Smoke, a striking extra-large Grey Merle Mastiff-Mix, has faced significant challenges throughout his three years of life. After being surrendered to a shelter in 2023, he was fortunate enough to be rescued by a compassionate local foster just days before a scheduled euthanasia. Smoke was later adopted, but due to unfortunate circumstances, his family had to return him to the shelter. He is now with Misty Eyes and is seeking a second chance at a loving forever home. Smoke is not only a good boy, but also gets along well with other dogs and enjoys people, making him a wonderful companion. Story
We rescued Doyle from our local shelter as we suspected an obstruction. He received surgery, in which several things were found, including foam and screws. He has recovered nicely from the procedure and has gained over 20lbs! He has had no interested in eating anything other than food since his surgery. We suspect he was starved, and resorted to eating whatever he could find at the time. Doyle is delightful, friendly and low energy. He has no clue that he doesn't fit in your lap, and wants nothing more than to flop his body all over you in lovings! If you have kids, we would recommend children over the age of 10, as he is a big boy!

Story
Harry is a big, lovable derpy dog who loves everyone he meets. Harry is about 85% potty trained and he’s 100% lapdog. He doesn't know how big he is, and wears his love on the outside. He is certainly a very happy dog if he has room to move. No fault of his own, Harry has been bounced around from home to home and did a couple tours of the city shelter when we stepped in and decided to give him a chance. Harry has had very little structure in his young life and he most likely missed the window of development when dogs learn to read other dogs. So, while he absolutely loves other dogs, he has no idea how to read body language. Because of this, Harry will need slow introductions and a tolerant dog friend to set him up for success when meeting other dogs. Harry has some separation anxiety and would do best in a home where he gets to go most places with his people or his people are home a lot. Harry also has no idea that he’s an 95 lb dog with more weight to put on. Because of Harry's large size and inability to read personal space, he would do better with a stronger person of stature. Harry thinks he is still a puppy and can easily be unpredictable with his joy. He's basically a lovable-wrecking ball in dog form. Harry has the stubbornness of a mastiff. If he doesn't want to do something he either plays "catch the mastiff" or "dead mastiff." Both can be frustrating, but also funny if you like that kind of thing. Most of what Harry is trying to avoid is being alone. You absolutely will not find a dog with a bigger heart than Harry. But I’m not gonna lie, he is A LOT. He’s got some baggage from being bounced around. He needs structure, patience, and time. And, of course, lots of love. Are you Harry’s person? Roxie is a sweet, shy girl currently thriving in her foster home. She warms up slowly, but once she trusts you, she’s loving, goofy, and very treat-motivated.She’s done well with easygoing dogs and is still learning how to understand cats. New people and places can be overwhelming for her, so she’ll need a patient home that lets her settle at her own pace. Because she startles easily and doesn’t enjoy close handling, she’d do best in an adult-only home or one with older teens.Roxie loves car rides, does great for baths, and has some ongoing medical needs like hip dysplasia and skin/knee issues, which are managed with joint supplements and a gentle diet.If you’re looking for a loyal companion who blossoms with kindness and routine, Roxie could be the perfect match!Roxie is currently in foster—if you’d like to see if she’s a good fit, just submit an application and we’ll review it to set up a meet-and-greet with her foster.*Roxie has been waiting for her forever home for over 100 days, which makes her a Featured Pet!
