WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! My name is Tommy! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a boy! 💙 HOW OLD ARE YOU? Somewhere between two and three years old. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a big, beautiful Mastiff mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? About 100 pounds WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I’m tan with a black mask and it looks like I’m wearing eyeliner. I am a stunningly handsome gentleman, if I do say so myself! 😍 WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? It is safe to say I am not picky. I will eat anything you offer, but I also understand that it is important to watch my weight due to my size and the pressure on my joints, so I shouldn’t overindulge! 😊 WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I’m a little timid toward new things and people, which is pretty typical of my breed. I have been told that I am a little bit like a headstrong teenager who needs to be given boundaries to understand that I can’t jump up on people. If I do jump up, I am responsive to gentle corrections and I am trainable if you have patience with me. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day consists of food, naps, a nice walk, and lots of playtime with my doggy friends. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? All of them, but especially my bones, like a Nylabone, Benebone or a good sturdy Kong. 🦴 DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I am a smart boy! I know sit, shake and down. I also know where my bed is if you tell me to go there. I’m working on stay. 🤩 WHAT SCARES YOU? I am uncomfortable with strangers in my house and I do not do well with lots of people and activity like parties. I prefer quiet and not many people coming and going. If there is a lot of activity, I am happy to hang out in a safe space, like a crate, with a yummy bone or treat-filled Kong toy. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I need to be in a home without children, neither in residence nor visiting. Kids are unpredictable and don’t understand boundaries. I get nervous when kids get in my space and that is just not a situation you want to put me OR a child in! DO YOU LIKE CATS? No cats for me…🐱 HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love, love, love other dogs. 🐶 IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Oh, I love to lay on the couch next to my human. I am happy to do whatever you like to do. A nice quiet night hanging out at home is pretty much my idea of heaven. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m a perfectly healthy boy! 😁 WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I dig my crate. It’s like a man cave! WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Also in my crate! 😴 DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love walks! I’m very well-mannered on leash. 🦮 DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I know I mentioned this before in the earlier questions about my personality and my fears, but I want to make sure to explain myself clearly. I am SUCH a great guy, but I need someone who is experienced with large breed dogs that can give me the structure and support I need to live a peaceful, happy life. If I get mouthy when I get stressed or excited, I need you to understand that I am not being aggressive, but I do need to be given proper guidance to settle down. I don’t want kids coming around me when I have a toy or a bone, I don’t want to be overwhelmed with lots of people loudly partying around me, and I don’t want strange people coming in and out of my space making me feel insecure. If I am in a quiet, low-traffic home with one or two favorite humans (and a dog or two would be cool too) loving me, I will be the best boy you could ever want. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Yes I am! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I was able to play with the hose before a bath one time, that was a lot of fun! And bath time was so relaxing-I’ll do spa day anytime! As for sprinklers…I’m not sure about them yet. They’re a little intimidating.💦 WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I don’t really remember any of that. Because life is so wonderful now, it’s about moving forward and not looking back. Now I am really looking forward to finding my forever family who understands my large breed temperament and will keep me in a safe environment. I really am worth it… I promise! 💖 ⭐️TOMMY’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300⭐️ If you are interested in TOMMY please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. I have a good amount of energy but thankfully I`m past my puppy stage. I`m also great at my commands if you`re into showing off how smart I am! What can I say, I`ll do anything for treats. Story
Meet the gentle giant, Bronx! This lovely dog is sweet and quiet. He is clean in his kennel and seems to be a sensitive boy. Bronx loves playing with toys and is quite the cuddle bug once he's comfortable! He had an unstable life up until this point and takes a while to trust new people, so would benefit from an experienced person who is willing to put in the time to support him. Bronx has not shown any form of aggression in the shelter and has taken quite a liking to shelter staff so we know he has it in him to trust people! Will you give Bronx the time and love he needs?! Bronx is 2 years old, neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. Call Grass Valley Animal Shelter at (530) 477-4630 or stop by the shelter at 556B Freeman Lane, Grass Valley Tuesday through Saturday from noon - 4 pm.

Story
Charlie was born on August 26, 2020. He was given to us as a puppy in November 2020. We love Charlie as he is sweet and loving, however, we cannot keep him any longer as my husband has allergies that have been getting worse. Charlie was a house pet for 2 years but the last year or so he has been outside in his dog house as my husband cant no longer deal with his crippling allergies. We love Charlie and we were waiting for someone we knew to take him so that we could visit him, but we no longer want him to wait. We would want him to find a someone that will love him as much as we do or even more. He is an amazing animal that has so much love to give

Story
Zoey is a gorgeous huge mastiff/pitty mix. She is amazing with people and her previous home she lived with kids and a small dog. Zoey can be timid and nervous with other big dogs but is learning to work through that. UPDATE: ZOEY IS A SPECTACULAR DOG. The amazing intermountain mannered mutts took zoey in and she completed 30 days of training, has gone agility courses, dock diving classes, and is going to a dog show. She needs an amazing adopter that will continue to allow her amazing abilities to shine. This is not a dog that deserves to be a couch potato, she WANTS TO DO AMAZING THINGS and live life to the fullest with adventure! Because of amazing people, we are asking our animal lover supporters and pitty advocates to help us sponsor training for dogs like her. Every cent counts. davispetrescue@gmail.com

Story
Bailey is one Chill Dude! He is a big Velcro Dog. He pretty much just wants to sleep most of the day, as long as he knows where you are but loves a nice long walk too. He is great on leash, no pulling or reactivity. He is the epitome of a gentle giant. He loves his foster's Cal King bed. She said she probably should not have let him get on it BUT the lure of having a huge snuggle bunny in bed at night, was just too tempting. Now he is in heaven and rarely leaves the bed. Bailey came from the Stockton Shelter, he had a large mass on his spleen, and an enlarged prostate with 2 very large testicles swinging around. We were able to raise $5,000 to get all of his medical done - splenectomy, neuter and ears cleaned and treated) and now he is just perfect. Tumor was benign so he is ready to be your life size snuggle bunny, if you are ready. We have noticed slight resource guarding with human food (reason he should not be in the kitchen) and high value treats but it is not very bad and we are working on it using "trade up" or not allowing him to have items he feels he needs to guard. As far as other dogs, he really does not care about them. Same with cats, just sorta looks at them and then goes about his business. BUT, that does not mean there is no prey drive. We will be testing him. As far as children go, we have not had him around any of those yet, but will. I suspect he treats them just like everything else, checks it out and then moves on his way. He does have a special need. We are pretty sure he is deaf. While he was under for his operation they cleaned out his ears and treated them but he still does not really hear much. Might be why he is so chill. We will have the ears looked at next to see if there is anything more needed for him. He is ready for new foster home or adoption. We are willing to do a Foster to Adopt or just a foster if you are interested. We need him to get more interaction with other stimuli, the home he is in now is very quiet.
