Story
Meet Milo, a sweet boy with a loyal heart. Independent by nature, Milo enjoys exploring his surroundings, sniffing out new scents and sounds with boundless curiosity. He`s the kind of dog who can entertain himself, but he also appreciates the company of humans. Milo is the sort of companion who will be by your side, through thick and thin. He`s also quick to learn new tricks, showing off his intelligence at every opportunity. Adopting Milo means gaining a steadfast friend, a curious explorer, and a smart companion who will fill your days with joy and companionship. Milo likes to take life at his own pace and enjoys time to himself, so we are requiring that any children in his new home are age 10 or older so they can understand his needs. He is selective of the other dogs he shares his space with, so we are requiring dog introductions for potential adopters who already have a canine companion at home to see if Milo and his new friend will be a good match.Adoption Price: Fee Waived!

Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! My name is Tommy! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? Somewhere between two and three years old. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a big, beautiful Mastiff mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? About 100 pounds WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I’m tan with a black mask and it looks like I’m wearing eyeliner. I am a stunningly handsome gentleman, if I do say so myself! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? It is safe to say I am not picky. I will eat anything you offer, but I also understand that it is important to watch my weight due to my size and the pressure on my joints, so I shouldn’t overindulge! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I’m a little timid toward new things and people, which is pretty typical of my breed. I’m still young, and I sometimes get vocal when I am excited. I might jump up or get the zoomies, but I am not aggressive at all and am responsive to gentle corrections. I’m just a big young goofy boy who loves to cuddle on the couch and hang out with you in the backyard. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day consists of food, naps, a nice walk, and lots of playtime with my doggy friends. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? All of them, but especially my bones, like a Nylabone, Benebone or a good sturdy Kong. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I am a smart boy! I know sit, shake and down. I also know where my bed is if you tell me to go there. I’m working on stay. WHAT SCARES YOU? I am uncomfortable with strangers in my house and do not do well with lots of people and activity like parties. I prefer a quiet home and not many people coming and going. If there is a lot of activity, I am happy to hang out in a safe space, like a crate, with a yummy bone or treat-filled Kong toy. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I need to be in a home without children, neither in residence nor visiting. Kids are unpredictable and don’t understand boundaries. I get nervous when kids get in my space and that is just not a situation you want to put me OR a child in! DO YOU LIKE CATS? No cats for me… HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love, love, love other dogs. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Oh, I love to lay on the couch next to my human. I am happy to do whatever you like to do. A nice quiet night hanging out at home is pretty much my idea of heaven. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m a perfectly healthy boy! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and dad, and there are three dogs here too! My foster mom is my closest companion, and I like being with her because she keeps me safe, feeds me, and gives me lots of cuddles. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I dig my crate. It’s like a man cave! WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Also in my crate! DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love walks! I’m very well-mannered on leash. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? Since I’m still a young boy, I need someone who is experienced with large breed dogs that can give me the structure and support I need to live a peaceful, happy life. If I get a little stressed or excited, I need you to understand that I am not being aggressive, but I do need to be given proper guidance to settle down. And NorCal Bully Breed Rescue wants to make sure that my new family is set up with all the right tools to help me succeed with you, so their trainer will work with us together for a few sessions after you adopt me! I am excited for that! Please understand that I don’t want kids coming around me when I have a toy or a bone, I don’t want to be overwhelmed with lots of people loudly partying around me, and I don’t want strange people coming in and out of my space making me feel insecure. If I am in a quiet, low-traffic home with one or two favorite humans (and a dog or two would be cool too) loving me, I will be the best boy you could ever want ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Yes I am! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I was able to play with the hose before a bath one time, that was a lot of fun! And bath time was so relaxing-I’ll do spa day anytime! As for sprinklers…I’m not sure about them yet. They’re a little intimidating. