I have been with my mommy since I was 3 months old and now that my mommy and I are both seniors we each need to be taken care of by extended villages. I recently lost my eyesight, and my mommy can no longer carry me up and down the stairs and everywhere I want to explore, but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying life, not one bit. Recently I went to the vet and was told I am a very healthy senior dog with all of my immunizations up to date. I am looking for a forever home to live out the rest of my senior years

ONE YEAR AT SHELTER HOPE, NOT ONE SINGLE INQUIRY Simmba doesn't deserve to spend the rest of his life in a rescue. He might be a "project dog," but he's a boy with a huge heart and so much love to give.  He was surrendered to us the day after Christmas back in 2024. Sadly, his owner kept him outside in their yard where, as the children grew older, he received less and less attention. Simmba is a 3-year-old Poodle mix who loves racing and rolling through the grass and soaking up the sun on his favorite bench. Inside, he keeps his lammy toy close and can't resist showering his person with enthusiastic face kisses. He also adores cuddles, head scratches, and just hanging out by your side. During his time at Shelter Hope, Simmba has shown how deeply he bonds with the people he trusts. He can be protective and sometimes needs help navigating his big feelings (and a touch of teenage stubbornness!), but with those he knows, he is loyal and eager for connection. Simmba also has some skin allergies, so he wears a cone to prevent licking, but it doesn't slow down his spirited, quirky personality. Simmba would do best with a single person who's ready to offer him steady guidance and companionship.
