Hello, my name is Heathcliff! I am a 3-year-old Maltese/Havanese mix weighing around 9 pounds, and I am looking for a family to call my own. I may be small, but I have a big personality and plenty of energy to keep life fun and exciting. I am a friendly, playful boy who loves toys and enjoys spending time with other dogs that are similar in size, age, and energy level. I am still learning about the world around me and will need a family that understands the time, patience, and commitment required to help a young dog continue to mature into a well-mannered companion. I am crate trained and working on my house training, but I will need consistency and positive reinforcement as I continue to learn. I enjoy playing, exploring, and staying active, so a securely fenced yard is important for my safety. I am also quite curious and have been known to be an escape artist, so my family will need to be careful when opening doors and gates. I can be vocal when I am playing or left alone, so I would likely do best in a home rather than an apartment setting. Because of my breed mix, I will also require regular grooming throughout my life to keep my coat healthy and looking its best. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination and annual vaccines, and heartworm negative. My adoption fee is $125.