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that they love me! What more could a guy want, right? They take such good care of me and understand that I am sensitive and make me feel safe and comfortable. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I don’t really remember any of that. Because life is so wonderful now, it’s about moving forward and not looking back. Now I am really looking forward to finding my forever family who understands my large breed temperament and will keep me in a safe environment. I really am worth it… I promise! **TOMMY’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300** If you are interested in TOMMY please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. A sweet dog. She is a big girl who can be a fairly strong puller on leash but responds well to a harness leash configuration. She has been fitted with an Easy Walk harness that will be a gift to her adopter. Her former foster reports that she likes to go on car rides, is affectionate, and potty trained. The foster also reported that she is generally well behaved but can be jumpy. This beautiful lady has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. Meet Bolo – A Gentle Giant Who Identifies as a Tiger! ????At 6 years old, Bolo is a brindle beauty with a heart just as big as his paws! This Mastiff mix has been in and out of the shelter system, searching for his true furever home, and he’s hoping someone will see just how special he is. Bolo isn’t just a regular dog—he identifies as a tiger! Despite his past, Bolo is gentle as can be, especially when accepting treats. He’s treat-motivated, knows his basic commands, and is working hard on his leash manners. And don’t forget—he’s a total goofball! Whether he’s giving you a silly grin, flopping over for belly rubs, or just trotting around like the majestic tiger he believes he is, Bolo’s personality is larger than life.Bolo adores people and, with a slow and proper introduction, gets along well with other dogs too. If you’re looking for a loving, goofy, and totally unique companion, Bolo is your guy. Come meet him today—he’s ready to bring a little tiger energy and a lot of affection to your life! ????

Story
Meet Mamacita: Your Gentle Giant Mamacita is a 5-year-old brindle Mastiff weighing in at a majestic 107 lbs. of pure love. She was found with her buddy Ferdinand (who has since been adopted), and now it's her turn to find the soft, cozy forever home she deserves. This big girl is the definition of a gentle soul. With a calm and easygoing personality, Mamacita is a dream to walk; she moves at a relaxed pace and takes treats with the softest touch. Think of her as the loving mom who makes you cookies, reminds you to wear a sweater, and always wants you to feel safe and cared for.Mamacita has that `mama energy`â&#194&#128&#194&#148comforting, warm, and full of quiet affection. She's not dog reactive and loves a peaceful environment where she can lounge in comfort; go on slow, sniffy strolls; and enjoy hearty, delicious meals. Despite her size, she's convinced she's a lap dog and won't hesitate to snuggle up close if you let her.If you're looking for a loyal companion who is equal parts majestic and mellow, Mamacita is ready to fill your life (and couch) with love. Come meet this sweet girl and give her the retirement home she's been dreaming of. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
Bailey is one Chill Dude! He is a big Velcro Dog. He pretty much just wants to sleep most of the day, as long as he knows where you are but loves a nice long walk too. He is great on leash, no pulling or reactivity. He is the epitome of a gentle giant. He loves his foster's Cal King bed. She said she probably should not have let him get on it BUT the lure of having a huge snuggle bunny in bed at night, was just too tempting. Now he is in heaven and rarely leaves the bed. Bailey came from the Stockton Shelter, he had a large mass on his spleen, and an enlarged prostate with 2 very large testicles swinging around. We were able to raise $5,000 to get all of his medical done - splenectomy, neuter and ears cleaned and treated) and now he is just perfect. Tumor was benign so he is ready to be your life size snuggle bunny, if you are ready. We have noticed slight resource guarding with human food (reason he should not be in the kitchen) and high value treats but it is not very bad and we are working on it using "trade up" or not allowing him to have items he feels he needs to guard. As far as other dogs, he really does not care about them. Same with cats, just sorta looks at them and then goes about his business. BUT, that does not mean there is no prey drive. We will be testing him. As far as children go, we have not had him around any of those yet, but will. I suspect he treats them just like everything else, checks it out and then moves on his way. He does have a special need. We are pretty sure he is deaf. While he was under for his operation they cleaned out his ears and treated them but he still does not really hear much. Might be why he is so chill. We will have the ears looked at next to see if there is anything more needed for him. He is ready for new foster home or adoption. We are willing to do a Foster to Adopt or just a foster if you are interested. We need him to get more interaction with other stimuli, the home he is in now is very quiet.
