Story
Meet Winnie! Winnie is another one of our babies who was found just wandering around a rural area in South Georgia. Locals reported seeing Winnie waiting at the bus stop for children each day but still no one ever came looking for her Winnie is a strikingly beautiful brindle girl, about 5 yrs old. She's very chill and would probably thrive as the Queen of her own Castle, but she does get along well with other dogs too. A nice quiet place to sun bathe outside and a comfy sofa with a soft blanket is what this lovely lady wants more than anything else! As is very common with most of the dogs we rescue from rural areas, Winnie did test positive for heartworm disease. RMG utilizes a slow kill treatment protocol studied by a veterinary cardiologist in Atlanta. All treatment medications are provided and there are typically no lasting effects after successful treatment  Interested in adding a bit of royalty to your family? Story
Cordelia was born Aug 2021 and is a sweet pocket Pitbull/Mix. This happy girl is deaf, though it does not affect her at all! She is crate trained and house-trained. Cordelia is an energetic girl. She is dog friendly and has a rough and tumble play style. Cordelia is looking for a patient family that understands that she is special needs, and one that will provide her with the ongoing care she deserves. If you are looking for a loving girl that will never seem to age from a personality perspective, then Cordelia is your girl! She would thrive in a calm but active house, with older kids (teenager and up), and another playful dog, or on her own. Cordelia is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. For more information about Cordelia, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.May 18, 2025, 1:05 am

Story
Meet Barklee Barklee is a big puppy who is still learning how to behave. He is easily trained with commands when not distracted. He loves to cuddle and loves blankets. He is still food-motivated, but his favorite treats are ice cubes! As much as he loves people and getting attention, he is still very reactive to other dogs (particularly males). So, continued training is required. With his size (approximately 75 lbs), the fact that he doesn’t know his size or strength, and he’s still learning to make good choices, an ideal home environment at this time would be: - No young children - Single-family home; no apartment - Fenced yard at least 5ft high - No cats - No dogs, unless you’re able to integrate Barklee into the home well over time. He currently lives with two female dogs that were already in the home; they are 50-60 lbs (one dominant, one submissive). However, it’s uncertain whether an existing male/female or dominant/submissive dog in a new home would make a difference/be better - Not being left alone for long periods. He’s used to having at least one person at home or the two other dogs at all time. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
This is a tough one, but were trying to do what's best for our dogs. We have two beautiful Mastadors (Mastiff-Lab mix), a brother and sister, just over a year old. Super sweet, loving pups with great temperaments. With both my fiance and I being in the military, it's become extremely difficult and expensive to find proper care for them during training and time away. We've tried everything we can to make it work, but we've reached a point where we need to find them a new home. We absolutely will not take them to a county shelter, where they would be euthanized-these two deserve a chance to thrive in a loving home or a no-kill shelter. Were ideally looking for someone who: -Has experience with large breeds -Can take them together (would love, but not necessary) -Has a fenced yard or space for them to play -Will treat them like family If you or someone you know might be the right fit, please message me. Happy to answer questions, share photos, or arrange a visit.

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet. Meet Henry – Your Future Gentle Giant Are you ready to fall in love with a big-hearted goofball? Meet Henry, a 3-year-old Mastiff with a soft soul and a whole lot of love to give. This sweet boy is all about affection—he’ll happily nudge his way into your personal space just for some head rubs and ear scratches! Henry is a low-to-medium energy companion, making him the perfect buddy to hang out with while you work, relax, or binge your favorite show. He’s dog-friendly and enjoys rough-and-rowdy play, but he is pretty submissive. Some of Henry’s favorite things? Balls! He’s obsessed. Treats! He’s very food-motivated (and usually gentle about it). Cuddles! Big dog, even bigger heart. Henry walks well on leash but can be startled by loud or sudden noises, so we recommend double-leashing for extra safety on walks. He came into a high-intake shelter in rough shape—emaciated and in need of TLC. Since moving into a loving foster home in March, he’s been steadily gaining weight and thriving. He still has a bit more to go, but he's well on his way! A couple of things to keep in mind: He’s tall and can easily counter-surf, so keep tasty items out of reach! He’s still learning some manners, but his eagerness to please (especially with treats involved) makes training easier. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and wonderfully goofy best friend, Henry might just be your perfect match. Age:  3 years  Weight: 90lbs Temperament: Gets along with other dogs with proper introduction Training: Housetrained Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention Email for questions:     sonali@doggieharmony.org To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. May 13, 2025, 6:54 pm
