) and Sadie (10 lbs, approximately 1 year old) are playful, loving companions who get along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children. They have the perfect balance of bouncy puppy energy and cuddle-bug charm. Whether they're playing with toys, following you around the house, or curling up beside you for a nap, these girls simply want to be part of whatever their humans are doing.Mabel is especially fond of stuffed toys and has an adorable habit of digging little holes to "hide" her favorite treasures and bones for later. Sadie is a bit more mature and is already house-trained, while Mabel is still learning the ropes. Both girls are currently working on leash training and do well in a crate when their foster is away for several hours. These sweet pups are spayed, up to date on vaccines, and have curly hypoallergenic cream hair. They are currently sporting short haircuts after arriving at the shelter with matted coats, giving them the cutest little lamb-like appearance. What truly makes Sadie and Mabel special is the bond they share. They love each other deeply, find comfort in one another, and thrive as a pair. Because of their close connection, we are hoping to find a family willing to adopt them together so they can continue their journey side by side.If you're looking for double the love, double the snuggles, and double the joy, Sadie and Mabel may be the perfect addition to your family.

Story
Paco is an adorable 5-year-old who celebrates his birthday on December 12. We were gifted Paco into our family during the COVID pandemic. He grew up with our older Maltese dog, and he’s usually friendly towards small dogs. However, he has been attacked by a larger dog and tends to avoid them. Paco is a loving lap dog who thrives on attention. He enjoys bringing his ball along on walks; although he can be energetic and reactive at times, having his ball helps him feel at ease. He's my grandmother's dog but she is no longer in a position to take care of him. Looking for someone who is patience and loving for Paco.

Story
Daisy is a lovely almost two year old Maltipoo who was dumped at a Los Angeles city animal shelter by her owner with horribly matted and damaged fur and encrusted eyes, fearful and scared and snapping to defend herself and barking to appear strong. She is also very underweight underneath all that matted fur. We can only imagine what she must have been through. Currently Daisy is being assessed and treated by the vet and will be examined, get a fecal, urinalysis, blood test, be clipped and groomed and cleaned and her eyes medicated until they heal. She will also be handled and rehabilitated so she won't be afraid anymore and try to bite to defend herself. New photos coming soon. Story
SIMON – Help & Sponsorship SIMON is a Maltipoo. A very sad story.... his mom lost her house due to foreclosure and brought him into the city shelter. She was crying and he was crying when she left him there. He was with his human mom since he was a small pup and is very sweet. SIMON is not so good with children or young teenagers. He has a little pink on his nose, loves to be held, and he needs a calm environment. He is very sweet, but very shy and timid. We have discovered that, like so many small pups abandoned at the pounds, Simon has not had any veterinary check-ups—possibly ever—no tooth exams, anal or ear exams, or blood panels or urinalysis done. So he needs lots of veterinary work and diagnostics. He is neutered however and current on his vaccinations. For more information about SIMON, and if you or someone you know would like to help, please contact: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our PayPal donation email address for donations and sponsorships.)
