They especially love lap time and snuggling in bed. They also get along well with other dogs.  These maltipoos are seven years old. They have been spayed and neutered, and are healthy and current on all vaccinations. They weigh 17 and 25 pounds.  They would love to be your new best friends. Story
Comet was being Euthanized by his owners, he was with one family 8 years. When they moved from a house to an apartment he became anxious and bit when trying to get him from under the bed. Comet has been in my rescue and my house ever since while I try to find him a new home. He's been through behavioral training and would do best in a home with not other pets, he is a very young 8 year old and having a nice walk everyday keeps him healthy and happy. He enjoys chasing squirrels and acting like a dog. He's actually a great protector and would do great with an active owner . He is neutered,microchipped, UTD on shots and on HW and flea prevention. Kai is a sweet, intelligent and affectionate Maltipoo who forms a very strong bond with his person. He loves being close to his favorite human, cuddling, relaxing around the house and being part of everyday life. Kai can be a wonderful companion, but he does have some behavioral needs that are important for his future family to understand. He can become very possessive of his primary person Interestingly, when his primary person is not present, Kai generally behaves very well with other members of the family. His difficulties appear to be most pronounced when he feels the need to guard the person to whom he is most attached. Kai’s Diet Kai has been raised on homemade food rather than kibble, and maintaining his diet is very important to us. We are looking for an adopter who is genuinely willing and able to continue preparing appropriate homemade meals for him and who understands that this requires ongoing time and commitment.

Story
We inherited this dog from my mom. She just passed in January. She never took the time to potty train him. While she was sick we had other family here to take care of her and they almost got him potty trained but now we are not at home most of the day. We have another dog that is quite rambunctious but they get along well. We are trying to sell a house that we inherited and are now paying for 2 houses and cannot keep up with the potty accidents. We are not home most of the day so we cannot potty train him or spend time with him at this point. He is very timid but usually gets along with people after a bit. He has never bitten anyone or growled at anyone. I believe he is lapsed about a month on shots though I cannot be certain as my mom did not keep the records. They originally got him from the SPCA in McKinney and I believe are the 3rd owner but that SPCA location is now closed.

Reed is an adorable 8-month-old Miniature Poodle who is just beginning to discover how wonderful life as a beloved pet can be. Reed came to us as a breeder release, so much of the outside world is still brand new to him. New places, new sounds, walking on a leash, living in a home... he has a whole new world to explore! He is looking for a patient, loving family who will give him the time and encouragement he needs to build confidence at his own pace. Reed is great with other dogs and people, although he can be a little shy when first meeting someone. Once he realizes he's safe, his sweet personality begins to peek through. Pictures will be posted when we have them.  This sweet doodle came to us as a breeder release, which means life as a family pet is all brand new to them. They are still learning about the world outside of a kennel setting and will need a patient, understanding home that is willing to give them time to adjust and build confidence at their own pace. They do best with routine, gentle guidance, and positive reinforcement. While initially shy or unsure in new situations, their personality continues to shine more each day. Many breeder-release dogs thrive in homes with another friendly, confident dog to help show them the ropes. He is crate trained, does well with other dogs, but is not comfident with leash skills. They are not a “plug-and-play” dog and will need time to decompress, but with consistency and love, they become incredibly loyal and affectionate companions. Adopters should understand that adjustment can take several weeks or longer, and moments of insecurity or hesitation are normal during this transition. The reward is watching a dog learn what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family.
