Meet Amigo! An 89lb, 2-year-old, Mastiff mix who is looking for a fresh start after being surrendered to the shelter through no fault of his own. While this transition has been a big change for him, he`s ready to find a family that will give him the love and guidance he deserves.According to his previous owner, Amigo is a social dog who gets along great with other dogs both at home and out in public. He especially enjoys playing, running, and making new canine friends. He also did well with small children in and outside the home, making him a wonderful candidate for a family looking for a playful companion. When meeting new people, Amigo can be a little shy at first, but it doesn`t take long for his affectionate personality to shine through once he feels comfortable.Amigo has never been around cats, so his compatibility with feline friends is unknown. He is also not yet house-trained or crate-trained, so he`ll need a patient adopter who is willing to help him learn these important skills. With consistency, positive reinforcement, and plenty of encouragement, Amigo has every opportunity to thrive. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting, please use the link below to fill out the application. Once we receive that back, then we can schedule you a meeting with the animal you are interested in.https://form.jotform.com/261544309434052

Meet Rodeo! This 72lb, 1-year-old, Mastiff came to the shelter as a stray, and he is living up to his name in the best way possible!Being just a puppy, Rodeo has lots of energy. He loves toys, soaks up attention, and is convinced that everyone he meets is there to be his new best friend. The only catch? He hasn`t quite realized just how big he is! His favorite activities include jumping, bouncing, and enthusiastically greeting people with his whole body. During playtime, his excitement can get a little overwhelming—he`s strong enough that he`ll keep you on your toes! With some basic training, consistency, and plenty of exercise, Rodeo has all the makings of an amazing companion. He`s a sweet, lovable giant with a heart as big as his paws, and he`s eager to learn. If you`re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate pup who will keep you smiling (and maybe give you a workout!), Rodeo is ready to ride off into the sunset with you.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Story
Meet Atlas, the gentle giant! Atlas is a sweet brindle Mastiff/Lab mix who’s been waiting far too long for his forever home. He’s ready to bring lots of love, loyalty, and a little bit of goofy charm into someone’s life. Atlas has a soft spot for the ladies and is a bit of a gentleman at heart (though he’ll happily hang with the guys too). He’s a playful, happy boy who enjoys romping around the yard with his favorite toys just as much as he enjoys relaxing and snuggling with his people. And when he sits with those adorable crossed paws, he looks like the most sophisticated pup around. Atlas would do best in a home without young children, as loud environments can make him uncomfortable. He also prefers to be the only pet, so no other dogs or cats—he’d love to soak up all the attention himself! The good news? Atlas is potty trained, crate trained, and does great on a leash. He’s a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, laid-back dog to share their days with. If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted best friend, Atlas might just be your perfect match. ##1759977##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Diesel is the kind of dog who makes a strong first impression for all the right reasons. When staff met him, he was friendly, polite, and happy to accept treats with excellent manners. He even showed off his `sit` command, proving that he has already learned a few important life skills. With his gentle nature and easygoing attitude, Diesel seems to be the type of companion who enjoys being around people and appreciates a little kindness and attention. Staff have continued to see a sweet dog who greets people with loose wags and an open heart. While he carries a few scars that hint at stories from his past, Diesel seems much more interested in looking forward than looking back. He is ready for a future filled with soft beds, good snacks, and people who appreciate what a wonderful dog he is. Like his namesake, Diesel appears dependable and built to go the distance. The difference is that this Diesel runs on treats, affection, and quality time with his favorite humans. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter`s care. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet

Story
Koba is a wonderful example of why every dog deserves a chance to settle in before you get to know them. Once he had the opportunity to decompress, he quickly revealed himself to be a sweet, playful boy with loose tail wags and an affectionate personality. He happily sought out attention, enjoyed playing with a rope toy, and made it clear that spending time with people is one of his favorite things. It`s amazing how quickly his true personality shines once he feels safe. Koba is an adult dog with a fun-loving spirit and a gentle heart. He`s been easy to leash, easy to handle, and cooperative throughout his veterinary care. He has some overgrown nails, minor ear scabbing from fly strike, mild dental tartar, and is a little underweight, all of which should improve with routine care and good nutrition. Koba is ready to leave the stress of shelter life behind and show his future family just how loyal, playful, and loving he can be.
