Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! My name is Tommy! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I’d estimate around three years old in mid-2025. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a big, beautiful Mastiff mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? About 100 pounds WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I’m tan with a black mask and it looks like I’m wearing eyeliner. I am a stunningly handsome gentleman, if I do say so myself! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? It is safe to say I am not picky. I will eat anything you offer, but I also understand that it is important to watch my weight due to my size and the pressure on my joints, so I shouldn’t overindulge! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I’m a little timid toward new things and people, which is pretty typical of my breed. I’m still young, and I sometimes get vocal when I am excited. I might jump up or get the zoomies, but I am not aggressive at all and am responsive to gentle corrections. I’m just a big young goofy boy who loves to cuddle on the couch and hang out with you in the backyard. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day consists of food, naps, a nice walk, and lots of playtime with my doggy friends. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? All of them, but especially my bones, like a Nylabone, Benebone or a good sturdy Kong. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I am a smart boy! I know sit, shake and down. I also know where my bed is if you tell me to go there. I’m working on stay. WHAT SCARES YOU? I am uncomfortable with strangers in my house and do not do well with lots of people and activity like parties. I prefer a quiet home and not many people coming and going. If there is a lot of activity, I am happy to hang out in a safe space, like a crate, with a yummy bone or treat-filled Kong toy. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I need to be in a home without children, neither in residence nor visiting. Kids are unpredictable and don’t understand boundaries. I get nervous when kids get in my space and that is just not a situation you want to put me OR a child in! DO YOU LIKE CATS? No cats for me… HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love, love, love other dogs. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Oh, I love to lay on the couch next to my human. I am happy to do whatever you like to do. A nice quiet night hanging out at home is pretty much my idea of heaven. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m a perfectly healthy boy! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and dad, and there are three dogs here too! My foster mom is my closest companion, and I like being with her because she keeps me safe, feeds me, and gives me lots of cuddles. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I dig my crate. It’s like a man cave! WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Also in my crate! DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love walks! I’m very well-mannered on leash. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? Since I’m still a young boy, I need someone who is experienced with large breed dogs that can give me the structure and support I need to live a peaceful, happy life. If I get a little stressed or excited, I need you to understand that I am not being aggressive, but I do need to be given proper guidance to settle down. And NorCal Bully Breed Rescue wants to make sure that my new family is set up with all the right tools to help me succeed with you, so their trainer will work with us together for a few sessions after you adopt me! I am excited for that! Please understand that I don’t want kids coming around me when I have a toy or a bone, I don’t want to be overwhelmed with lots of people loudly partying around me, and I don’t want strange people coming in and out of my space making me feel insecure. If I am in a quiet, low-traffic home with one or two favorite humans (and a dog or two would be cool too) loving me, I will be the best boy you could ever want ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Yes I am! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I was able to play with the hose before a bath one time, that was a lot of fun! And bath time was so relaxing-I’ll do spa day anytime! As for sprinklers…I’m not sure about them yet. They’re a little intimidating. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that they love me! What more could a guy want, right? They take such good care of me and understand that I am sensitive and make me feel safe and comfortable. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I don’t really remember any of that. Because life is so wonderful now, it’s about moving forward and not looking back. Now I am really looking forward to finding my forever family who understands my large breed temperament and will keep me in a safe environment. I really am worth it… I promise! **TOMMY’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300** If you are interested in TOMMY please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
Creed was given to us at 10 weeks by a neighbor. It was a family decision to get a dog. Family is comprised of dad, mom, three daughters now ages, 7,10 and 13 with a new 2 month old newborn and a grandparent. Creed recieved some virtual training with a trainer during his first year, we were unable to complete that training due to cost. But he was taught to heel, sit, come, place, and go to his crate. He is playful, loves tug, fetch, run. Girls love him. Occasionally he does chew things that are not his.He loves to be active. I retired and started to travel, my son works and has a newborn. We do not feel we can give him the attention he needs anymore. We feel he needs to work and be busy. With the right home and a bit more training and company, he will thrive. Right now he is getting frustruated. He whines at night before going to sleep. In the morning, hes upset if we dont take him walking and barks. He barks at strangers. We are not doing him justice.

Story
Sweet Daisy Mae is a 95 pound brindle beauty with a giant heart. She is housebroken, crate trained, affectionate, attentive, and well behaved. She likes car rides and playing fetch but mostly just likes hangin' with her people. Scooters Pals saved this 4 years old Mastiff mix from "the list" at the Sacramento County animal shelter. She was known as "Cream Puff" at the animal shelter. Now we just need to find the right place for her to give and receive the joy, love and peace she deserves. Daisy bonds very quickly to humans and is very friendly to all the adults who have crossed her path. We have not seen her interact with children yet. Daisy either needs a home as your one and only pet or a home with another social dog, with humans willing to do slow introductions. Daisy did great initially in shelter play groups but since has shown dog selectivity and occasional resource guarding with another dog over food. Daisy gets along well with the male dog in her foster home as well as another male dog she has frequent play dates with. Our Daisy girl is already spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on vaccines. She is currently healthy and ready for her new home. Please contact the current foster home Michael at (530) 953-1045 for any questions. To put in a foster/adoption application for Daisy, please go to https://www.scooterspals.org

Good with dogs,
Story
I have 5 cutie male puppies looking for their forever home (only 4 pictures allowed here; puppy #5 has a yellow collar). They will be 8 weeks old on 2/3/26. For personal reasons, I need to find safe, loving homes for them by 2/7/26. I've been advertising on NextDoor and FB apps for weeks but sadly, several people who made viewing appointments failed to show and then stopped responding. Their Mom is a bull mastiff mix and was 57 pounds at one year old. Dad is unknown. They are very happy, sweet and loving. They are mostly black; some have white tippy toes and a little white on chest. They are free but you will need to take your pup to the local vet to get puppy shots. If you are ready to commit to providing a safe, loving, forever home, please message me.
